A wolf witch hybrid.

“Henri wait!” I call after him as he pushes past my Lycan family and heads to the door.

“Saskia’s in trouble…” He roars. He isn’t listening to me, he is almost already at his car and I can’t run like I used to.

“Henri!” I growl, releasing my aura which stops him in his tracks.

“We need to regroup and put a plan in place…”

“Aida…the children are ready.” Rory announces as he walks up to us, watching Henri carefully.

“Goddess!” I curse, everything always at once.

“Henri…let me just do one thing and then we will sort something out.”

“Aida, you aren’t a member of my pack anymore…remember? You don’t tell me what to do!”

“No but she is your Queen and you will pledge to her.” Axel growls trying to block me. He needs to stop!

Why would Andrei not carry out Lance’s orders, why would he have returned but not with Hansen. Where was Hansen?

“My Luna and my pack are in danger…I’m not waiting!” His eyes flashing at me, he was letting the mixed emotions of aggression and f

Plans and protests. “What do you want to do?” Brennan touches my shoulder from behind me forcing me to turn around to him. “I know you are worried about Lance, we all are. But I need to check the babies, you haven’t had any food or drink today…I might need to put you on a rehydration drip back at the royal pack.” He says as he frowns looking at my belly. I take a deep breath in to calm my thoughts. He was right, I needed to take a small break. “Okay, let’s regroup back at the training base. I want to know everything about Andrei and if there is any evidence of involvement with the rebels.” I agree to return but as long as I can still get some sort of answers.Something was niggling at me in my gut and for once it wasn’t baby related. “What of the Sagar pack?” Axel asks as we start to walk out of the school assembly hall and head back to the alpha mansion, to rejoin the rest of our party. “We will keep in touch. Henri will either call Andrei out and end up in a fight with him, whi

The pretender King. It was now early evening and we were minutes away from the Sagar pack. The warriors were ordered to hold back until they were called upon by Mav. We didn’t want Andrei, even if he was still on Sagar grounds, to have any indication that our visit was nothing more than a new family drama. “Aida, last chance. Are you sure about this?” Brennan whispers into my ear as with approach the pack gates. “There’s no turning back now Brennan, it’s too late…our arrival will have been announced…” I trail off as my eyes fixate on the unmanned gates. Or maybe not announced. Where was border patrol?“I knew it, we are heading into a trap.” Axel growls from the front seat. “Yes there should always be a patrol shift on the gates…no matter what. Something clearly has happened.” I let my own mind’s concern venture out onto my lips. “Turns round!” Axel growls at Mav who was driving. “No Axel, they would have seen us now. We need to stick to the plan. The warriors are prepared they

Delving deeper. “Andrei, you are right. I do you a discredit. I’m surprised to hear you are in league with the rogue leader that calls himself the King. What has he promised that you would betray Henri for?” I stall for much needed time as I take a seat, tactfully in an armchair. No one can sit next to me then…get too close. He takes a seat opposite me, watching me intently. He oozes confidence as he sits back, relaxing as if he had all the time in the world. Good, because I needed time on my side. Andrei’s eyes continue to watch me from over his clasped hands leaning against his chin. He was thinking, thinking what exactly? “Is Henri still alive?” “Oh yes, he is still alive. He arrived during the take over, shame really. I wanted him to be spared.” He sounds almost remorseful. “What do you mean?” I asked confused by his choice of words. “I care for this pack Aida, this pack has always been my home….” He cuts off when I scoff at his words. “Yes you’ve not had the best of times

An offer. His words make my heart rate spike, I felt uncomfortable from his words. “Andrei, I am mated.” I breathe out. “Hhmm things can change.” His eyes burn into my skin. I’m struggling to hold his gaze, my eyes want to look to the floor, not see any kind of desire in his eyes. I was only for Lance to desire. He continues to pull me to the hallway, to the basement door where two guards stand outside. “Any trouble?” He demands an update of them. “No my King, all quiet here.” A guard replies. “Good!”He starts to gently pull me down the stairs into the basement, but it is unnatural for my body to go down these stairs. I pull back, apprehensive. “Aida, I promised you won’t be harmed.” I can tell by his eyes that he actually means that. Against my better judgement I follow him downstairs, I needed to make sure Henri was still alive and where Caleb wasn’t being held captive. I follow Andrei down the stairs to find Henri, Saskia, William, Trisha, Caleb and Skylar tied up on ch

Hands outstretched. Everything is slowed down to the tiniest of details. I could already hear a commotion outside, had Mav or Axel gained consciousness and taken back control? I can feel each of my heart beats, each bang against my chest, each thud warning me to do something. No, not these stairs…I refuse to be pulled down these stairs any more. I try to push my hands forward, trying to reach out. But it is only thin air that greets me. Panic takes over me as I feel myself losing the battle against Andrei and gravity. Until he appears at the top of the stairs, like a godly apparition. He meets my reached out hands and manages to pull me towards him. His scent, my favourite smell, wraps around me like a protective arm. “Aida!” He sighs desperately grabbing hold of my hands. It is then over in seconds. A loud crash behind me turns my head to find two wolves fighting at the bottom of the stairs. I breathe a sigh of relief as he pulls me into his chest and helps to rebalance my foot

A new study buddy. “You’ve got a lot to tell me my little wolf.” Lance’s voice pushes Rory’s from out of my head. “Let’s start with how you got yourself captured shall we?” I muse back through the mind-link at him. His arms wrap tightly around my lower back and he pulls me into him, inhaling my scent. “Hmm less talking….” He starts to kiss my neck, nibbling on my skin, leaving new marks. His wolf won’t like that another male has marked me with finger prints. He will feel the need to give me small love bites tonight and I wouldn’t dream of stopping him. “Was it Andrei?” His back stiffens as I shake my head in response. He takes hold of my hand as he gently pulls me through the alpha house hallway and back outside into the courtyard. “Anyone of these?” He asks me through the mind-link. I look through the collection of rogues now sitting on the floor. They were now being held captive by the lycan and sagar pack warriors that had been in their captivity until only ten minutes ago.

A steamy shower. It’s been a week since the fall of Andrei and the rebel rogues. Or the ones we captured at least. We knew there were rogues still scattered around and we had sent trackers out to locate any possible locations. Today was Alpha Triste’s hearing, he had been under lycan surveillance whilst Mav led a search on his pack grounds for evidence. We were to attend the Triste pack later on this morning and make a decision going forward. Giovanni was tutoring me now. My lessons with Lorrel seemed to have organically reduce and my lessons with him grew more frequent. It was 6.30am and I had been up for two hours already. I was struggling to sleep now, I would wake up in the night with a surge of energy…a want to clean things and then would be tired again come mid morning. I was also waking up in cold sweat panicking about the babies coming and us not being prepared. The palace wasn’t finished, we didn’t have nursery furniture and I only had a chance to order a few basic baby

A day of surprises. “Uncle? What a surprise?” Lance keeps his growl at bay, fun mate time has now officially ended. “Is it? Every morning Lance I’ve been tutoring Aida, it shouldn’t be a surprise I am here.” He helps himself to some fresh coffee in the kitchen. “Typical.” Lance groans in my mind. “I’ll make it up to you tonight.” I promise through the link. “Two ticks and I’ll be with you.” I say to Giovanni who just waves his hands not caring about catching Lance and I in our towels having showered together. “Aida I haven’t made eight children without lots of practice.” He muses. “Too much information Uncle.” Lance growls as he enters the bedroom to the sound of Giovanni’s playful laughter. ….It was now late morning and we had arrived at the Triste pack grounds. Axel, Brennan and Giovanni accompanied Lance and I in our vehicle, with warriors following us behind. It was a tight squeeze and I was now struggling with seatbelts. The compromise was that Lance wrapped his arms arou

A pledge. Lance POVAida had been extremely quiet on the drive back home. After packing we said our goodbyes and wished Trey good luck for his training with Giovanni. “Are you okay?” I place my hand on her thigh, as I check the rear view mirror. Both babies were sound asleep in their car seats and I was leading the security convoy back home. Brennan insisted on returning sooner than planned with us, he wanted to give Aida a full check up. He quietly said to me that judging by the twin’s early arrival we need to consider March onwards for her delivery. “I’m just a little shocked that’s all.” “You’re putting your block up, I can’t feel you. Aren’t you excited?”“Yes of course, of course I am. I just…I just wanted to do the training…to help keep them safe.” She looks out of her side window, not letting me look at the emotions on her face. “Angel, you don’t need to train to keep them safe. I have an army of warriors to keep them safe, I will keep you all safe.” …..“Aida would you

Boxing DayChristmas was everything and more. We didn’t buy Lex and Leona much because..well they are babies and didn’t actually know it was Christmas. The day was more for us and I thoroughly enjoyed making those memories as a family. Blake’s and Trey’s ceremony was beautiful and I can see why people waited for a special marking. But Lance had waited for so long to mark me that I didn’t regret our love story for one moment. Our wedding would be our celebration in front of our family and friends and the ceremony got me excited to start planning when I returned from training with Giovanni. I would definitely ask Blake to help with the planning. Their ceremony was under the winter night’s sky with the stars acting as twinkling fairy lights against the strong moon’s glow. She had been growing her hair out for the occasion and instead of the pixie cut when I first met her, she had managed to grow it out into a long bob, which she styled wavy with winter berries styled in a number of r

Christmas with the family. It was now December, Christmas Eve to be precise, and I was so excited to not only experience Lex’s and Leona’s first Christmas but to start training with Giovanni on Boxing Day. I had weaned Lex and Leona completely off me and they were now on solids and cow’s milk. Colette couldn’t believe their development. I knew shifter children developed quicker than human babies, but Colette found it hard to get her head around it. In fact, Lex was almost a similar size to Rayna even though he was 5 months younger than her. Colette was heavily pregnant and her mood swings were increasing. She was quite adamant that she didn’t want to know the baby’s gender this time around and was quite blunt to Mav about it. They had moved back to their house near the Mulder pack, she wanted her space and I understood, she was uncomfortable nesting in someone else’s home. I still saw her regularly and Mav every day. We had even babysat Rayna a couple of times so Colette could get

Saying goodbye. “Trust the Mulder Alpha, he holds the second of three!” Fern’s voice kept ringing in my ears. Is that what she meant, that Rory’s dagger was similar to the dagger Fiona used in the battle. Would it have killed me? It didn’t kill Fern, but is that because she has tied herself to Leona and Lex? It certainly was a powerful weapon. I could feel its power as soon as it cut my palm. With every cut it took longer to heal. I could feel a slight tingle in the wound, as I clasp it open and shut repeatedly. “Still healing?” Lance’s voice comes from the office door, his body engulfing the door frame as he lent up against it. “It’s taking longer this time.” I say as I trace my finger across the wound, even with Lance’s alpha saliva it wasn’t quite there yet. “Want me to re-lick it?” He smirks seductively as he walks into the office and closes the door behind him. “Well…if you’re offering.” I smile back at him before taking on a more serious tone. “I think Rory’s dagger migh

Setting out the terms. I was woken up by a few things. Something hard poking me from behind, Lance also snoring behind me…so that explained the something hard poking me from behind. I also woke up hot and sweaty, which hasn’t happened to me in a long time. I don’t remember dreaming last night, maybe it was a hot night. It was August after all and the summer heat was still clinging on before the autumnal wind change in a few week’s time. Lex was stirring whether he also added to my early awakening or his stirring was a result of my awakening…goddess knows. I throw on my nude leggings and a vest top before taking Lex down with me before he wakes up his daddy and sister to change him and give him some milk. I’m not even sure what the time was but the morning still had a slight darkness to it which for summer would tell me is was between 4am and 5am. The moon was just starting her transition of handing over the light shift to the sun. Lex and I settle down on the sofa once he has b

A chosen family. It was now dinner time and Rory had returned to the royal home having watched some trainees down at the training base. I know Rowan is keen to train and I wonder, when of age, if Rory will agree to enlist him. He hasn’t admitted it but I know he is impressed with Rafe’s training, especially as he has been heading up the Mulder pack security function recently. I had offered to make dinner tonight, even with Axel’s playful rude comments about my cooking. He said if there was a French fry in sight, he would order a takeaway in. Okay so that did spoil my initial plan but then I offered spaghetti bolognaise, garlic bread and salad for everyone and their mouths were already drooling from the mere prospect. There was fifteen of us sitting around the table, including my cutie Rayna. She was so proud to be sat in a high chair and eating the same dinner as the grown ups. Although she was making quite a mess of her outfit…and the floor for that matter but I didn’t care. I’m s

Steamy time in the office. “Do I even want to ask who you have in mind?” I chuckle as he closes the door, after watching Rory walk down the corridor. “No, because right now I have you all to myself.” He seductively grins as he locks the office door. “That’s true!” I stand up off his chair and walk towards the other side of the desk, perching against it slightly.Blake had put my outfit together for me today. A tight black vest top with skin coloured leggings. She said my wardrobe space was huge and looked very sad with nothing in it. So I ordered a few bits on her recommendation, and clearly my fiancé appreciated my attire today. “Do you have any idea how sexy you look in those leggings?” His eyes turn to that of a predator, ready to devour me. His eyes remain on me, my skin heating under his focused stare, as he prowls towards me. My body reacts to his movement, my breathing quickening as my breasts rise and fall under my tight vest. He leans into me, encasing me against the de

A forever friendship. Three weeks have passed and the dust was starting to settle. The Saunders pack had lost a lot of warriors and we have been providing lycan muscle to help protect their borders while they train pack members in case another attack occurred. However, you could be the best trained warrior yet a fight against witchcraft would completely reduce your chances of survival. This brought a new fire to my belly in ensuring the safety of the shifter community’s future. The Santos Lycan training programme was actually over subscribed and fully booked for the next two years. Alpha’s were keen to ensure their warriors were trained at the highest level. I think it also helped that they had pledged to me and knew I wouldn’t let anything untoward happen to their male and female fighters whilst on Royal Lycan land. Rafe had completed his training and I was sad to see him go. I missed seeing him around the training base. Alpha Ray and Luna Rennie came to his graduation, even Rowan
