Guinevere's POV

"An emergency came up, and I have to head south," Reagan said, his voice laced with urgency.

“What happened?” I asked, stepping closer to him, my eyes searching his face for any clue about the situation.

“Apparently, an illness seems to have broken out in Crescent Pack,” he explained, his tone serious as he ran a hand through his hair, a habit I knew he had when he was stressed.

“No, that’s bad. I should come with you,” I offered, my voice firm as I reached out, my hand instinctively brushing against his arm.

Reagan’s gaze softened at my concern, but he shook his head gently, his hand covering mine. “No, you should head back to the pack. We’ve been gone, and though I trust Rya, they need the supervision of their Luna,” he said, his voice steady yet tender. His thumb traced small circles on the back of my hand, trying to reassure me.
