Axel’s Point of View

Lancelette was what most people pictured when they thought of a warrior with an ability to talk to the Moon Goddess. A priestess if you call it. Taller than normal she-wolf and perfect shoulders made to worship the Goddess. Her slightly muscled arms told a tale of strength and her scars of survival. Like all weres, she did not scar easily so the fact that she had any showed she had survived what few could. She has been alive longer than my father and yet her appearance never changed for she claimed she saw the Goddess herself. She was favored.

She wore a blank face, her eyes alert and her movements precise and minimal.

"Alphas." He bowed to the room and then turned to face my father. "How may I serve you."

"Lancelette." My father acknowledged.

"We need your ability to reveal the truth of someone."

There was a slight pause before she gave a firm nod. We all knew Lancelette used her gift.to judge someone whether they were good or bad. Though the Shadow's End pack

The bed was the softest I had slept in in recent memory. Which didn't say much as for the last two months I had been sleeping on a bed of leaves. She couldn't recall the last time she had slept this peacefully, covered in comforting warmth. Unfortunately, my mind only sharpened its awareness.Stretching my aching muscles, I opened my eyes to a pillow smacking my face. "What the..." I yelled only to be progressively struck by another. "Hey, stop that!" I demanded as I took the pillow away from my assailants.Sheila was giggling and Lisa was yippingI giggled back knowing I was safe and these two had probably looked after me. "Lisa, I’m glad you’re awake!" I told her, still giggling.“Yep. Thank you. Kayah’s Point of viewSheila returned to her usual self, shutting her mouth and humming to herself as if she’s in her own world.Lisa and I glance at her. “What do you think?” Lisa asked."We have to leave before the freaky thing that's about to happen here does."Lisa shook her head. "You just want to cut and run? How about helping them? Warning them at least.""Help them how?" I demanded as she rooted around for some food. "If indeed Sheila was the walking curse, how can we possibly stop an earthquake that's going to make this pack's lands into a sinkhole? Or whatever curse she brought? Do you think they will believe us if we tell them they're in danger, and it's all because they wanted to kill Sheila? I mean, you know as well as I do that packs believe they have a right to kill whoever isn't pack. You know, it isn’t my concern. I need to find Sabrina and give her back to the king before he’ll find me and kill me.”"How is it not your concern? You tag Sheila with us and people are

  • The Rogue's Little Mate   Chapter 57: Sometimes Goddesses are Bitch

Axel’s Point of ViewThe Moon goddess' otherworldly beauty and aura pierced through me as if I were nothing more substantial than a sieved piece of paper. Light clothed her, flowing around her in the semblance of a dress, declaring to all that she was something other, more so than the Myth Kind. For more than three centuries, she'd ignored the summons put to her, with the exception of Lancelette’s family, and even then she'd never shown up. Yet she had shown up for three homeless beings. I turned to see what my parents thought of it, but aside from Lancelette, I was alone in the field of white that had become our world. Lancelette’s eyes held such awe and reverence that I felt like I was intruding just because I witnessed it. I felt like there was something wrong with me since I failed to feel anything close. Then again Lencelette had grown up with the goddess' favour, not her unrelenting hatred that had lasted more than a millennium.I turned back to meet the goddess' eyes. Cold r

  • The Rogue's Little Mate   Chapter 58: Even Goddess has an Attitude

Axel’s Point of ViewThirty minutes later the alpha bloodlines present sat in grim silence as the reality of our situation nestled in our hearts. It was one thing to know the moon goddess detested us and another to experience it. Her feelings towards my mother and cousin, however, bordered on psychosis. I could see their trauma over their meetings written on their faces, in the shock that stuttered their recounting. Why would Goddess hate my mother? With Aldrich it was obvious he'd tried to kill Kayah and Sheila. Whereas my mother had not even met them."Why does she hate you, mum?" I was puzzled. When she turned to look at me, I wished I had kept my mouth shut. The pain riding the depths of her eyes pierced my heart so that I felt ashamed of my curiosity. When she smiled at me, it was even worse. A vulnerable, lost look replaced the composure that was her signature. "I don't know. She has always hated me."An awkward silence reigned for a bit. I wanted to look around for someone

  • The Rogue's Little Mate   Chapter 59: The monster on the move

Kayah’s Point of View“He’s our mate for Goddess Sake!” I scream at my wolf. I have been raging an internal battle between me and my seemingly getting stronger wolf.“He is! But he’s not meant for us. We already belonged to someone else! Return at once! You don’t have any idea what that Goddess is plotting over the werewolf race. You must listen to me! Kayah, you must listen to me! Don’t answer her-”“Shut up. I’ll talk to the Moon Goddess!”I shut my wolf deeper in my thoughts. How can she be so naive? We literally found our mate and we could have stopped pretending with someone else’s identity. Stupid wolf. The moon goddess had come to our call, and she looked at us like they were an answer to all her prayers. It made no sense that she'd look at us like that. Like they were beloved. Why would she love us?"My beloved children." She answered my thoughts.I darted a quick glance at Lisa who shrugged. He tried to appear casual, like the moon goddess claiming us was a run-of-the-mill

  • The Rogue's Little Mate   Chapter 60: Conversation

Kayah’s Point of viewI did not want to be homeless. I already ran away from Seven and I couldn’t return to my old pack. I had little trust for packs. To have to stay in one, even as the luna heir, was a hard pill to swallow. But I couldn't risk the lives of my two friends which I already considered family, that was going to take a bit of adjustment."What will happen to this pack if we leave?" I wasn't sure I wanted to stay. Axel scared me in ways she had yet to explore, for reasons I didn't want to explore. For all its radiant beauty, the moon goddess' smile leached all the warmth I had started to feel in my soul but I noticed there was unimaginable malice in the expression and vindictiveness devoid in her face. Her eyes stared dreamily into space as I noticed her daydreamed of some diabolic revenge. As if coming out of a trance, the Goddess blinked and looked at me, her smile became serene and loving, which I found more chilling than her vindictiveness. "Anyone you don't accept

Kayah’s Point of ViewAxel leaned forward, resting his forehead on mine, all the while holding my tearful gaze with his. The sparks ignited from where we touched, weakening every cell of mh body with the pleasure of it. Waiting was going to be hell, but her mate was worth it.Axel cupped my cheek, stroking his thumb against it in a soothing motion. My breath caught as I too felt those sparks that pronounced what we were to each other. "Making love between mates is the most amazing experience," he stated. "But I know you're not ready to even consider that so we'll forget about it for now.""And if I never get to the point of being ready?" I whispered. He trailed his fingers lightly down my arm. I shivered, my breath catching audibly before I let it out on a small squeal. "You feel that? That's the attraction of mates, some people say it's our souls sparking off each other as they try to form the mate bond. As long as that bond isn’t there, the drive to be together will get stronger."

Seven’s Point of ViewI was sitting, reading all the documents necessary for the entire kingdom. My men were conscious around me. I was never in a good mood since I learned everything about the mate/Sabrina that I married and crowned as the Queen. The Healer pack has murdered and burned even the bodies of the Alpha family and the pack members. The only thing left was the severed head of the real Sabrina. And according to the last surviving member of the said pack, the one pretending to be Sabrina was sent to kill me. I was beyond rage and when I searched for the fake Sabrina, she was already gone. I searched long and wide, even to visit her supposed to be my mate but she was not there. I couldn’t feel any trace of her, that's why I didn’t insist on looking for her. She’s a runaway omega, an enocha, a prize for Ferals. That’s why there was an increased amount of ferals in my domain. No, I don’t believe the fake Sabrina wanted to kill me because I found a liquid hidden under her pillo

“Oh, you’ve been a bad bad girl, Kayah,” Luis smirked and then he signaled the three men to show me what would happen if I disobeyed him again. My bruised body now slumped, shackled to a chair. After they caught me trying to escape, the trio of men beat me senseless and tossed me into this room to waste away. I could still feel the sting of Brian’s fist smashing into my cheek and the blow of Luis’ boot driving into my gut. Clumps of brown hair had been ripped from my aching scalp, Bob was responsible for that. These men, these tormentors, did far worse than just hurt me. They claimed it was to teach me obedience. To crush my spirit. And they nearly did.“What happened to fresh, not scratched and in a good condition, Boss?” Nate asked when he entered the room again. “She’s a wolf. She can heal,” Luis rolled his eyes. “You really hate this woman a lot?” Nate asked. “Not her but her damn mate,” Luis replied. “Is it also tied to her?” “Whatever their problems were, I’m out of it. The man with tousled brown hair and piercing forest-green eyes spoke from across the room. Though he didn’t raise his voice, his imposing presence made it feel like he was right beside me, shouting.“What did I say about talking back?” he growled, beginning to close the distance between us. Before he could get far, the second man extended an arm, halting him with a sharp, warning glance. He muttered something too quiet to catch, then slowly started toward me instead. His long black hair framed a pale, severe face, and his deep blue eyes locked onto mine with unsettling calm.“I suggest you listen to him, Kayah.” I winced hearing my name leave his lips. “You should understand something, we’ve planned this carefully. Your little help is gone, and no one will help you, let alone save you from your impending doom. No one’s coming for you. Which makes this very convenient for us. She told us that no one will care enough to look at you.”Now kneeling in front of me, he leaned in, grabbed m

As soon as the scream escaped my lips I knew that all hope was lost. “I heard her! This way!” With no other choice I stood up and ran out of the horrible room and I didn’t stop to look where I was going. I only looked up long enough to see the front door I had come through a foot away when strong and rough arms snatched my waist. I screamed once again as the arms took me away from my escape and hauled me to the room at the end of the hall. I fought and kicked with all my strength, grabbing and clawing whatever I could get my hands on. With each futile attempt the arms only grew tighter around me. A door was opened and I was shoved into the room I once heard the voices arguing from. With a gasp I took in the gruesome and horrifying scene in front of me.I landed head first after being thrown into the room. I gawked at the scene of terrors that lay in front of me. In front of me was a still and lifeless body. The last of the body's blood puddled around the girl as it leaked from the m

I woke up and felt everything was odd. The room was unusually quiet, so eerie.“Rache?” I called her name but no one was answering. Where the hell is she? I asked myself. I got up, made myself a coffee when I stopped my mug mid-air. Amidst the scent of coffee hitting my nose, I smell something but a scent. It was so strong that it actually overpowered the coffee’s scent. It was them. Damn it. “Rachel!” I screamed but no one answered. I didn't wait for her to answer. I grabbed my phone and ran through the door, looking for a fire exit. Even if the scent was still a mile away, I knew they would eventually catch up with me. So I better run and call Rachel when I think I’m safe. My lungs ached with the force I was putting on them. I never really ran. I wasn't out of shape, but I definitely wasn't athletic. Okay, I’m used to running, but not as urgent as this. I ran when I needed to chase a prey but not the other way around. The closer I drew to my destination the more I couldn't hel

Defeated, I started the journey back to our apartment. I knew she would show up eventually, just like every other time she left.Letting my mind wander, I turned the corners while walking back to our rented house. I passed street sign after street sign, worn down building after worn down building. The town was old and dusty to say the least. As I walked, I planned out what I would do for the rest of the day. The only thing that kept me going now was that I had to find my son and take him back with me. Time seemed to fly while I thought about the reason why I was away from my pack and to Seven, and after about twenty minutes of breathing in smoke and dirt-filled air, I arrived at the door to the apartment building. The apartment buildings we lived in strongly represented a motel and were the cheapest housing options around. I didn't particularly like it, but it was all we needed so no one would suspect me.Sighing, I walked up the concrete steps and opened the wooden door, only to rev

My pack has decided to end everything and take back what they used to own, their dignity, they castle. Seven his real reclaimed the name and that the Moon Goddess has crossed the line. “I know it’ll be dangerous, but this is for our son. I want him and neither would I give you to her,” I said when I’m done telling him Hailey was actually Lunar and that she tricked him. Seven was speechless when he heard it but it didn’t change the fact that she has our child. Seven took the alpha position and talked to the pack mate, the rogues who had been in the human settlement howl, ready to reclaim the throne and their home. “Are you sure about this Red?” I asked her to utter a spell, a spell that would prevent Lunar from tricking Seven again. Now that Red has become apparent, he told us he was actually ex-deity and used to side with Lunar back then. He admitted Lunar was delusional and told us about her tale, about her falling in love with Fenrir only to break her heart in the process. He

“Babe listen we-”“Kellan!’ I screamed.I searched the area. Nothing. No more scent trail. No sounds. Just that burning circle and silence.“Kellan!” I shouted again into the night. My voice echoed, bouncing back empty.I fell to my knees. My baby was gone. And not even the wind could tell me where.I pressed my hand to the grass where he’d been taken. It was still warm.My fingers tingle..Then, I heard something.A whisper. Soft. Like a breeze.“Kayah…”I looked up. The trees shifted slightly. Then it stopped.Six didn’t hear it. Only me.“Bitch,” I said and she just laughed. “You couldn’t have that’s you took me son?”No answer.I heard a chuckle like the bitch was amused. “You so Hailey,” Lunar said. “I don’t care about whatever image you took,” I said. “Seven and I had a history.”I swallowed hard. “Maybe it’s time for you to tell him about her.”“Shut up!” I screamed. “Ayah,” Six whispered. “Let's go back.”We returned to Maryan’s.Red was still breathing. With a moan I moved my long hair to the side, exposing my neck to my mate and pressed my bottom firmly against him. He didn’t keep me waiting. There was a loud roar of approval before his teeth sank deep into the spot where shoulder meets neck, and his cock penetrated my tight entrance.I cried out from the sharp pain and my arms gave out in front of me. Six didn’t loosen his bit on my neck as he followed me down to the bed. My legs would have given out too if it hadn’t been for his claws latching onto my hips and keeping me in place. I let out another scream of pain as he dug his teeth deeper into my skin, making sure that the Mark was deep enough to scar.I could feel the blood dripping down my neck and it was just as warm as my tears on my cheeks. The pain in that moment was great, so great that it drowned out any pleasure I had been feeling until I was shaking from pain. It felt like an eternity had passed until Six finally peeled his sharp fangs out of my skin. His rough warm ton
