It was almost serendipitous that Penny had been there earlier, and he was quite prepared to deal with his mother and his younger sisters. When he found them walking through the hallways headed towards his private apartments, they were already walking and talking in hushed whispers. However, the hallways were designed to almost echo everything that way. People could talk through the long distances between areas in the hallway. He heard every word that they were saying. They weren't really being rolled out quiet even though they thought they were talking in hushed tones.
“He supposedly has some kind of woman here. He won’t tell us about her unless it was beyond serious.” His younger sister said to their mother. “So, we really shouldn't push the matter right now. I mean, any woman right now would be a good idea for him to have at least that's a push in the right direction

Well after the two people went to bed after they watched TV and had a nice dinner together. Benton had started to bring up a few of the issues that he had dealt with that day with his sisters and also coming up with a plan to deal with anything else that was going to arise between because of them along with Kelly because it would affect her as well. They had decided that they were just pushing it off to the side for right now and try and have a good night instead of thinking about either one of their families. Benton took a few minutes to calm her down. It had taken a little while, but she had managed to find a spot on his chest where she concentrated on the sound of his heartbeat. That was when she realized that she had no idea what he did during the day when he was in the lab. She knew that he was probably extremely intelligent just by the way that he spoke and the schooling that he probably received. However, he knew that this was going to be the time that they were going to be able to at least try and figure out what the police knew. They really had not kept in contact with them too much unless they had a specific question which was usually a yes or no question. It had been three months since they got married, and now it was time for Benton's birthday. He was turning 34, and he knew at that time that a few months ago, he would have never really put any stock into how old he was. Now he realized that he was ten years older than his wife.
