Alpha Brendon's parents were the previous leaders of the pack. I didn't recognize them when I first walked into the room. But, they were so similar to Brendon that I knew it was them.

Yvette, his mother was the main reason Brendon's hair was so curly and long. I could tell because her hair was what he inheritted. Her hair was georgeous even in her old age. Her curls were strong hold. They were wild. "Oh my child~!" She spoke with a french acent. Because, rumor had it she came from france. His parents met when his father went overseas to study. I studied names and languages in college. Her name meant archer. She was as strong as her name came to be.

Then there was his father, Diego. "I heard there's been some trouble going on in the pack since I retired to help your sister look for her mate." His father had a hispanic mother which is where his name came from. I only know these things because Romona was a shameful gossip. She liked to justify

Halfway down the hall and we were stopped. Fang had waited patiently down the hall after we left the office. He looked at me like he wanted to discuss something. I looked at Nena."Give us a sec?" I asked her as I left her side to follow Fang down the hall and away from her ear-shot. Fang took my arm as he pushed me up against the wall and moved into my full sight. He cleared his throat as he looked me in the eyes."What happened to you?" He asked as he looked at my stomach and was obviously hurt by something. "Was she the cause?" He asked in anger as he touched my stomach. I wanted to flinch at his touch. But in his eyes I only felt safe as I looked into them. So I let him touch me."It's a long story, Alpha Fang." I wanted to catch him up. But he's got a long journey to take to the west neighboring pack."I can't leave without hearing it," he muttered. "It'll give me a reason to come back faster."

I went back home. Where the manor was found empty. It felt big for the first time to me. Big and lonely. Because everyone was gone. All my brothers. My sister, busy at the pack house. My mother was here- but asleep. And, my father. Blessed as he was- found more solitude in the pack borders then he ever felt at home.I decided I would spend the day packing up my room. I felt desperate for something to do.I took Brendon's mustang home because I didn't have my own car. I figured he wouldn't mind letting me borrow it. Plus, I really wanted to drive it.I found my room a little messy from where someone clealy looked through it. Probably to see if there were any clues of my kidnapper. But I wasn't kidnapped here. I was kidnapped in the woods. I smelled the air and a faint scent of Malakai was in the room. From where he had been in near last of their other scents. I also smelled someth

'Niall!" Arwen's alerting howl echoed through my very soul. No fucking way! No! No way he's actually here. My heart was pounding through my chest. The foot work in the room further down the hall was key to letting me know. She was right. He's here. Of course she was right. She hardly ever lied to me. Plus my ears do not deceive me. I kept a light footing as I reached the doorway. I wanted to catch him because if I did... He would have no choice but to confront me. I found her pointing like a dog as her nose was locked on his door. 'Good girl, Arwen.' 'Let's eat this betrayer.' 'Not yet. He's our brother.' 'What? Squirrel Shit. He's on Lamia's side. As far as all things are considered... Let's kill the betrayer and bring his heart to Brendon. He will love it so much and we will give him babies~' 'Please shut up.' I kicked th

'Long ago, Calix's great great great grand father's father was an alpha of pack The Night Hunters. His name was Fang. The pack's southern boarder use to be empty to vast unknown land. Never changing. The real threat at the time was to the north, where their rival pack Scarlet Moon resided. They were a much stronger- larger pack. Fang was worried daily he might be overthrown by the northern pack's alpha. Fang was only eighteen. He lost his parents due to the previous winter's cold season. An outbreak of disease spread through the pack and they didn't survive. It was a witch's curse.-To the west, Blacktail Growlers were a fierce pack of shifters. They were known to growl rather then to howl. Because they rather stay alone then join hands with anyone. And, to the east Everfur Howlers were strong hunters. They were a journey to take. But delightful people when around. They were the peace between the four packs. Because, the pack was strong and untouchable. Thieves at charisma.-

"So, who are you?" I asked. I had been speaking to this woman but I didn't know who she was. All I know is I've been on my own, long enough. Marquis dropped me off here after I passed out. When I woke up I was escorted from a lavish apartment sized bedroom to a formal parlor room. Decorated with antique Victorian style furnature and nick-nacks. The painting and marked plaque explaining it was Lamia and Eder hung over a fireplace. I didn't understand why that was here of all places. Did something happen when I was asleep? Did they kill Marquis and bring me here? This lady wasn't Lamia. She was quite the opposite. Short and plump with curves. She was motherly age and in appearance. I didn't recognize her at all. I knew though she was a werewolf. Her sweet scent of sunflowers and ferns flowed naturally in the room. By the smell of earl gray, she drunk it often in this very room. She had the scent of wolf but not from the pack. Since I couldn't remember all the scents of the bor

The journey to Lamia's territory was long when coming from west turf. I ran fast behind Fang's guidance. We took a short cut through shadows. It was hard to explain it but our spirits were running on the other side. We left our bodies behind to take this journey. The scent of blood and death was strong when we hit the boarders. We slipped past mangled rogues that were protecting the town. The rogues were spread out strategically in the forest. They didn't see us coming. They didn't detect us here. I could smell the town wasn't far off. The sun was setting and making the lights of the town come to life. Visible in the tree line. I could tell the town was massive. It was a secret spot away from the rest of the world. Getting closer, I could tell we entered a clear line. A witches' spell to hide the town. If you weren't familiar with a supernatural or one yourself... it would be impossible to cross it. I studied spells away at college. An extra club, more like it. To an untrained eye,

I'm going to have nothing when this is all over.If it's not going to be from Lamia tearing my pack apart and my family to pieces...It will be because my own family will turn on each other with knives in throats.Niall wants to protect the family but he doesn't understand how much damage he's actually done to it. My father must feel something fierce towards Niall. Betrayal? Of course. I don't know who will kill him first, but the whole family is out to kill him now. Cal's death will not be forgotten by me. I will confront Niall with it when I see him again. I will ask him why... why did he choose Lamia over his own pack and blood?I didn't even want to come home this season. Because I thought this life was dull and meaningless. I hate who I am and what I am. I hate this whole damn system. I hate my family. I hate how Vivienne still clings to them with those hopeful eyes that we can all be normal. I wanted her to wake up. Ask me to run away with her. I wo

Vivienne's POV:"As we lay this wolf to rest, let his spirit be set free to run with Luna. May he find happiness in the great beyond."Alpha Brendon's words spoke over our silence. The funeral was being held at the pack house. With Brendon leading us like a pastor. He was standing on a podium. Brendon was in front of us all, face forward. We were in the ball room. Which is a room we host formal gathering in. My brother Innath's funeral was being held to honor his attempt to get information to us. It's believed he would have warned us about Lamia and explained how Emmett joined sides with Lamia. Thankfully I was already on a journey spiritually and got the information to Brendon. The full moon is tomorrow night and we will run in honor of his (and Donovan's) death.Tomorrow we will hold Donovan's funeral. The lingering emotions of his death left the pack uneasy. They were in shame of themselves for believing such a great man could be accused of trea

Brendon's POV: I took the trailsinto the forst to the boarders of Lamia's territory. My only thoughts focused on saving Vivienne. She's my whole world now. There's nothing I want better then to find her alive still and save the day. I want to kiss her over and over and tell her I love her to the moon and back. Because, that's how far I'd go for her. I would go there all nine lives and come back to see her beautiful face. And our future children. And their future children. 'I'm coming, Vivienne... I'm coming. Just wait a little longer.'I knew she couldn't hear me but I decided to talk to myself. To keep from the thoughts of loosing Steele to talk to. I would have kept marching forward but the forest seemed to move in front of me before I could reach the borders. I instantly caught a glimpse of wolves in the distance. I hid quickly under the shelter of a heavy brush. I decided to keep quiet if I was going

Vivienne's POV: "What happened?" The words flung out of my lips as I couldn't think of what else to ask. "What happened to my pack when they got here?" I balled my first. I was angry. There was no sense in her killing them. "I know you didn't kill all of them." She clearly took the survivors away someplace. The woman I once thought that I could never compare to and still agree with... sat down in front of the window in a red velvet chair. She crossed her arms and pushed her black cloack over her knees and smoothed the cloth. Her posture was well defined where she sat. Lamia's stileto signature heels pointed like fangs into the hardwood floors and created a puncture. I held a gaze with her but my eyes couldn't help spot the bloodstair hiding in the crook of her red lipstick smirk. "This reminds me of the first time I saw you," she said as she looked to the floor. "but, you're not waking up from being overdosed. You're here under new circumstances. You can at least say hello. Are we no

Cole's POV: The warehouse. As Andrew once was held captive in and can now describe to me. It was a humid building. With wire cages no bigger then four by four and stacked on top of one another. It was huge inside. And, a storage for what my brother Niall and Lamia had been working on these past few years. It was a savage hell hole to look at. Because the cages were small and hardly any room to move in. This building was used for storage. And, this was an obvious building for werewolf trafficing. Apparently... Places like the Lycanthrope wasn't rare. And, there was many other reasons for wanting your own wolf-trasforming pet. Sometimes people that went into the warehouse... never came back out. And, my pack was forced in there when Lamia raided my pack's territory. As much as my brother's warning for me to leave stuck in my head.... I couldn't shake the feeling I needed to find my twin.Nena was in trouble. And, she needed me bad. It didn't take

Vivienne's POV: "Do not worry... princess." Aaragorn looked from me to his pack mates and nodded in their way. "My pack has orders to follow behind yours. If they do not succeed in stopping your pack..." He reached out and smeared away a tear running down my cheek. "We'll hurry and try to convince them to st-" "We can't stop them! They're too far gone, Aaragorn. Don't you see? They're acting on their own. They're going to do it and I need your pack to just fight amongst mine." He wrinkled up his nose. The nice expression he had now fading. "WE are cowards," I muttered. "I don't think either of us should be leaders." Aaragorn smacked me against my face. The impact leaving a sting on my skin. I whimpered from surprise. My fingers touching my sore cheek. It was already beginning to swell. "I am not a coward." He was begining to growl. "I'm a fucking alpha. My pack is going to save yours in this bloody fucking mess... and when we do. You'll BE my luna. Because of how much you'll be in

Continuing Brendon's POV: A monitor's noise started up as it was forced on. And, the familiar sounds of a heart monitor hit my ears. It was familiar- from when I heard Vivienne's moving. Or, Innath's. I felt a force of air push into my lungs and I opened my eyes. I was stuck under a white sheet. My body was numb. I couldn't move it just yet. What happened to me? Where am I? Where's Vivienne? "VIVIENNE?" I yelled and heard my voice echo through the empty room. I smelled the air and remembered where I was. Why am I still in Blacktail Growler's territory?? And, where is everyone? Why isn't Vivienne next to me? I sat up quickly and yanked the sheet off of me. I ran my hand over my chest as I felt for any wounds. I was healed. I was fine. I am breathing. My feet hit the floor as I moved too fast. I yanked off the monitors and the IV piercing my skin. I spun around the room before walking towards the door. I pushed through and looked down the hall.

Continuing Brendon's POV:We followed Mateo through the woods until he came across the scent markers for Everfur's territory. Once he crossed the borders he met with a few of their wolves guarding nearby. They escorted him to the pack's town hall. This is where Everfur's pack held meetings. Their pack territory- to my knowledge wasn't centered through a pack house but a town hall. The pack house was non-existent to them. Instead, they worked more as a town. And, their alpha like a mayor. Alpha Rivera was a kind woman when I did get the chance to meet her. She's lucky to have my sister as her luna.It seemed like most of Everfur's pack members were already arrived at the pack's town hall. They were already gathering for a meeting. Mateo shifted into his human form in an alley and changed with the ones he was being escorted by. They had extra clothes hidden in a trash bin. There wasn't any trash of course inside the bin."That's again," he said to accompanying wol

Brendon's POV:"In order for your nine lives to be granted I first require you go see Fang. His blessing will be the only reason I will grant you these extra lives.""Why does his opinion matter?""He'll first want to speak to you. You also remind me a lot of him. It's like the past will repeat itself if I grant you these lives. I want to be positive the past will not become the present. Once you speak with Fang and still feel strong about your decision on these nine lives... I will give them to you to do as you please.""I assure you Luna... I will not be repeating past mistakes."...My snout followed Fang's familiar scent. Luna's forest was absence of light the farther I ran from her. It was like the world itself here was nothing... without her. I ran as fast as I could. My emotions becoming heavy as I wondered... what if I don't make it to Vivienne in enough time? What if she dies and I have to live nine lives... without her? All because I'm taking too long to find Fang! I stopp

Continuing Niall's POV:"M-Meynard!" Lamia's voice chocked out. Her body started to fall towards the fire but I caught her in enough time. I gently lowered her to the floor. My eyes glanced into hers as I remembered... even if this woman is a bloodsucking monster... I still loved her. I grasped her hand as I yanked out the knife from her back. What have I done? I threw the knife away from us."Lamia," I whispered gently. It was interrupted as the door came off its hinges. Meynard had kicked it down. He glared in at me as his arm started to morph. His skin reshaped into a strong blade of a scythe. It was horrifying to see once again. My teeth clenched. I'm not like vampires... if he chops my limbs off I will die. I have to be careful. He doesn't have emotions. He only knows to protect Lamia without hesitation."What have you done?" He asked. His eyes held confusion. Since Lamia told him once before he couldn't kill me. He was hesitating to make sure he woul
