Caleb wanted to talk more with Nazima but she had already left and he was feeling sleepy. Nadine looked at her general differently now, the Caleb she knew would have killed Victoria the moment she started annoying him.

She went closer to him and spoke. “The queen was not angry with you general, she told me she only said those things to get you to listen to me so that you may recover quickly.” Nadine wanted to put him at ease.

Caleb looked at Nadine, he wanted to see if she was telling the truth and when he saw her soft eyes he knew she was telling the him the truth. “Thank you, Nadine.” Nadine nodded then went to sit not far from him as Celeb drifted off to sleep.
