SAMANTHA
“Sam, you got a package,” Flor called her out from the cahier. She is in the kitchen and currently decorating a few cupcakes, putting frosting and sorts.
“Package? What package? I didn’t order anything,” she answered trying to remember if she somewhat purchased anything online.
“It’s like some kind of a document.”
“Just keep it in there for now. I will just finish these remaining cupcakes. I’m almost done here.”
“Okay.”

SAMANTHA “So, are you prepared to tell me everything?”, asked Kylie. They went in a karaoke bar so they have this whole karaoke room all to themselves. They ordered a lot. Fried chicken, fries, tacos and even potato chips paired with a pitcher of iced tea. This will be a really long discussion, Samantha thought to herself. “Order beer first. Or anything that has alcohol.” “Uh-oh. No, sweetheart. I’m driving.” “You are, but I’m not. Besides, I don’t think I can tell you everything without the help of alcohol,” she explained.
CHAPTER XVII CLYDE Clyde focused his attention on the road. After he got a call from Kylie, he rushed his way to the hotel’s elevator all the way down to the executive’s parking area. He took a glanced at his wrsit watch. Five fucking thirty. How the hell are you drunk in this Monday afternoon, Samntha?! It’s a good thing that the karaoke bar they decided to go is on along the way to her house. It took him around twenty minutes before he reached his destination and parked his car near the entrance. He went in and looked for the room number Kylie mentioned during her call. Who would pick a room located at the farthest side of a karaoke house? When he was about ten ft. away form the last room, Kylie emerged from the door. She saw him nd
CHAPTER XVIII CLYDE Clyde never felt as exhausted as like this before. Some days he got tired, alright. But not like this. Yet, he’s okay. He feels hapy and contented for the first time in his life. After he left Samantha’s bedroom, he went down to check his son. Rosa was waiting for him before she bid her goodbye and went home. He called in his house and asked one of the maids to bring him everything he needs. Suits, clothes, shoes and all that sorts. They were watching the tv when the doorbell rang. He smiled, his staff are the best. They made it in less than 30 minutes. “Just give me a sec, buddy,” he said and his son looked at him and noded. He stood and walk straight to the door. He saw, Thomas, one of his drivers standing in front of the gate. He gestured him to open the gate. Two of her houskeepers, Mercy and Anna got out of the car holding suit bags. He saw Thomas opening the trunk to get boxes of what seems to be his shoes. They all entered
CHAPTER XIX SAMANTHA What. The. Fuck! Samantha woke up with a headache. She remembered going out with Kylie, telling her the tale of what happened between her and Clyde that night she conceived Tam. She remembered getting drunk, getting picked up by Clyde and getting home, although the in betweens are still a little bit blurred in hhher memory. Now this. This is what greeted her other than the fact that she might have the side effects of drinking more than half a dozen of buckets of beer. “Clyde!”, she screamed and she heard some rustlings inside. Good. The devil woke up in an instant. “Babe? Where are you?”, she heard him called out and waited for him to find her in her walk-in closet. He showed up not minutes later looking all confused and delicious- What the fuck, Samantha! Focus! “Baby. What’s going on? Are you okay?” “Please explain to me what the fuck am I seei
CHAPTER XX CLYDE He woke up finding that Samantha woke up before him. Clyde took his phone on top of the side bed drawer 8:30 am. What the heck? He never woke up past seven before. Hell, he can’t even remember the last time he woke up that late. Being a businessman means you need to wake up early before the sun even goes up. He immediately went into the bathroom to do his thing and brush his teeth. He washed his face and looked himself in the mirror. When he was satisified, he exited the bathroom and went downstairs. It’s suspiciously quiet. “Babe?”, he called out when he reached the bottom. No answer. “Samantha? Samuel?”, he called out again. Nothing. He started walking, searching. No one is in the living room where he usually see his son playing. He went straight to the kitchen. Maybe they’re having breakfast, right? But no sign in the kitchen as well. Clyde started to get worried. He ran for the stairs and headed straight to his son bedroom only to
CHAPTER XXI SAMANTHA Damn it, Samantha! Relax! You’ll gonna be fine! Samantha could not even remember how many times she told that to herself since she started getting ready until now that Clyde is already driving. It’s just a birthday party! Nothing could go wrong, right? “How far is the venue again?” she asked. “The venue is in my parents’ house. Almost 45mins.” “Wait. Your parents’ house? Does that means your mom and dad are gonna be there?!” she asked, somehow regretting she even agreed to this. “Yes. And my youngest sister,” he answered still focused on driving. “You did NOT tell me about that!” He gave her a glimpse. “Does it matter?” “Does it matter?! Of course it matters! I am about to meet your entire family!” she exclaimed. “And?” Yes, Samantha. And? “I mean, you could have told me before hand.” He smiled. “It’s fine, babe. They’re nice people.” “Oh yeah? So what happened to you?” He gave her a short laugh, “hey! That’s not fair! I’m nice, too, right buddy?” an
SAMANTHA “Why aren’t you drinking?” “Are you kidding me? It’s a children’s party,” Samantha responded. “I know. But that doesn’t mean you can’t have a shot. Have fun and enjoy,” said Kylie.&nbs
SAMANTHA Samantha slowly lifts her head, mentally denying that her greatest fear had caught up with her. Silently praying that the ground will suddenly open and swallow her whole, with her son. She lifts her head only to be caught by the bluest eyes she’d ever seen. It was like those eyes are trying to ask her something and accusing her at the same time.Something that was far more different from the last time those eyes landed on hers. “You know him, mom?”, her thoughts were interrupted by her son’s voice. She was about to answer him when the host of the party talked and asked everyone to gather around the birthday girl and sing Happy Birthday. Samantha grabs her son and took the chance to escape as they got swamped with the crowd and went for the exit, almost running without even bothering a glance back. “Are w

CLYDE Clyde decided to go straight to his parents’ house after getting a call from his mother. His mom started nagging him about this and that so in order for her to stop, he agreed to go back home before heading to his office to work. He can’t help but smile while shaking his head thinking about his mother. She’s a typical housewife growing up. Since their father was busy with making millions with his own construction company, their mom was a stay at home wife looking after them. He has one older brother and one younger sister. His older brother Rafael, who is now happily married with a four-year-old daughter and another baby on the way, is the one who took over the family business after his father retired. His younger sister, Maxine, is pursuing her own dream of being a su
SAMANTHA As Samantha enters the shop, she saw Flor, the café’s manager slash cashier slash her friend. She was eyeing her with that malicious look. She passed another staff cleaning the area of tables and chairs. Her café can accommodate 50pax at the same time at most. She’s quite proud of what her shop had become. She started with three tables, 12 chairs, 2 staff and 1 baker roughly around three years ago. Now, her staff alone, she has two bakers, a store manager slash cashier, and three other staff for dine-in services. She walk her way through the kitchen up to her office. Her office table is located at the center of the room. There is a wooden rack where she hangs her kitchen coats and suit. She has two chairs on both side of the table in front of hers where guest can sit in case they needed t
