Jezebel

"Mom, I need you to tell me everything," I say as calmly as I can.

I'm happy that my father isn't dead, but if my father is still suspicious of me, he may not be trustworthy. I have so many mixed emotions about my father right now. I just wish he hadn't ever doubted who I am. I put the car back into drive and head towards home.

"Start from when you realized that the pack was under attack," I say.

"Alright," she mumbles, fidgeting with her hands. "There was supposed to be a party for Tisha last night. Everyone was getting ready for it. It wasn't until we began to head there that the pack fully realized what had occurred. The guards were acting differently. There were bodies strewn about different areas of the pack... men that didn't betray Alpha Theodore," she whispers. "Hysteria ensued as some of the dead became recognized, and their families freaked out. I couldn't bring myself to look closely enough at their faces to see if any of them were your father. I had felt a surge of

TheodoreWe sneak to the part of the chain link fence where we last saw Susan. We stare at the fence for a few minutes before Brayden notices that a section at the bottom is a bit curled. Susan didn't get the trap door closed all the way. Thank the Gods because if she had, we may never have found it. I am blown away that this is even here and extremely curious about who is responsible for creating it.Brayden crawls through, and I quickly follow. I close the flap back, ensuring no one else will find it. Brayden isn't moving, so I peek around him so I can see what he is seeing. Sleeping wolves? Upon closer inspection, I recognize a few of them... classmates of Tisha's. I quickly scan all their faces, hoping to see her and Cassidy amongst them. They aren't here. Tisha probably did this, and she is probably the one who created the secret door. I am both angry and impressed. One of the wolves starts to stir, so I motion for Brayden that we need to get away from here. "I can smell Susan. W

CassidyTisha comes back inside after Jon goes out to check on them. My father exits the bathroom, and we all sit in silence for a few minutes. I can tell there is much my mother wants to discuss, but thankfully, she understands the conversation should be had in private. "How did your conversation with Jezebel go?" I ask, breaking the silence. "I'm not sure," Tisha replies. "I think it went... fine. She looked less hateful towards me by the end of it, so fingers crossed that she will be able to forgive me and move on from it.""I'm sure she will," I reply. "No sense in harboring a grudge over it. Especially when there are more important matters at hand and your betrayal was done out of love."Tisha snorts. "Using love and betrayal in the same sentence feels like an oxymoron to me."I giggle. "Guess it kinda does, huh?""Well, we should all probably go home," my mother says. "It is getting late. We never turned your bedroom into anything else. It is exactly as you left it. So you two

Theodore"Don't talk to my mate like that," Jon growls. Brayden gasps."Jezebel is mated to the Alpha?" He whispers. Then he looks at me as if asking me how it is possible. I shrug my shoulders."Jezebel isn't a witch, you moron!" Jon spits at Theodore."That is what you are meant to believe," Theodore sneers. "Witches are tricky bitches. Looks like she has you exactly where she wants you," he chuckles. "I don't really care if you believe that she is a witch or not."Theodore looks smug. He truly believes I am a witch, and of course, he does. This is exactly what Tisha and Cassidy had planned for. They wanted him to believe without a doubt that Cassidy's fake prophecy was true, and he does. Boy, is he in for a shock. I can't help but smile at the thought."Smiling because you pulled one over on your smitten "mate" here?" Theodore sneers mockingly. "You are absolutely right. You caught me," I say sarcastically and raise my hands up in mock surrender. "Believe what you want to believe

Tisha"Tisha! Wake up! He's here," Cassidy whispers urgently while shaking me awake. My heart is pounding in my chest."Who's here?" I ask, anxiously looking around."Your father," she whispers, almost too quietly for me to hear. "My father?" I question. Her eyes are wide, and her face is pale. She puts her hand on her stomach, and a few tears trickle down her cheek."What did you see, Cassidy?" I ask, once I have realized that my father isn't here, in this room, but rather here... in Wolvesbane territory. Both of her hands are on her stomach now."Are you okay? Do you feel sick? What do you need me to do?"She is full-on sobbing now. She hasn't said much, so I have no idea what is going on? We sit in silence for a few. I am so anxious for her to talk to me, but whatever she saw is clearly bothering her. I can tell she needs some extra time to process whatever it was, so I am trying hard to be patient. Finally, she speaks."I had a dream... a vision," she stammers. She clutches the sh

  • The She Alpha Prophecy   The Takeover

SpencerIt was easier taking over Silverhair pack than I had thought it was going to be. One lesson that can be learned here is to ensure that you're a good enough Alpha that your pack doesn't despise you or decide to betray you. Alpha Theodore may have instilled fear in his men, but he didn't instill respect or loyalty. It pains me to admit that Deacon reminds me of Theodore. He is impulsive and selfish. If I can not make him see the error of his ways, I may have to name someone other than my son as the next Alpha of Redwood pack. With any luck, this situation could open his eyes. Only a few men stood with Theodore, so the takeover was short. Since I injected Theodore with a strong paralytic he will be out for the rest of the night, which gives me plenty of time to handle the new pack business while Deacon 'wolf sits'. Deacon has too many opinions, and unfortunately, most of them are childish. Deacon wanted to do the takeover together, but the best I can do is have him keep an eye o

  • The She Alpha Prophecy   Revenge is Bitter Sweet

TheodoreI shudder after Cassidy growls, demanding to know why I have come here. I never realized how intimidating a female's growl could be. The fact that I am a prisoner and tied to a chair might have something to do with it, too."Don't you know why I'm here, Cassidy," I taunt her. She is a prophecy wolf, after all. Did the Gods not show her what happened in Silverhair territory? Is she really clueless as to why I am here?"You have come for me... and Tisha?" she questions. I smirk. She must be pretending not to know about the takeover."Was this the plan?" I growl. "Infiltrate Silverhair pack, feed me false prophecies, and allow the Redwood pack to takeover. I'd give you a round of applause, but..." I nod my head to the ropes that have me restrained."What the fuck are you talking about?" she asks.I scoff. As if she doesn't know. "I am here because Spencer and his now dead son took over my pack last night. But you knew that already, didn't you? It did conveniently happen after yo

  • The She Alpha Prophecy   Momma Bear

CassidyTheodore claims he didn't come here for Tisha and I. He is accusing me of assisting another pack... the Redwood pack to be specific... in taking over the Silverhair pack. I, of course, did no such thing, and I have no clue what he is even saying. From what I can gather, we just narrowly missed the invasion, which was lucky for us. Now I understand my vision a bit better, as the reason Alpha Jon would even consider working with this vile piece of shit had me very confused and worried. I still do not like the idea of working with him, and I saw a glimpse of what my son's lives would be like if he were to find out about them. He turns them into spoiled brats that are more egotistical and cruel than he is. I will NEVER let that happen!"Can I talk to you... privately," I ask Jon."Sure," he says before following me out of the barn. After we have walked far enough away that I feel certain Theodore won't be able to strain his ears and hear us, I confront Jon."I know you are planni

TishaAs soon as my father finds out Cassidy is carrying his son... well, she is actually carrying two, but he doesn't know that... his demeanor changes. His facial features soften, and he speaks to Cassidy gently. He eases up his hold on her, and I can see a very noticeable change in him. He is looking at her the way I look at her. Hearing that he has finally fathered a son has shifted his obsession into love. My father is in love with my mate! My stomach churns. She is not even afraid! Does she love him too, despite being mated to me? Is this some kind of Stockholm syndrome? I look back down at the ground, too disgusted to watch what is unfolding in front of me. My father will finally have a son, which means he doesn't need a daughter. Cassidy's babies may share my blood, but they are not mine... the twins are theirs... so where do I fit? I glance up and see Cassidy smiling sweetly at my father. A huge tear falls down my left cheek as I watch her raise her hands toward him, as if s

Cassius AKA Caz My twin brother and I just turned 22. As soon as we turned 19, Tristan found his mate, Trinity Henley, the alphas' daughter. I'm still waiting, but I'm not in a hurry. I like my solitude. I love to read and expand my knowledge. My brother is always teasing me about being a book nerd, but our moms love it. They get excited to buy me new books. I'll read anything, but my favorite books are full of mystery, action, and adventure. I love my moms, but they each have a favorite. I was named after our mother, Cassidy, and Tristan was named after our mother, Tisha. Tristan had his first vision when we were 16. Our mother Cassidy is a Prophecy Wolf, and the gift is passed to one child in each generation. Tristan is younger by two minutes. They bond over their gifts, and hence, he is her favorite. Our mother, Tisha, favors me. She calls us the normies. But I'm not a normie. Im just pretending. I see every vision Tristan sees, I just never go into a trance like state. I al

  • The She Alpha Prophecy   Happy Endings

Jezebel Now that all the work is done, it's time for fun. We're celebrating all across the pack with tables of food set up on every corner. Cornhole tournaments. Euchre tournaments. Some of the guys have been playing basketball. There is a lot to enjoy, no matter which part of the pack you venture to. I can't recall a time in my life when I have ever experienced a celebration as magnificent as this! Even a lot of our allies are here. The packs can mingle again, and Uncle Jedd finally found his mate! Her husband died in battle six years ago. She came from the Redwood pack. We sent him to handle some pack business with our new ally, and she happened to be in the vicinity. Her name is Abigail. She moved in with Uncle Jedd right away. They got a bigger and nicer house. She brought her daughter, Evie. She is 22. And her son, Gavin, who is 14. Jon also gets to be reunited with his mom and his siblings. "Oh, she's gorgeous, hunny," Loretta says to Jon after he introduces me. "It's nice t

  • The She Alpha Prophecy   The Kiss of Release

JezebelI drive as fast as I can toward the entrance of the pack. I can not believe the war has started."Jade?" Silence."Jade!" I cry out nervously, tears cascading down my cheeks. "Please, answer me."Silence."JADE!" I scream. And still... silence. The scream helped alleviate some of the frustration, but I'm still fucking terrified. I'm getting close to the gate. I can see the battle up ahead. I don't know what to do. There are so many wolves a few hundred yards in front of me. Jon is right. In my human form, I am weak. Jade is the real Alpha, not me. Without her, there is nothing I can do. "Jade! What about the vision? Jon does not fight this war alone, Jade. Where the fuck are you?" I growl. The silence is deafening. Maybe this isn't the only battle. Maybe this isn't our time. I decide it's probably best to just turn around and seek refuge with the rest of the innocents like Jon wanted. Before I can put the car in reverse, the passenger door swings open, and someone takes a sea

  • The She Alpha Prophecy   The Time for War is Now

Spencer"What do you mean they escaped?" I growl.Three of my guards cower in fear before me. The block of cells they were guarding was attacked. Lights cut out. Injections of a sedative given. The fact that Marc and Hazel were discovered in the cell where my prophecy wolves were supposed to be tells me all I need to know. Bonnie and Clyde were plotting to steal one or both of them. The Gods only know where they planned to go because there aren't many options available to them. Going rogue is all they could have done. Stupid. Kids these days just don't have any fucking common sense. And where in the fuck did he get the sedatives? He tried a trick from my book. I bet the security cameras caught them in the act of some things. He must have stolen the sedatives from me. Heathen!"We failed you, Alpha. Punish us as you wish," a cracked voice whimpers, bringing me back to the guards. They all stand there with their heads hung low. They look so pathetic. "Because I need your permission fir

  • The She Alpha Prophecy   The Time is Near

JezebelIt's been almost two weeks since Cassidy and Shirley returned home. Cassidy has been in a coma ever since. She passed out as soon as they stepped through the gates. Everyone is worried. Tisha and Shirley have hardly left her side. The rest of us have been busy. The war is near. We can all feel it in the air. After Marc and Hazel's betrayal and the Redwood pack losing their precious captives, we know we don't have much time. We don't know how much our enemy knows about our pack or the locations of Marc's tunnels. Jon comes up behind me and rubs my shoulders."Stop thinking so much," he lectures. "We have most of the tunnels caved in and traps in the others. It isn't going to be easy for them to get through. We're a fortress," he smirks proudly."It's happening," I reply seriously. "We might win, but it isn't a sure thing. I just wish Cassidy would wake up. Or that we were successful in finding that witch Shirley said helped them escape.""She is tied to the God's somehow. Shirl

  • The She Alpha Prophecy   It's Time to Go

Cassidy"I can't believe my mother refused to come with us. I doubt they are going to be very welcoming toward her once we are gone," a voice whispers."Now isn't the time to be crying for mommy. We can't fuck around. We have to be quick if we are going to make it out of here in time," another voice huffs quietly.I can see two silhouettes, but the room is dark, so I can't quite make out who they are, although I have an idea. "Give me the syringe if you aren't going to do anything but whine.""What crawled up your ass and died? You don't have to be such a bitch!" My eyes are adjusting, but I can't see well. Why in the hell is it so dark? "Which one is Cassidy?" One of the voices hisses."Hell, if I know. Great idea cutting the lights.""If I hadn't, then the guard wouldn't have been as easy to take out. Here."One hands something to the other. I hear a scratching sound and then smell sulfur as a match is lit. The match confirms my suspicion that the two intruders are Marc and Hazel

  • The She Alpha Prophecy   Who Are You

Cassidy"Who are you?" I yell through the bars of our cell door. The girl snickers but doesn't reply."Answer me! What did that dream mean? Why are you here? WHO ARE YOU?" I'm pissed. I don't like mind games."QUIET!" A guard shouts. "Otherwise, you can take a trip to the pit."I have no idea what the pit is, but judging by his sneer, I doubt I want to know. I climb to the top bunk and lie down, huffing. I miss Tisha so much right now. I'm sure she is so worried. I hope she's okay. Wolvesbane pack isn't where she came from, but it has to be where she belongs. I hope Jon and Jezebel recognize that. I hope she's safe. I roll over and face the wall so that my mother can't see the tears slipping down my cheeks. After a few minutes, I hear her get settled on the bottom bunk. Not long after, I drift off to sleep. I dream of the girl and the cup game again. Everything plays out the exact same way. I wake up gasping for breath after choking on the ball again. I sit up in bed and start to scr

  • The She Alpha Prophecy   Once an Advantage, Now a Disadvantage

JonJezebel and I rush to meet Lance at the other tunnel entrance discovered in the woods. Jedd and Tisha are on their way as well. Their tunnel didn't lead anywhere interesting. It forked off. Each fork led to different spots in the town. Someone had to have helped this kid! If not, he was highly determined and must have started working on them at like the age of ten to have dug as much as he did. My mind is seriously blown at his accomplishment. "How long since they went through?" Jezebel asks, as we approach Lance."About twenty minutes," he responds.Jedd and Tisha arrived just before us. I take a deep breath and help Lance pull the rock door. I rush inside before Tisha can, so that it is me leading this time. We cautiously make our way forward. Our footsteps echo in the eerie silence. Knowing that Shirley and Cassidy were just taken through this tunnel has us all more anxious to secure them than before. It's like when something is right there at your fingertips, but you haven't b

After writing over thirty chapters, I felt good about the book I was creating. I struggle with Bipolar and OCD. I am a full-time student and stay-at-home mom. My children are homeschooling. I have a lot on my plate and probably shouldn't have added more. These past two years have been rough, and I have really struggled mentally. Of course, I haven't done well setting aside time to write... Everything has been incredibly overwhelming. I appreciate that people discovered my book and love it. I apologize that I haven't kept up with chapters well enough to keep y'all satisfied. The mean comments have turned this book into a burden that sometimes I feel like I will never get finished. But I am persevering, and for anyone still reading... thank you, and I truly am sorry. My family just made a big move from Indiana to Texas. Once we are settled, I have high hop
