"Yes, I think the sooner, the better. When we return to my villa and I fuck you, you will enjoy it and accept me as your mate," Eddison laughed villainously, lightly grazing his human teeth against her skin and then teasingly nipping at her wrist. Alinta desperately tried to fight the drug with all her might, while Angela, completely feral, snarled and barked like a mad animal. She anxiously tried to reach Alinta and take control, but this strange poison would not allow it.

"It will be quick," he said, his eyes glowing an almost eerie yellow. His teeth elongated and sharpened as he carefully positioned her timid wrist between his jaws. Just as he was about to clamp down, Eddison hesitated, releasing her hand and letting it dangle at her side. He then lifted her head against his chest, tilting her face upwards to look at him. The poison had fully taken hold of Alinta, and Eddison revelled in seeing her so helpless in his arms.

"Perhaps I'm being a bit too hasty, aren't I? After all, marking is practically unheard of these days." Eddison tenderly brushed his thumb across her cheeks and lips, contemplating what he should do. Instead, he leaned in and kissed her. He carefully managed to force her mouth open and began to stroke her tongue with his. Alinta released incoherent sounds of protest through her nose, but Eddison was too much under a spell to take note. He became voracious and started to leave a trail of aggressive kisses down her neck while groping hard at her limp body. "By the Divinity, you are fucking delectable!" He breathed hungrily.

A deafening bang sounded, as the cottage front door burst open, causing Gareth to fly upon the impact. Eddison froze as his anger took over him. There at the door stood Bellinor with black eyes ready to slaughter whoever dared to oppose him.

"Bellinor, what an unpleasant surprise. Once again, you are rudely intruding on my personal affairs."

"Let her go, Dives, and abandon whatever it is you have planned," Bellinor warned sternly, making a strong effort to control Onyx.

"Please, I am in quite a pleasant mood, so do not ruin it. If you are concerned about her well-being, rest assured that I will take care of her; she is my fated mate after all," snarled Eddison, then licked the side of Alinta's face with his wolf tongue.

"That night when she found you, I witnessed how hostile you behaved towards her while entertaining your whores," Bellinor hissed bitterly.

Eddison focused his attention on Alinta and kissed her temple before speaking calmly. "I know I was a complete prick that night, but I had my reasons. I was furious when she discovered me. I didn't want her to see me like that, especially while I was caught up in the moment with three other women. I wanted to meet her when I was about to leave this shitty town and allow for our bond to be ignited on better grounds. It was meant to be my last fuck around before finding my mate. After our encounter, I have been only thinking of her as our bond has been driving me up the wall."

"You mean your bond. Alinta and Angela fully rejected you and your wolf. You should develop some sense and do the same, then you can continue to enjoy whoring around," Bellinor spat vehemently.

"You don't understand I tried, but still cannot force myself to do it. That night when she touched me, even now as I am feeling her in my hold, these gentle tingles vibrate my libido in ways I never could fathom. I can only imagine its potency once I mark this beautiful creature and fully claim her so that her side of the bond can reawaken once more." Eddison breathed with appetite, then kissed her neck.

Bellinor's face contorted, and his wolf snarled viciously, "Release her, you had your chance! Or I will be forced to take matters into my own hands and, in return, will tarnish your reputation."

"Gareth, could you take care of this old man for me, would you? My hands are full," Eddison said contemptuously as he began to lift Alinta into both his arms. Gareth nodded and started making his way toward Bellinor.

"Suit yourself," Bellinor replied, pulling out his phone. He tapped a button, and suddenly, policemen burst in from every entrance of the cottage.

Eddison was surrounded by multiple weapons aimed at him. "Put the woman down gently, then get on your knees with your hands behind your head," growled the commanding officer whilst semi-shifted. Gareth attempted to confront the officials to give Eddison a chance to escape, but he was quickly subdued by a tranquillizer dart and a taser.

Eddison roared, holding Alinta tightly against him. "What do you think you're doing? She is my fated mate! Do you have any idea who I am?"

"She rejected you, Eddison, you are here being arrested for sexual assault, attempted kidnapping and marking," said Bellinor calmly with a smug expression.

Eddison roared and began to shift, ready to bite Alinta’s shoulder. However, he was abruptly stopped when officials behind him tackled him to the ground. Bellinor rushed to Alinta, pulling her tightly into his arms and away from the chaos. He took out a handkerchief and gently wiped her mouth and tear-stained cheeks. “You are safe once more, my darling,” he whispered to her. “Someone call for the medic! I want her attended to immediately!” he shouted angrily when he saw her unresponsive expression and glossy eyes.

Moments later, three men arrived with a stretcher, eager to take Alinta from Bellinor's arms. However, Bellinor growled and spat, "Move out of the way! I will lay her down on it, and then you can take over!"

He gently placed Alinta on the stretcher and added, "You better inform me which room she will be admitted to as soon as you find out! And don’t worry about the costs; put the charges in my name, and make sure she receives the best treatment!" He glared protectively at the men.

"Yes, Mr. Crassus," the men responded in unison as they hurriedly rushed to safely secure Alinta to the stretcher before taking her to the ambulance.

Bellinor watched as Alinta was treated carefully. He became lost in his thoughts until grunting and incoherent roars pulled him back to the present. It was Eddison; he was still awake and struggling to free himself.

"You are quite the stubborn bastard aren't you?" Bellinor cussed through clenched teeth. Eddison looked at Bellinor with the utmost hatred, "Sshhe iss mmi..." he slurred, but the officer shoved his head to the ground to silence him.

Bellinor bent down on his haunches and whispered something menacingly in Eddison's ear.

Eddison's eyes widened at Bellinor's words, he started thrashing and kicking to break free, but it was no use his body had succumbed to the contents of the dart. "Take him away!" Bellinor ordered emotionlessly.

"Now, you will be confined to a small cell where I can keep an eye on you," he said to himself. Bellinor redirected his focus as he noticed the paramedics hoisted Alinta into the waiting ambulance. Bellinor quickly made his way to his car and instructed the driver to follow the ambulance.

Alinta heard strange noises, like ringing doorbells and electronic beeps. As her sleepiness faded, she realized it was early in the morning, and she was in a medical facility. Her heart raced as the events of the previous night replayed in her mind. Panicking, she began to shift out from under the covers to flee the bed when a sweet-looking nurse kindly greeted her.

“Mornin’ dear, where do you think you're going? The doctor hasn’t discharged you yet,” she said gently, pulling Alinta back and adjusting the blanket over her lap. “That was some strong drugs you had in your system, but the biggest surprise is how you’re even able to move, let alone try to make a run for it. Now, you need to rest; you’ve been through quite a trying time,” she added playfully as she tapped the back of her pen on Alinta’s nose before walking out of the room.

Alinta glanced around nervously. “This is quite a fancy room,” Angela remarked after whistling in astonishment.

"We are in big trouble! My wallet is going to combust before I even have a chance to get it out of my handbag," Alinta cried to her wolf.

"We may have had some help. People here know we can't afford this. What if..." Before Angela could finish her sentence, they were interrupted by rushing footsteps, and a familiar scent filled the air. Alinta froze and Angela began to snarl.

Alinta replied, a mix of surprise and panic in her voice."Oh, how my heart can now be at ease," he said, greedily cupping the side of her face as he examined her. He noticed the tension in her body language but chose to ignore it."I am so happy I was able to reach you in time before that fool had the chance to take you away from m... ahem, town.""You saved us?" Angela snarled defensively.Alinta silently thanked her wolf for bringing her back to reality. As she reflected on the event, she noticed Bellinor interpreting her silence as an invitation for affection; he began to caress her cheek lovingly with his thumb.

Instead, she took the key gently in her mouth and unlocked the door. Once inside, she kicked the door closed with her hind leg and made her way to her mother's room. She carefully climbed onto the b

It was four in the morning when a familiar noise invaded Alinta's dream, like a Viking raid on a peaceful village. She groaned as she woke up to her buzzing alarm. Just as she was about to turn it off, she remembered that today was the day of their trip. Alinta jumped out of bed, brushed her teeth, and took a quick shower. Since comfort was key to her travels, she put on some jeans, sneakers, and a pretty navy top that matched her shoes. Alinta tied her thick red hair into a high ponytail and opted for light makeup: some foundation powder, eyeliner, mascara, and cherry lip gloss. Satisfied with her appearance, she grabbed her handbag and stepped out of the cottage, just in time to see the taxi driver ready to help with her luggage.Alinta arrived at the bus station an hour before departure. Great, some time to grab snacks for the road, she thought. Just then, she caught a familiar scent and anxiously spun around, only to find Bellinor standing among the trees, almost hidden in their s

Alinta was so excited. She had just boarded the plane and found her seat. It had been an hour and a half since she ran from the silver-haired stranger, and Angela had been awfully quiet. This usually happened when Angela was genuinely pissed off.“Ange, are you angry with me?” Alinta asked, worried. She waited for a response, but there was none. Alinta felt regret wash over her as a pit of unease settled in her stomach. She never wanted to upset her best friend, but she had her reasons. It was just too absurd; no werewolf in history had ever had a second-chance mate. Why now? Why right before their birthday? Was it because Eddison finally rejected her? That would explain the timing, but still... he shouldn't exist. Did the Moon finally realise he had made a mistake, just like he had with the imperfect lesser deity?“Geez, your thoughts are so loud!” Angela giggled like a little girl.“Ange! Are you okay?” Alinta asked anxiously.“Yeah. Why do you sound so stressed?” Angela replied, co

"I can't wait to get off this plane and relax in a normal room," she sighed tiredly, fidgeting with her hands."Yeah, it was nice of Helen to book us a hotel close to the airport for the night," Angela hummed."That woman thought of everything. On a plane heading to Mercurysburg, Orion sat like a statue with his eyes closed. He had managed to book a flight for ten a.m., which would land in the capital around five a.m. the next morning. Orion was in a meditative state; he had been practising this every day for two hours, hoping for at least a fraction of his memories to return. During his travels, he also tried to learn as much as he could about the world he was in.Although Silas had spent centuries in this world, most of that time was spent in his forest, uninterested in what lay beyond its borders during the seasons of change. When the time came for him to leave the forest, he had no idea what to expect. It was thanks to Greer and his many avian friends from nearby cities, who were familiar with the affairs of the two-legged, featherless giants—whether shifters or humans—that Orion and Silas were able to navigate the world outside his forest. Now, Orion and Silas had thirteen long hours remaining on the agonizing flight. However, just as quickly as it ignited, it faded, and his soft expression returned."Please, do not fear me. I have given you my heart, love, and sincerity. I only worship you, my little Vixen. You are completely oblivious to the extent of my adoration for you. I have been there for you during your moments of loneliness and even when you wished me away. Then, the ash engulfed him, transporting him into the sky."You dare lay your hands on what belongs to me!?"
