Chapter 76: Losing Faith

The midmorning sun beat down upon Faith as they lay in lounge chairs along the sandy Atlantic shore. She wore sunglasses over closed eyes and tried not to move. She had downed half a bottle of aspirin and an equal amount of coffee already. It had been way too long of a night. Tracey joined them for the rest of the evening, dancing and drinking. She heard Selby turn the page of whatever thick volume he was reading, and she winced at even that slight noise.

"It's not fair," she groaned.
