JezebelJon is so tense. I get the impression that he is skeptical of me and it stings my heart. There is a lot that doesn't make sense though, so I cannot completely fault him for feeling the way he does. Thankfully he scoops me into his arms and holds me tight for awhile. I feel so content and at peace when he has me in his strong, protective arms. He eventually pulls away, but keeps my hands held in his. "Well..." he says, " I guess I should tell you how it went with Bill and Shirley.""You talked with them earlier today?" I ask."Yes," he confirms. "I went to the shop when I left here earlier. As I said before, I began to suspect while waiting for you the other night in the car, that the false prophecy might have something to do with Cassidy. I pondered ways I could avoid bringing it up, and figured I would probably have to just mindlink you and explain to you that then wasn't a good time to bring up the false prophecy. However, Shirley was so intent on hearing how we met that you
CassidyAfter discussing the ways we can work together to ensure the prophecy happens accordingly, I left the pack. I hadn't even thought about the distance between our pack and Silverhair pack. I had planned on walking, but Alpha Elijah said walking was a dumb idea. He gave me a bike to ride. I want to stay off the main roads, which is why I had planned a hike through the woods. This is also why Alpha Elijah provided me with a bike.A journey through the woods provides much scenery to observe and appreciate. The trees are full of luscious green leaves. Birds and insects chirp. The air is warm. Nature is so beautiful. I relish in the wondrous sights, allowing myself to forget for a few moments how drastically my life is about to change. I maintain a constant speed that is fast enough, so I will arrive before nightfall, but slow enough that I have some time to divulge in my last moments of freedom. I know what I am about to walk into. I have seen pieces of what my life with the Silverh
Theodore"Can I help you?" I growl as some pretty wolf I have never seen before finds her way in my office. She is breathing hard and her eyes grow wide as if she had not expected anyone to be in here. I hear voices pass by the door and realize she must have been sneaking around our headquarters and hid in here to avoid getting caught. Unfortunately for her, she sought refuge in the wrong room.""Who are you?" I ask curiously. Why is this beautiful young wolf standing here in front of me? Something about her has me mesmerized. She has shoulder length, wavy blonde hair. Her eyes are golden brown, with that doe-like innocence. Her lips are thick and pouty. I want to suck on them! She hasn't opened her mouth to speak yet. She looks terrified. Usually I would be highly suspicious of anyone just barging in my office, especially in the attempt to hide, but I am not threatened by her.She has taken several deep breaths trying to steady her racing heart without success. Her heart beats loudly,
CassidyFinding the Alpha was easier than I had thought it was going to be. I stumbled right into his office in an attempt to hide. He disgusts me. He is extremely attracted to me and doesn't try to hide his lust. He also has zero qualms about asserting his dominance over me. He is nothing like Alpha Elijah. Alpha Elijah is a fair and respectable Alpha. This Alpha...is a monster! I can't deny that I am terrified."The Gods wouldn't have sent you here to die," Arie says, attempting to reassure me."I'm not scared of death Arie," I admit angrily. "I'm scared of torture and abuse. This is a fucked up path we are on and I don't trust that the Gods will keep us 100% safe. They revealed what needs to be done and it is up to us to make shit happen and keep ourselves alive."Arie is quiet for a few minutes. The Alpha has been staring at me intently for awhile. It seems thoughts are spinning around in his head after I revealed to him that I am the prophecy wolf. An evil grin has been plastered
ElijahKevin and I arrive at a small house that is supposed to be where the boy lives. We knock on the door and a short woman with short brown hair opens the door. "Mrs. Henley?" I ask.She stares at me in shock. No doubt she knows who I am, being the Alpha and all. "Um....no....my name is Lori Crow," she responds nervously."My apologies," I say. "I might be at the wrong house. Do you know of a boy named Jon Henley?"Her face pales. "He is my boy," she blurts out. "Is he okay?""Yes...yes. As far as I know," I assure her. "I didn't mean to scare you. You're his mother?""Yes, he has his father's last name," she explains. "He and his family deny his existence but I don't think it is fair to label him a bastard when he DOES have a father," she huffs. This is all so odd. A wolf born outside of the mating process is rare. I can understand why she wouldn't want her son to bear the burden of carrying no name and being seen as a bastard though. Being a bastard is even more shameful than b
Jon"What happened that day, Jon?" Jezebel asks. I don't answer right a way. I have been temporarily transported back to the past. Events play in my mind like a movie reel. The last day I spent with my mom. Moving to headquarters. Training. My mom joining the Crescent Moon pack.... So much changed after that day!"Alpha Elijah told me that they wanted me to start training with the Gammas," I finally say. "My mom and I were poor, and it had always just been the two of us. I never imagined I would stand out to pack leaders and get offered the chance of a lifetime... the chance to leave our struggles behind. But I did. I felt like it was a dream and barely remember that last night at home with my mom. I remember we ate dinner and talked about everything, but I don't remember what she cooked. I remember the time seemed to fly by, and I couldn't sleep that night...." My voice trails off as I once again find myself lost in thought."Jon," Jezebel says, grabbing my attention. I snap out of i
CassidyAlpha Theodore believed my intentions after Alpha Elijah successfully intervened with the rogues he sent to Wolvesbane pack to capture my mother. They were sent back here in pieces which enraged Alpha Theodore and solidified in his mind that Paul was indeed a traitor. Not long after the incident pack leaders came together to discuss opening up the battlefields so packs could battle out disagreements without destroying pack lands. It was well known that the Silverhair pack and the Crescent Moon pack were foes. This was an opportunity for them to confront their issues and battle it out. However, the condition of losing meant your pack would be taken over by the winning Alpha. Both Alphas were confident in their pack's strength, but apparently not enough to wage war against each other. For several months after the battlefields were formed no battles were fought. Packs were instead focusing on defense so that they would be prepared if any wars were waged against their packs. For m
TishaBeing the daughter of the Alpha of Silverhair pack can be really lonely. I have many fake friends. Obviously, pack members do not wish to be on my father's bad side and therefore are overly nice to me. It is nauseating. I'd rather have no friends than foe friends. I have only ever had two true friends. One a prisoner of my father's and the other whom I pushed away. But I had to do it or she would have died. When I was ten years old, my father had me escort a beautiful wolf named Cassidy to a bedroom not far from where we, the Alpha family, have our sleeping quarters. I was livid at first and wanted to hate her. Everyone knows of his concubines and I figured she was another addition. My mother assumed so as well. I remember she was so anxious and scared that Cassidy was being treated differently because father said she was special. My mother was certain Cassidy would be the one to finally bear him a son. According to my mother my father desperately wanted a son to carry on his b
Cassius AKA Caz My twin brother and I just turned 22. As soon as we turned 19, Tristan found his mate, Trinity Henley, the alphas' daughter. I'm still waiting, but I'm not in a hurry. I like my solitude. I love to read and expand my knowledge. My brother is always teasing me about being a book nerd, but our moms love it. They get excited to buy me new books. I'll read anything, but my favorite books are full of mystery, action, and adventure. I love my moms, but they each have a favorite. I was named after our mother, Cassidy, and Tristan was named after our mother, Tisha. Tristan had his first vision when we were 16. Our mother Cassidy is a Prophecy Wolf, and the gift is passed to one child in each generation. Tristan is younger by two minutes. They bond over their gifts, and hence, he is her favorite. Our mother, Tisha, favors me. She calls us the normies. But I'm not a normie. Im just pretending. I see every vision Tristan sees, I just never go into a trance like state. I al
Jezebel Now that all the work is done, it's time for fun. We're celebrating all across the pack with tables of food set up on every corner. Cornhole tournaments. Euchre tournaments. Some of the guys have been playing basketball. There is a lot to enjoy, no matter which part of the pack you venture to. I can't recall a time in my life when I have ever experienced a celebration as magnificent as this! Even a lot of our allies are here. The packs can mingle again, and Uncle Jedd finally found his mate! Her husband died in battle six years ago. She came from the Redwood pack. We sent him to handle some pack business with our new ally, and she happened to be in the vicinity. Her name is Abigail. She moved in with Uncle Jedd right away. They got a bigger and nicer house. She brought her daughter, Evie. She is 22. And her son, Gavin, who is 14. Jon also gets to be reunited with his mom and his siblings. "Oh, she's gorgeous, hunny," Loretta says to Jon after he introduces me. "It's nice t
JezebelI drive as fast as I can toward the entrance of the pack. I can not believe the war has started."Jade?" Silence."Jade!" I cry out nervously, tears cascading down my cheeks. "Please, answer me."Silence."JADE!" I scream. And still... silence. The scream helped alleviate some of the frustration, but I'm still fucking terrified. I'm getting close to the gate. I can see the battle up ahead. I don't know what to do. There are so many wolves a few hundred yards in front of me. Jon is right. In my human form, I am weak. Jade is the real Alpha, not me. Without her, there is nothing I can do. "Jade! What about the vision? Jon does not fight this war alone, Jade. Where the fuck are you?" I growl. The silence is deafening. Maybe this isn't the only battle. Maybe this isn't our time. I decide it's probably best to just turn around and seek refuge with the rest of the innocents like Jon wanted. Before I can put the car in reverse, the passenger door swings open, and someone takes a sea
Spencer"What do you mean they escaped?" I growl.Three of my guards cower in fear before me. The block of cells they were guarding was attacked. Lights cut out. Injections of a sedative given. The fact that Marc and Hazel were discovered in the cell where my prophecy wolves were supposed to be tells me all I need to know. Bonnie and Clyde were plotting to steal one or both of them. The Gods only know where they planned to go because there aren't many options available to them. Going rogue is all they could have done. Stupid. Kids these days just don't have any fucking common sense. And where in the fuck did he get the sedatives? He tried a trick from my book. I bet the security cameras caught them in the act of some things. He must have stolen the sedatives from me. Heathen!"We failed you, Alpha. Punish us as you wish," a cracked voice whimpers, bringing me back to the guards. They all stand there with their heads hung low. They look so pathetic. "Because I need your permission fir
JezebelIt's been almost two weeks since Cassidy and Shirley returned home. Cassidy has been in a coma ever since. She passed out as soon as they stepped through the gates. Everyone is worried. Tisha and Shirley have hardly left her side. The rest of us have been busy. The war is near. We can all feel it in the air. After Marc and Hazel's betrayal and the Redwood pack losing their precious captives, we know we don't have much time. We don't know how much our enemy knows about our pack or the locations of Marc's tunnels. Jon comes up behind me and rubs my shoulders."Stop thinking so much," he lectures. "We have most of the tunnels caved in and traps in the others. It isn't going to be easy for them to get through. We're a fortress," he smirks proudly."It's happening," I reply seriously. "We might win, but it isn't a sure thing. I just wish Cassidy would wake up. Or that we were successful in finding that witch Shirley said helped them escape.""She is tied to the God's somehow. Shirl
Cassidy"I can't believe my mother refused to come with us. I doubt they are going to be very welcoming toward her once we are gone," a voice whispers."Now isn't the time to be crying for mommy. We can't fuck around. We have to be quick if we are going to make it out of here in time," another voice huffs quietly.I can see two silhouettes, but the room is dark, so I can't quite make out who they are, although I have an idea. "Give me the syringe if you aren't going to do anything but whine.""What crawled up your ass and died? You don't have to be such a bitch!" My eyes are adjusting, but I can't see well. Why in the hell is it so dark? "Which one is Cassidy?" One of the voices hisses."Hell, if I know. Great idea cutting the lights.""If I hadn't, then the guard wouldn't have been as easy to take out. Here."One hands something to the other. I hear a scratching sound and then smell sulfur as a match is lit. The match confirms my suspicion that the two intruders are Marc and Hazel
Cassidy"Who are you?" I yell through the bars of our cell door. The girl snickers but doesn't reply."Answer me! What did that dream mean? Why are you here? WHO ARE YOU?" I'm pissed. I don't like mind games."QUIET!" A guard shouts. "Otherwise, you can take a trip to the pit."I have no idea what the pit is, but judging by his sneer, I doubt I want to know. I climb to the top bunk and lie down, huffing. I miss Tisha so much right now. I'm sure she is so worried. I hope she's okay. Wolvesbane pack isn't where she came from, but it has to be where she belongs. I hope Jon and Jezebel recognize that. I hope she's safe. I roll over and face the wall so that my mother can't see the tears slipping down my cheeks. After a few minutes, I hear her get settled on the bottom bunk. Not long after, I drift off to sleep. I dream of the girl and the cup game again. Everything plays out the exact same way. I wake up gasping for breath after choking on the ball again. I sit up in bed and start to scr
JonJezebel and I rush to meet Lance at the other tunnel entrance discovered in the woods. Jedd and Tisha are on their way as well. Their tunnel didn't lead anywhere interesting. It forked off. Each fork led to different spots in the town. Someone had to have helped this kid! If not, he was highly determined and must have started working on them at like the age of ten to have dug as much as he did. My mind is seriously blown at his accomplishment. "How long since they went through?" Jezebel asks, as we approach Lance."About twenty minutes," he responds.Jedd and Tisha arrived just before us. I take a deep breath and help Lance pull the rock door. I rush inside before Tisha can, so that it is me leading this time. We cautiously make our way forward. Our footsteps echo in the eerie silence. Knowing that Shirley and Cassidy were just taken through this tunnel has us all more anxious to secure them than before. It's like when something is right there at your fingertips, but you haven't b
When I first discovered the app, I read books from it. I was intrigued by writing my own book, but I wasn't confident I could do it. After writing over thirty chapters, I felt good about the book I was creating. I struggle with Bipolar and OCD. I am a full-time student and stay-at-home mom. My children are homeschooling. I have a lot on my plate and probably shouldn't have added more. These past two years have been rough, and I have really struggled mentally. Of course, I haven't done well setting aside time to write... Everything has been incredibly overwhelming. I appreciate that people discovered my book and love it. I apologize that I haven't kept up with chapters well enough to keep y'all satisfied. The mean comments have turned this book into a burden that sometimes I feel like I will never get finished. But I am persevering, and for anyone still reading... thank you, and I truly am sorry. My family just made a big move from Indiana to Texas. Once we are settled, I have high hop
