Eero's perspective
My feet moved on their own to take a step back from Claudius. This was him. This was the vicious Alpha that everyone was afraid of. This side of him was the reason why he was tagged as the “cruel Alpha”. Hurt. That emotion crossed in his eyes, but he had managed to shut it off, right before I could confirm it. “I know that look. Even before I became an Alpha, I had been familiar with it. It's fear. Panicking because you don't know how you will keep yourself safe from this monster standing in front of you.” I bit my lower lip. I would never deny or try to argue that he saw it wrong. “I never hated someone for looking at me that way, but I do now. You know that I’m not like a beast that everyone believes I am, Eero.” Claudius tried to come near me, to hold me. But my fear got the best of me and I flinched at his touch. He let go of me immediately. “Let me go! I would never do it again! I will apologiEero's PerspectiveTwo months laterEverything in Blood Moon Pack fell back to the way it was. We were peaceful at the moment and all the smaller packs around Claudius' territory feared him once again. It was only a matter of time, before he decided to attack Moon River Pack for their long-overdue debt that they must pay for.All the deltas and warriors that he was training in the past two months had gotten ready for great battles. Soon, Claudius and his best tropes would be back at conquering packs, expanding his land and territory.“Fuck!” I cursed under my breath after I saw one red line on the pregnancy test. I was still not pregnant, even when Claudius and I were doing all that we could to conceive.I walked out of the bathroom and the Alpha was up from his slumber. On the next eclipse, that was a month from now, we would finally hold our mating ceremony. We would officially become husband and wife, and me a Luna.&nbs
Eero’s perspective “The realm is for no men to rule.” No matter how hard I tried to forget about the words of the old woman, I couldn't seem to be able to. I sighed heavily. “What's with the long face, Luna Eero?” Cielo asked. I stopped musing. I nearly forgot that she was sitting in the passenger seat next to me. “Nothing. I just can't get my mind off something that I shouldn't be making a big deal in the first place.” “You can tell me what's bothering you,” she began. I glanced at the delta, who seemed to be minding his own business. “Claudius, you basically raised him, right? And he was from the realm? The Regulus pack…" I trailed. With those words, I didn't even bring about my questions. “Where are his parents? I know that they are not with us in Blood Moon. Why did you have to raise him by yourself?” I stared at her anxiously. “Is he an orphan? Do his parents not want him for some reason?” Cielo held my hand and that made me stop from talking. “I am sorry. I wa
Eero’s perspective Three hundred warriors and deltas stood behind us, waiting for Claudius' trained mage to break the barrier that hid the boarders of the Moon River Pack. I only had one thing in my mind: I came for Vera's head. This night wouldn't end with her still breathing. "I can feel your rage, Eero. My wolf is alerting me because of it," he said. "I would prefer it if you stay away from me, Claudius. Unlike you, I’m not very good at controlling my wolf yet." I didn't tear my eyes off the mage who was performing her spells. In the corner of my eyes, I saw him nodding his head. "I know, as you evolve into a powerful wolf gradually, there's a high chance that you'll slay everyone in sight if your wolf is taking over your body," he said. Alpha Claudius darted his eyes back at the mage and, stopped from talking. The invisible barriers lit up before it faded into a strong whirlwind, which knocked almost everyone out, except for me. I was just confused about what was happ
Eero’s perspectiveSoleil stood up as soon as she saw me walking towards her."Eero!" She choked on her tears, blood staining her clothes and hands."My Mama's dead. I-I don't know who killed her or how she ended up dead, but we found her lifeless body meters away from the Alpha's house," she said.Anxiety engulfed me. If Soleil's knew the truth, she would hate me."I-I’m sorry," I muttered, embracing her while I raked her hair."I should’ve gone to her sooner when the chaos broke out. It was my fault. I was late."I cupped her cheeks, and our eyes met. I lightly shook my head. "It's not your fault. It's mine."Soleil stilled. She instantly became hostile to my touches, and her reaction told me that telling her the truth would distance her from me."Your fault? What do you mean? Did you kill Mama?" She asked."N-No! It’s not me. I only meant that it was my fault that I failed to make you both safe." I couldn't believe it. I was lying to my best friend!"When you escaped, Mama and I kn
Eero’s perspectiveSerra was choking on her tears after the delta finally left her alone.“Luna Eero,” he greeted me after locking Serra’s cell, and then walked back to his post. I saw Serra lying on the filthy floor of the dungeon, covering her nakedness. My wolf felt satisfied. I had finally avenged my poor self. From where I was standing, I could see tears falling from her eyes.“I hoped you had finally learned your lesson,” I said to her.“Did you really think you’re punishing me and teaching me a lesson by asking the delta to rape me?” Serra asked.Serra chuckled. I couldn't fathom where she got the audacity to laugh at me.“Okay. You might have sated yourself with this punishment, but you’ve also proven that I am right.”I remained silent, waiting for her to continue.“You are not an angel, Eero. You are a monster, hiding underneath the cloak of your surfaced-level righteousness. But finally, you are showing your true self, a vicious and sly beast.”Insults! Vile insults!! Those
Eero’s perspective I could hear my heart beating as if it were placed next to my ears instead of in my chest. My fingertips touched the doorknob of the room where Soleil would spend the night. It opened before I turned the knob, which spooked me. “Luna Eero, are you here to check up on your friend?” Caspian asked. “What are you doing here?!” I asked, thinking that Caspian might have done something to Soleil. I grabbed him by his collar, pushing him against the wall. “What did you do to Soleil?” I growled at him. He held out his hand, gesturing me to calm down. “I didn't do anything to her, Luna. What do you take me for? A rapist?” Slowly, my fingers let go of his collar. He quickly fixes his shirt while I back away from him. “I-I’m sorry. I thought…" “It was Soleil who asked me to stay with her. She can't stop crying. Now she finally fell asleep.” I wanted to hear no more or of it. With a careful footstep, I made it inside of her room. “I’m so sorry, Soleil. It was an accid
Eero’s perspective I was leaving Meredith’s death and Serra behind as days passed by.Both Claudius and Caspian were busy training all the new deltas and warriors we got from Moon River. I, on the other hand, was busy with the preparation for Claudius’ and my mating ceremony. “Luna, are you still with us?” Cielo asked. She was even waving her hand near my face. I blinked a few times before focusing my eyes on her. “Luna, we were asking whether you'd like lilac or baby's breath in wrapped around the ceremonial arc.” The organizer repeated her question. She showed me the sample arcs on her iPad. “And what flowers are we going to use as centerpiece for the arc? And on the tables at the reception as well?” She added another question before I could grasp my head on the first one. “Uhm…" I glanced at Cielo. “Do you think you could be with this? I’m not really good with flowers. I don't know what works best with each other.” Cielo took the iPad from my hand. “I think baby's breath wo
Eero’s perspectiveThe next day after I got the music box from Cielo, I went to learn horse-riding with Caspian.“You are getting better at riding your horse, Luna.” Caspian offered me his hand before I jumped off the white horse that Claudius had gifted to me.I pulled the leather gloves off my hand and handed it to an omega on my way inside the pack house.“I should be. I’ve been doing this for months.” I stopped walking and turned to Caspian, “I just don’t get it why I have to learn horse-riding. When am I going to use this skill, huh?"It was Alpha Claudius that demanded I master the horse-riding skill, but I dared not to whine about it in front of him.A black sedan pulled over not far from where Caspian and I were standing.“Did you see that? We have cars here! We live in the modern world! Who would choose horses for their rides?” I was really upset with Claudius’ decision.“Luna, why don't you go ask Alpha about that?” Caspian asked back, which made me pout my lips.“Should I g
Eero's PerspectiveI didn't want to get up from the bed. The softness of the mattress was tempting me and on top of that, my eyelids felt heavy to open. My mind had already agreed that I'd stay in bed for another hour after I checked the time when I felt my stomach churning. It stopped me from my track, but chose to shrug it off until a squeaky feeling came over me and I couldn't find the urge to throw up.I run fast to the bathroom and vomit whatever is left in my stomach. After rinsing my mouth, I checked my reflection in the mirror."But I don't look sick." I checked my temperature too and I don't feel feverish."Did I eat something last night that could upset my stomach?" I whispered to myself. I opened the drawer to grab an ointment that I could use for my tummy when I saw an unopened box of tampons.I rushed out of the bathroom to grab my phone on the bedside table."I'm three weeks delayed with my period. My period n
ClaudiusSeeing that the tracker that I asked Caspian to chip on Octavio's skin after he was locked in the cell was moving towards the forest. I got up from my seat and prepared myself to come after him to get my pup back and bring Perseus to safety."I don't get it," Caspian said."This part of this forest where Octavio is heading to is a dead end," he hummed. I looked down at Caspian."What do you mean by it's a dead end?""Alpha, there is no escape route. Octavio knows the Regulus territory better than anyone. It's impossible that he isn't aware that when he run to do this forest, our deltas would easily corner him, and avoid being captured by our deltas. The only thing left to do is to jump from the cliff."My lips parted in shock."I know what that old hog is about to do," I said.Eero grabbed my arm to make me face her. "You do? What is it?"But how can I tell her Octavio's evil
Eero's PerspectiveWhenever Perseus sleeps with me. I would wake up to his tiny arms tightly wrapped around my waist while his face was buried in my arm. It's the muscle cramps and the numbing sensation that wakes me up earlier than usual, and so when I didn't feel him using my arm as his pillow, I instinctively called for his name before I could open my arm."Mate, shh. He's still sleeping," Claudius said in a low voice.I couldn't help but smile and silently giggle as I saw how Perseus had wrapped his arm around his father's upper body."He's hugging me so tightly that I could barely breathe, but I can't dare whine. I like feeling this little pup in my arm," he said to me.Perseus looks tiny in Claudius' arms, way more fragile looking compared to when he is in my arms."Don't move. I'll take a picture of you two," I said to him and slowly got up, moving carefully so the noise wouldn't wake up our son.Cla
Eero's PerspectiveCaspian and Miguel cleared their throat in a not-so-subtle way in an attempt to make me and Claudius break away from the hug that we were sharing."I think I caught a cold. I can't stop coughing," Caspian said again while he continued to force himself to cough. I chuckled and attempted to push Claudius away."They are hinting that we should stop flirting in front of them," I whispered to Claudius."I don't give a damn about them, Eero." "Why don't you two search for your fated mate or second chance mate so you won't be jealous anymore?" Claudius asked Caspian."Did you think that I'm not trying to do that? I'm desperately looking for my fate mate, dude, but maybe if you'd stop dragging my ass in different places then I'll be able to find her."Our eyes then gathered to look at Miguel, who was enjoying his toasted marshmallow. I'm in no rush to look for her. It's called fated mates, when the timing i
Eero's Perspective"I had to come here to tell you that dinner is waiting for us," Claudius said while his eyes sharply traced the newly-founded distance between me and Miguel."Oh, yes, because we don't have enough omegas around the realm which is why the Alpha picked us himself for dinner," Miguel whispered sarcastically."Were you trying to say something, Blackthorn?" Miguel grinned and shook his head."Did you hear me say something?" Claudius glared at Miguel even more."I was starving, I could eat a whole cow. I hope you prepared a feast for me, Claudius?" Miguel flashed a teasing smile at my mate."It's the least you could offer after I did the favor that you asked me years ago.""Every meal in the realm is considered a feast, but if you're craving for a particular dish that wasn't served at the buffet. You could request that from our private chef. They will accommodate any of your cravings.""Ah
Eero's PerspectiveI narrowed my eyes at Claudius and hit his chest. My mate laughed at me before he pulled me closer to his chest. He gently sniffed the scent of my hair and then I felt him kiss my forehead."Your legs are still shaking," he whispered laughing. I raised my hand to hit him again, but he skillfully caught it. His fingers caged my wrist and pinned it back on the bed, within a blink of an eye. Claudius was back on top of me. His manhood poking my thighs."Let me rest, will you, please? I missed you too. I miss making love to you, but I'll end up limping if we do it again. I'm sore down there.""Let me check," he said. Claudius moved fast down. My lips twitched in pain and the muscles in my face twisted."It's all red and swollen. Taking a cold bath will soothe you. Should I wash you? Or do you want to take a nap first?" He asked. The sun outside was slowly leaving the sky. In an hour, it'll be dinner time.&nb
Eero's PerspectiveClaudius smirked at me. I narrowed my eyes at him. He walks to get a bottle of his whiskey. Claudius drinks straight from it."This is why you're the perfect mate for me," he said suddenly."You were never afraid of me. You'd rather face my wrath than let me do things which you view immoral. Hurting a pup who won't be able to defend himself is wrong.""Wrong," I seconded."I don't know how long you'll be the Alpha of Regulus, but I don't want you to be remembered by the shifters as a cruel one."I walk towards my mate. I took the liquor from his hand and it slipped smoothly from his finger because Claudius allowed me to take it away.I cupped his cheeks and rested my forehead against his."The pack has a lot of enemies. I don't want our pack members and the Alpha allies to become our enemies because of your temper and ruthlessness, Claudius. Being the Alpha King may feel like you have abso
Eero's Perspective Perseus who was holding the hem of my blouse let go of it slowly. Fear thumped at my chest as confusion and hurt succumbed to him. "P-Pup, I can explain to you. I-I will explain to you. I-I didn't mean to lie to you." "Does Papa Miguel know that I'm not his?" He asked. Perseus looked and sounded like he was close to crying. "Your Papa Miguel knows that you're not his son." "And Grandpa Codrus? How about my grandparents from Papa Miguel's side? Do they know that I'm not their real grandchildren?" "Pup, does this really matter—""It does, Mama. I need to know if all of you were lying to me." "They know. Our closest family members know. Your Grandpa Codrus and I hide the truth from the rest of the pack members of Regulus and Blackthorn, but those whom we thought should know, they know the truth about your real identity." "T-Then do you plan to tell me that the shifter you introduced to me as my Uncle was my father?" Anger began to color my pup's eyes and I was
Eero's PerspectiveWhen I felt our kissing was getting more intense and knew that it would lead us naked on top of the bed. I had to stop Claudius by pulling my lips from him. My mate frowned. He was about to kiss me again, but I took a step backward to distance myself from him."Eero, you don't like my kisses anymore?" He said, almost pouting his lips.I cupped his cheeks and pecked on his swollen and reddish lips."You look just like your son when sulking," I said to him.
