“Earth to Alinta! You’re next in the queue,” Angela called out.

“Oh, sorry! Thanks, Ange,” Alinta replied as she snapped out of her thoughts and quickly shifted her attention to the cashier.

“Hey, don’t let that jerk scare you. He’s not going to ruin our holiday,” Angela said once Alinta finished paying for her items.

Alinta glanced at her phone and sighed. “We have twenty-five minutes left. What are we going to do now?” she asked reluctantly as she approached the exit.

Angela looked around, trying to see through Alinta's eyes. “I don’t see him anywhere. Where do we need to go for our bus?”

Alinta checked the name of the bus company. “It’s called Grey Hare.” She then stared at the long building with different entrances, each window displaying the corresponding company name, but she couldn’t see their bus brand.

"Guess we have no choice, but to leave the safety of the shop," Alinta sighed and quickly walked down the sidewalk, which felt like a long trek.

Alinta was so excited. She had just boarded the plane and found her seat. It had been an hour and a half since she ran from the silver-haired stranger, and Angela had been awfully quiet. This usually happened when Angela was genuinely pissed off.“Ange, are you angry with me?” Alinta asked, worried. She waited for a response, but there was none. Alinta felt regret wash over her as a pit of unease settled in her stomach. She never wanted to upset her best friend, but she had her reasons. It was just too absurd; no werewolf in history had ever had a second-chance mate. Why now? Why right before their birthday? Was it because Eddison finally rejected her? That would explain the timing, but still... he shouldn't exist. Did the Moon finally realise he had made a mistake, just like he had with the imperfect lesser deity?“Geez, your thoughts are so loud!” Angela giggled like a little girl.“Ange! Are you okay?” Alinta asked anxiously.“Yeah. Why do you sound so stressed?” Angela replied, co

Alinta eagerly gazed at the earth below her as the plane descended. The buildings grew larger as they got closer. "I can see the landing strip!" she exclaimed, animated like a young child. Angela, her wolf, was just as thrilled, experiencing the moment through Alinta’s eyes.Dacian let out a small chuckle and said, "Get yourself ready. Once the wheels make contact with the ground, it can be a bit intense for a first-timer.""Thanks," Alinta replied excitedly. "I can't wait to get off this plane and relax in a normal room," she sighed tiredly, fidgeting with her hands."Yeah, it was nice of Helen to book us a hotel close to the airport for the night," Angela hummed."That woman thought of everything. I don't know how I will pay her back," Alinta said with a sigh."We will find a way, don't you worry." Alinta nodded at her wolf's reassurance, her mind racing through possible solutions."Your wolf must be excited; you look so happy and lost in thought," Dacian said humorously, observing h

"Hmmm, I found you," hummed a deep and satisfied voice.Sounds of struggling for air filled the room as Alinta woke from a terrifying dream. Once her eyes opened, she fearfully looked around until she remembered where she was and quickly sat up."Damn, girl, you okay? I tried to wake you about ten minutes ago, but you were out like a light," Angela exclaimed."I'm okay. It was just a weird nightmare that I can't even remember," Alinta sighed in relief as she wiped her eyes. "Why did you want to wake me, though? Did something happen?""Yeah, there was a knock on the door, and I heard something being placed outside," Angela said while lazily scratching her ear with her hind leg."Always alert! It’s no wonder no one ever tried to break into our cottage," Alinta giggled. She quickly got up, tidied her appearance, and made her way to the door. As she carefully opened it, she saw that Angela was right—there was indeed something there. A beautifully crafted gift basket with a large red bow st

Alinta made her way to the elevator. As the doors closed, she glanced behind her and saw the man from the restaurant earlier. He looked like the living dead; his skin was grey with a purplish undertone, and his wide-open eyes stared intensely at her. Alinta felt a surge of fear at his presence, but when she noticed blood running from his nose, she asked, concerned, "Hey, are you okay, sir?"The man continued to gaze at her with a vehement look and took a step forward. "You are breathtaking," he said in a deranged whisper."You're bleeding from your nose; you need medical attention," Alinta replied, backing away slightly. The man kept his gaze fixed on her as if trying to bore holes through her with his eyes. Alinta turned her attention back to the elevator numbers, which had only reached the fifth floor."What colour is your wolf?" he asked, his breath strained."She is red, just like your entire chest and the floor covered in your blood. Please, let me take you to someone who can help

"Ange!" Alinta shouted as she saw her wolf lying on her side in the dirt, whimpering and her muscles twitching from pain. Alinta rushed to Angela's unresponsive body and pulled her head to her lap as she assessed her injuries, but there were none visible. Angela's stiffening body is not a good sign and Alinta became frightened.“Ange, please tell me what is wrong!” Alinta cried, panic gripping her heart. “Why couldn’t I sense you or feel your pain? What did that man do to you? Did you catch his disease when you bit him?” Tears streamed down her face as she cradled her large wolf, who seemed to quiet her whimpers. Yet, her breathing quickened, as if she were struggling to get oxygen. “Angela, please! What can I do to help?” Alinta screamed, dread overwhelming her. She wept while clinging to her wolf, softly stroking her silky coat and kissing her face."You are not leaving me!" Alinta looked to the sky and screamed, "I swear to the fucking Divinities, if I lose my only sanity and sister

Alinta looked back at the road where Leo had just left, observing the settling dust, then said, "I'll admit it was strange how he didn’t want to set foot near the Inn, but we are here now. Let’s make the most of it and be extra cautious.""Yeah," Angela sighed pessimistically.Alinta made her way to the Inn, a large cottage-style building with a medieval feel. The place felt dark, filled with dark wooden furniture and antique trinkets. Stuffed trophies of deer, bears, and wolves hung on the walls, making Alinta shiver in the eerie atmosphere."This place smells of dust and death. I don’t like it," Angela said with a low growl."I know, so let’s just stay alert," Alinta whispered as if fearing someone would hear her thoughts."Hello and welcome!" greeted an elderly woman at the reception desk."Hi, thank you," Alinta responded, startled."My name is Jennifer, the owner and host of the Bare Canyon Inn. **November 25, 2024, Present**Alinta and Angela spent the entire day in their cottage, discussing their plans. Angela asked, still uneasy about the whole idea."Come on! I’m finally the one not chickening out on something, and now you’re acting like this," Alinta pouted.Angela remained quiet for a moment before exclaiming, "What the fuck?""What’s wrong?" Alinta asked."Go make yourself comfortable and get over here," Angela said anxiously.Alinta lay down on the large soft quilted bed and closed her eyes, instinctively connecting with her wolf. As she approached Angela, she noticed her wolf sitting with her back turned, staring at something on the ground, her fur standing up along her spine."What is it, Ange?" The sky was clear, revealing every star, while the crimson moon, as red as blood, dominated the scene with an eerie presence. The purple crater reflected the moon's light, casting a deep darkened red hue over everything below. In the distance, a familiar shadow stood, observing and indulging in his obsession. The memory of the airport tormented his mind. He recalled seeing his possession looking at another man with wide, surprised eyes—a look he had seen before and found sickening. His emotions churned like bile as he focused on that moment. He had been ready to kill that man the instant Alinta ran into the stranger's arms. Fortunately, she had escaped him, but for some reason, a lingering urge to eliminate the silver-haired stranger remained in the back of his mind. He knew it couldn't be a fated match; that was impossible. The only logical explanation was that it had merely been a fleeting attraction when she saw him."Dacian reported how she waved at him when the plane was about to

Which linked multiple old and new cases to numerous she-wolves who had dissapeared. Additionally, they discovered several underground dungeons where women were brought in and kept before being auctioned off for entertainment in the extravagant parties hosted at the villa.Kyle had a long list of suspects connected to both trafficking and drug-related activities. It was a significant discovery, but it also meant more sleepless nights. Kyle did not mind, though; in fact, he and his wolf were anxious to find those missing women and put every foul bastard involved behind bars. Martha settled on a plea an

Bellinor had just left Alinta at the library, as he had important business to attend to. The woman made her way about the space, staring at all the books in awe. She tried to reach out to Angela, but still, she could not feel her wolf. She must be with Onyx; that’s probably why I can’t feel her, she sighed to herself, in dismay. It was the first time ever that Angela snapped at her like that and avoided her for so long. Alinta absentmindedly grabbed a large book while she thought over the conversation before Angela got angry, and it continued to deeply bother her. She sat down on the faint couch, staring seriously into nothingness, and then she quickly realised something. Could it be that Ange is still mourning over Silas and Orion? Though I thought she seemed to have adjusted quite well to Onyx and Bellinor. Angela only grieved for an instant when she told me that our second mate was gone, but she sounded more angry than sad then. Dammit! What sister am I?! I never visited my poor

"It was nothing important, now... where were we? Hmmm?" he asked with two fingers under her chin. Alinta blushed profusely; she gazed at him with loving eyes, further bettering his mood. "Enjoy your meal, my love," Bellinor said gently and kissed her once more before he sat at the other end of the table to receive his breakfast. The two ate in silence, but Bellinor did not dare take his eyes off his treasure. Her presence and the sight of her was an addiction to his eyes. He could never tire of looking at her. Bellinor worshipped everything about Alinta—her movements, her physique, her posture, and her striking emerald green eyes. Her swan-like neck, the shape of her face and her long eyelashes are all so captivating! Every aspect of her complemented each other in perfect harmony. To him, she was the perfect she-wolf, and his obsession with her continued to grow. Now and then, a whiff of her fragrance would drift past his nose, further making him run away with his thoughts as he cont

Draven rampaged through his forest, burning and obliterating every tree or obstacle in his path with his violent violet rays of light. He was filled with anger, anxiety, and restlessness. He understood Alinta's vision; it was no mere dream but a threat—a warning that Silas had somehow grown stronger.Draven struggled to identify the source of Silas' newfound power, which only fueled his frustrations further. He could only come up with three possibilities: first, the Moon had decided to descend to Earth; second, the Moon had sacrificed some of his life force to his celestial wolf; or third, Silas had absorbed the souls of werewolves, as he had done. None of these theories provided a sound conclusion. It most definitely could not be the first, for the stars foretold the union between God and werewolf, and it came to pass with Alinta’s mother thirty years ago. The Moon wouldn’t be foolish enough to consider the second method, for Silas was already half of him. Sacrificing more of his ene

His heart fluttered excitedly as he saw his sleeping beauty.“It has been a few days since you accepted us, my princess,” he murmured in somewhat of a trance. “I must confess, my patience is gradually withering away. How I hunger for you, my scarlet damsel. Though I may possess your luscious wolf, I am a greedy entity with a dire appetite.”Draven carefully sat beside his desire, becoming more enrapt by Alinta’s splendour. “I need to be compensated for my patience, no?′ His piercing wolf eyes leered over her body. “This will be just our little satisfying secret,” Draven whispered as he placed his hand on her head and gras

She aligned herself with his upright shaft in her firm grasp and carefully lowered herself readying for that fateful contact. "He's soon to be ours. *November 30, 2024**Alinta gasped awake, Bellinor grabbed at his chest and shook violently."Bellinor!" she exclaimed mutedly, as she saw him, he was pale as a ghost, and sweat dripped from his face. He groaned and grunted in utmost pain. "Bellinor? What's wrong? Please!" Alinta screamed voicelessly, as she sat up over him, desperately caressing his distorted face. He looked at her with his pale lilac eyes, but they were distant, and his mouth was open. Alinta recognised he was having a minor seizure, she pushed him to his side with all her strength so that he did not choke.A drop of blood ran from his nose down his cheek. Alinta's body froze from absolute terror for a few moments, as though scared if she moved she would hurt him further. Had his counterpart really discarded him just like that, after being together for seventy-six years? He snorted in absolute ridicule, unable to believe it had come to this.
