Chapter 133

Brian was in the bathroom at Sam and Elliott's when Morgan burst in the door. Her makeup smeared down her cheeks, she blew her nose and sat at the table. "You didn't make this for me, did you?" She asked about Brian's plate.

Sam and Elliott both shook their heads. "How was dinner?" Sam asked, pushing her hair off her face.

"Horrid. I wish I'd never gone."

"Why? What happened?"

"First, he was fifteen minutes late and I was furious and irritated, then he manhandled me, wouldn't let me leave, and made me apologize for being upset with him before he would tell me the three options he has for your work," Morgan said, her lips trembled and tears made new tracks down her cheeks.

"I don't think you need to expand to another gallery enough to work with a man like that, Sam. No way," Elliott said as he crossed his arms across his chest.

"I agree but I'd like to hear about other options I may have."

"Morgan." Brian said from the hall.

"Brian. What are you doing here?"

"Looking for you.
