23. What happened

DAMON

“Where is this place?” I asked Damon.

“This is where the priestess of the Shadow pack resides,” he answered.

We walked into the shrine. There were women and men both dressed in white standing on guard.

Their shrine was different from ours. I wonder why the priestess has to live here when she should stay close to the pack.

“What are we doing here?” I asked.

“To get answers,” he replied.

We kept walking down the long path until we reached a door. Two women dressed in white dress browned before us.

“Welcome Alpha Damon,” they said simultaneously.

“How is she feeling now?“ He asked.

They opened the door for him and we both stepped in.

“She’s feeling better now,” one of the ladies said.

While one waited outside at the other, the other followed us in.

A lady was lying down in a queen size bed and the moment she saw us, she got up from the bed but let out a little groaning sound which I’m guessing was due to pain.

“Alpha Damon,” she called, almost in a whisper.

“Do not force yourself,”
