Door# 176 "Poisonous Words"

Kloper walked passed the gates of the cemetery. Blanket of marble tombstone welcomed him, lining up like sea of dead.

The cold wind blew bitterly, causing the leaves to flap as if they were bat wings. He stopped for a moment, then looked above. Overhead, clouds blotted out the distant moon from time to time, casting the centuries old cemetery into an inky blackness.

He took deep sigh the continued his pace, passing through the space between the tombstones like how dense fog makes it way through the gravel path, settling onto the contours.

The cemetery is large with different sections. But everywhere he turned his head, silence prevailed, yet not so silent that no noise at all spoke to his ever unsteady nerve.

The wind whisked, rattling the flower in the basket that he’s holding.

“I didn’t know what is his favorite flower,” Kloper murmured while walking and checking each of the names in the graves he passed through.
