Monkey Pulse Outbreak

The Next Morning 🌞 9:15 am:

King Darius strode to The Great Hall..

Their was a strong matter that needs his presence on it.

and he was been summoned by his Elders... The 12 Elders.

As he walk towards the direction the leads to the Great Hall with his Royal attire sweeping the floor.

Boston didn't fail to fall in steps with the king.

As the king's Personal Guard... He needs to be everywhere close to the king.

King Darius Walked pass A guard on different uniform.

it was no other person but Andrea... Sapphire's Personal Guard.

He bowed as king Darius and his Guard walked pass him without sparing him a glance.

He sighed before strengthening up... he's eye falls on the direction of Prince Louis chamber.

without any other words from his lips... he walked away.

THE GREAT HALL:

"His Imperial Majesty is Here!". One of the guards stationed at the door announced and silence befelled the hall as the huge door was thrown Ajar.

Darius walked in,,Boston followed behind as the elders rose from their seats and Bow humbly at his presence.

"Your Majesty!". They all chorus together with their head bow.

Darius nod simply as he climb the silver colored staircase to his Golden Throne.

Taking a seat, he said to them.

"You may all sit!".

And Quietly the 12 Elders took their seat.

Boston stood Gallantly beside King Darius throne . His sword bag wrapped securely at his waist.

His face as cold as a stone as he scan the Large room.

"I got your Message this Morning" Darius began with a sigh. " I hope whatever this message is isn't that Bad?". He mumbled as he scan each and everyone of them.

Their was silence after the king's word... but the Head of the Elders... Elder Albertsons, The Elder of Ravenswood village stood up and bowed repeatedly at the king before speaking up.

"Your Majesty...  We're sorry for the immediate summoning but I think we need your look into this matter... their is  currently an outbreak of Monkey pulse in the Ash Woods, And Elder Ruger lost his Grandson last night to the despicable disease".  Elder Albertsons said with a saddened expression which made the other Elders shook their heads in pity.

king Darius gaze shifted to the silent man siting beside Albertsons.. "My sincere apologies Ruger... May his gentle soul rest in peace"

"Amen". Ruger mumbled out hoarsely.

it's evident in his face how he's fighting back his tears.

Still, Darius shifted his gaze to Albertsons. "This is so sad... And when did this Monkey pulse outbreak came out cos it's no something that will kill so easily... it must have been lurking around Ashwood and no one knows about it".

"Exactly Your Highness!". Albertsons uttered. " News have it that they started noticing people with Monkey pulse sign  3 days ago and they were been tended to by the doctors... but...."

"It still kill Ruger's Grandson". Darius completed and hiss out loudly.

"Not only Ruger's Grandson... Some families members are loosing their lives Now cos of the outbreak of the disease ".

"What!". Darius uttered in shock and rose from his throne.

"DEATH???.... why is their death... "

"The doctors and Nurses are trying their best to do their job....

"Shut the crap ALBERTSONS!" Darius yelled in a rage and Albertsons snapped his lips shut... he's face facing the floor . "What the hell is wrong with you Damn stupid Elders.... why can't you just perform your duties right without bringing bad news to my ears". Darius yelled again and the Elders trembled...

Ruger who had been holding his tears let it all out.

"Look how careless you all are... now lives are being put in the line... when will it occur to you f**king old men that we have a Witch.... a Goddamn Powerful Witch in our village that can cure the people without thinking twice... When... WHEN!". Darius roared at them and their lips all dropped...

damn... they didn't think about it.

"Your Majesty...." Elder Albertsons wanted to talk but was interrupted again by the King

" Albertsons ". Darius called with a cold voice.

"Don't you Dare Talk when I'm Talking". Darius growled at him and the old man lips sealed quickly. "Seems like you want me to strip that Elder title from you and you Family".

Elder Albertsons staggered back and immediately fell on his knee in shock.

"Apologies My King... I sincerely Apologize... Forgive me My King". He whispered on his knees and the hall fell silent.

Darius breathed in rage as he shot daggers at the kneeling man who had his head bowed.

shifting his gaze to the other Elders who all shivered in their seats.

Taking in one last breath... he took his seat.

"Get up Albertsons ".

Elder Albertsons immediately did as the king said... he couldn't even look at the king cos he could feel how tensed the room is.

"So?". Darius uttered when he's cool is calmed. "You know what to do next Albertsons"

"Yes your Highness... I will summon on the Witch Ayanna Mahatma to the Ashwoods."

"Good". Darius mumbled and stood up again..." Today will be the first and last you all will bring a goddamn bad news to my ears."

"We're so sorry Your Majesty... it won't repeat itself ". the Elders apologise immediately 

"Elder Albertsons

Elder Orion " Darius called  Each one of them. "Do your Duties as the Elders of Lunaris... I hate carelessness... I will over look whatever that happened today... but when it repeats it's self, I swear in the gods name... I won't take it likely with you people ".  Darius said with tone of finality before matching down the staircase.

"My condolence to your Family Ruger and to the deceased" Darius said to silent Ruger before matching away... Boston followed behind.

immediately King Darius was Gone, Whispering from the Elders began.

Elder Orion: My sincere Apologies Ruger..

Elder Caspian: My sincere Apologies too... May his little soul rest in perfect peace.

Elder Thorne: Take heart Dear.

Elder Albertsons: in as much as this news is bad... but I can't bear the rage coming out from the king himself. we should have informed him earlier before the Queen put to bed.

Elder Ruger: I thought it's something the doctors and Nurses can handle... since it's just a Mere disease. I didn't know that I would loose my Grandson and villagers to it.

Elder Orion: Just take a rest Ruger... something's are bound to happen and when such ever happens please just relay to us before it gets out of hand just like this monkey pulse outbreak took souls"

Elder Albertsons:  please Ruger... don't let this happen Again. 

Ruger nod his head to their words.

"I promise not to be a Careless Elder anymore..."

"it's okay " The Elders all said to him and tapped him gently on his shoulder before dispersing one by one.

Leaving Elder Ruger to grieve for the moment!
