Chapter 71

Author: Dreamy Fire
Warren's roar was just as Felix imagined. After all, Sasha had been abducted by Ironhulk in the middle of the night. How could her family be unbothered?

"Uncle Warren, Sasha's safe. I'm sending her home now," Felix said.

"I'll be waiting!" Warren boomed. Felix could tell that Warren was genuinely furious this time. Felix also clearly knew that Sasha had been abducted precisely because of him.

When they arrived at Silverwood, Nattie was in tears. "Sasha!"

Felix placed Sasha on the couch and said, "She's fine. She just passed out."

At least Sasha wasn't tortured—this was the only thing that reassured Felix.

"You animal! Get lost! You're nothing but trouble, and you've even dragged our family into this. Warren and I were beaten up, and all you did was a simple bandage job. Get out of here!" Nattie demanded.

Felix said nothing in reply. He only approached Warren while gazing at him.

"Tell me honestly. How have I treated you?" Warren asked.

"You've treated me as your godson, Uncle

Although the information shocked Warren, he quickly frowned and said, "So what? As Lord Kane's distant relative, he couldn't handle trouble like this and even affected you. "This means that Felix has offended someone far more dangerous and beyond our reach! From now on, Felix no longer has anything to do with our family. This might sound irresponsible, but it's for your safety."After he was done speaking, Warren turned and left. Only he knew whether he genuinely intended to cut ties with Felix."Mom!" Sasha looked helplessly at Nattie, who was still in the bedroom. Reflecting on Felix's actions, Sasha realized that Felix had never deceived or pretended. All of his past actions were absolutely genuine.Just the fact that he was Kane's relative had enabled him to accomplish things easily. Besides, Felix had saved her twice. She had to marry him—how could she wait for other women to throw themselves into his arms?Nattie said, "Sasha, if Felix really is Lord Kane's relative, then l

Completely unbothered, Xena sneered. It seemed that Felix was giving Ted a chance, but it was just Felix's attempt to involve her and rid himself of these troubles once and for all.He was just a reckless brute who knew martial arts. He should've evaluated his own capabilities before acting impulsively. Now, the damage was done, and people were starting to take revenge. Only then did Felix realize the danger. How ridiculous! So what if he was a martial artist? Perry's Golden Chamber of Commerce had developed significantly over the years with Xena's hidden assistance. They could easily take Felix down by relying solely on themselves.Besides, Felix definitely didn't qualify to pursue her if he couldn't even get past Ted.…In Sapphire Paragon, a high-end restaurant in Avesburgh, Sabrina was having lunch with Lawrence Schneider. He was a plump, middle-aged man.Suddenly, his expression changed as he received a phone call. He quickly wiped his mouth and said, "Babe, go ahead with

Not wanting to be deemed as unreasonable, Sabrina crossed her arms and coldly spoke, "Fine, then. It's better now that you're here. This bottle of wine worth 20 thousand dollars was shattered thanks to this man right here."Mr. Schneider had it stored in your restaurant—you can verify this easily."Upon her words, Tim understood that the wine couldn't be fake—any wine had to be authenticated before storage at Sapphire Paragon. Otherwise, if the staff had damaged it, how could the compensation be settled if the guest merely stated any amount?A card appeared before Tim as he looked toward Felix. Felix said, "Any issues with you taking care of things? I'm not wasting another word with this woman."Sabrina rolled her eyes. "Who do you think you are? How shameless to ask someone else to handle matters for you."However, Tim's eyes widened in extreme shock the next moment. Oh, dear! Was that a Golden Card? Unbelievable! A VIP had come to dine here."Our dearest VIP, I sincerely ap

Wendy was already nervous. Although she had feelings for Felix, she was afraid to offend him too much. Now that Hugo had suddenly appeared, she quickly stood up."Hugo, what brings you here?"She was rather unhappy with Hugo's sudden intrusion. Nevertheless, he had contributed to treating Bernard. Hence, Wendy still had to show some gratitude.Hugo regained his composure and forced a smile. "I heard you're dining here, so I came to have a look. Did I interrupt anything?"Felix understood that there was more to his words, but he remained unbothered. After all, nothing was going on between him and Wendy. Even if there was something between them, Felix wasn't one to care about others' opinions."Indeed, it's a bit inconvenient right now. I'm having a meal with my friend."Damn it! Hugo wondered if Felix was trying to chase him away.Though he still had a smile plastered on his face, his gaze toward Felix became icier. "I shall not interrupt your meal, then. Inferno's brows twitched as he sneered, "Hah! I must've underestimated your abilities. Interesting that you could find out that Nocturno's my brother. What a shame, though—why does it matter?"He had come here with a simple objective, which was to capture the villa's owner and interrogate them to find out who killed Nocturno. Even brief descriptions would be enough for him to deduce the culprit. After all, only a few people were capable of killing him."Are you belittling me?" Xena's strong presence surged. After becoming the goddess of war, she paid more attention to her ego. She wouldn't tolerate such an attitude from others."Xena Summers, my brother came to you just to savor the feeling of sleeping with the goddess of war. Even he had dared to do so—do you think you're a match for me?""What about me?" a voice interrupted Inferno. Chain Asura appeared before him."You must be the Asura from the headquarters! You seemed well-prepared, but what a shame that all of you have u

"Please save her, Mr. Zeller." Chain Asura knew who Felix truly was. Naturally, Felix was the most suitable one to treat Xena at that moment.Yet, Felix simply shook his head. "He didn't intend to kill her—that blow was to just make her pass out. Her convulsions are due to her own physical state. She'll be fine after a while."Chain Asura was shocked. Felix clearly learned his medical skills from the miracle doctor, Gerald. How remarkable of him to know what was going on at just a glance. But why did Inferno leave Xena alive?"Also, someone's coming."Upon hearing this, Chain Asura quickly turned toward Xena. Sure enough, an emergency call button was flashing, signaling for the Phoenix Legion to send support. It seemed that the button was triggered right after Xena had been struck.Felix didn't plan to leave since this was his home. Xena's condition was something he had discovered during her previous treatment. It wasn't dangerous as of now, but it could pose a threat in the fut

"Xena, don't think too much. Inferno is dead, and Chain Asura has taken his body to report back to the headquarters. He says that you deserved half of the credit. All you have to do now is to rest up."Rest? Xena got out of bed straight away. Her mind became increasingly muddled.Inferno was dead? And killed by Chain Asura? Impossible—she remembered everything clearly before she was struck.Even when she and Chain Asura had teamed up, they were still at a disadvantage. What was more, he was the only one left after she lost consciousness. How could he have killed Inferno alone?"By the way, there's something else I have to tell you, milady. Felix was also there when we arrived. He had violated military orders and sneaked back to his villa. Should he be punished?"Xena widened her eyes in shock immediately. "Y-You're saying that Felix was there, too?""Fighting all day in my house—how annoying!" The voice echoed in her mind. She remembered it clearly. Someone had said it before s

Once Wesley healed Curtis, everything would fall into place for him to be with Xena.…At the same time, Felix stood outside the mansion and rang the doorbell. Yet, it was Belle and Jordan who came out."Felix? What are you doing here?" Belle disliked him strongly. He was a useless good-for-nothing, but he still fantasized about marrying Xena. Just because of that prenuptial agreement? He was craving for what he was not worthy of! Even Jordan alone could easily take on an army of Felixes."I'm here to visit Mr. Summers Senior. Is Xena here?" Felix asked. He had come over because Louie had obtained a Grimflower and delivered it to his villa. Felix verified that it was indeed genuine and came over immediately. After treating it with acupuncture techniques, the Grimflower could stop the Phantom Poison

Ginny was naturally present as well, and she spoke up at that moment. "Mr. Goldstein, no one wanted to see Justus die like that. But why did you bring your people to Longstone residence? Are you suggesting that his sudden death has something to do with us?"Joaquin's expression grew darker as he looked at her. He blamed Ginny for this, thinking that none of this would have happened if she had just agreed earlier. And now, they couldn't even determine the cause of death."No connection? That doctor from your household, Felix Zeller—he's the one responsible for Justus' death."Right then, someone spoke up from the crowd. "That's him! That's Felix Zeller!"Felix, who had been calmly sitting in a chair, finally saw Wagner standing among them. And in that moment, everything made sense."Wagner? You've gotten quite bold, huh?" Gras sneered.Wagner flinched at Gras's words, but remembering that he now had the Goldsteins backing him, he stiffened his spine and stood tall. "Cut the crap

In Cloud City, there were a few noble families. Nonetheless, behind the polite smiles, tensions surged. Infiltrating each other's estates with spies had practically become a tradition. While they rarely uncovered major secrets, the information they did gather always gave them a head start. So when the news broke, Gras didn't doubt it for a second. He jumped to his feet, furious. "This is outrageous! Their son dies, and somehow it's the Longstone family's fault?"Ryker looked just as puzzled, agreeing that the accusation made no sense. But Felix let out a quiet, weary sigh. "Mr. Longstone, I'm afraid this is probably my fault. I'm a doctor, and I've gotten a bit of attention lately. After they failed to determine the cause of Justus' death, and given our meeting earlier today, they likely saw an opportunity to drag your family into the mess." Gras's expression darkened, knowing that Felix wasn't wrong. After all, doctors could also be poisoners, and plenty of martial artists had fa

It was clear someone had said something to Justus. Otherwise, this situation wouldn't have escalated to this point.Felix said calmly, "It was a standard therapeutic massage technique, and I was blindfolded the entire time. Does that explanation satisfy you? Or would you rather find someone else capable of treating Ms. Longstone—I'll gladly step aside if you can."Justus sneered, his eyes filled with disdain. "Cut the crap, Felix. Don't act like I don't know exactly what's going through your head. Ginny's the heiress of the Longstone residence—Gras's precious jewel. Everyone knows that marrying her is like securing the entire household. Don't tell me that thought never crossed your mind.""It didn't," Felix said simply.Unfortunately, that answer was never going to satisfy Justus. He snarled, "Listen up, boy! I'm giving you three days to get the hell out of the Longstone residence. If you don't, you won't even get the chance to regret it. Everyone else might be afraid of Gras—but I

As Wagner watched Justus explode in rage, he felt an overwhelming sense of satisfaction. With what he'd just uncovered, there was no need to exaggerate—it was already explosive enough on its own. After all, Justus' future fiancée was touched in that kind of intimate way by a young, healthy doctor. Any man with a spine would lose it."But Justus," Wagner added with a smirk. "Didn't Felix just get publicly praised by the Green King?"Cloud City wasn't that big. Anyone with any influence had been keeping close tabs on Green King Manor—especially with the mystery man who walked out of Desolated Lands involved. So, the news of Felix being rewarded had already spread far and wide.Justus clenched his jaw. "So what? It's just a flash in the pan. If he was truly skilled, the Green King would've kept him. But as long as he hasn't climbed into the Green King's inner circle, I can crush him whenever I want."Wagner's grin widened. That was exactly the attitude he needed. If Justus had shown

The moment the Flame Monarch mentioned the Healer Sage, the Green King's expression shifted noticeably. "So the Sage really was living out there in seclusion... No wonder. Flame Monarch, does this mean you've taken a liking to Felix?"But the Flame Monarch waved his hand dismissively. "There's no need for that."That response made the Green King secretly rejoice. If the Flame Monarch didn't intend to recruit Felix, then he understood why—and that was perfect. It meant the opportunity to take Felix under his own wing was wide open. The night passed quietly. Felix stood beside Christopher's bedside, noticing the man's breathing had grown steady and stable. At this point, the herb had run its course and was no longer effective. But what was left inside Christopher's soul—a strange, lingering force—was exactly what Felix had hoped for.Christopher was alive but completely unconscious. The remaining energy had no regenerative properties, which meant he'd likely never wake again. For Fe

Felix wasn't the least bit surprised by the Flame Monarch's reaction, but he still feigned confusion. "Flame Monarch, I'm sorry... but I don't understand. What do you mean by soul-related injuries?"Just from that single line, Felix confirmed what he suspected—Aquamarinus had no concept of soul-based matters. Whether it was training methods or anything else, this realm hadn't yet touched that domain. The Flame Monarch stared at him, pressure radiating from his body. Felix immediately felt his limbs start to tremble under the invisible weight."You don't know? Then how could you claim to treat that man's condition?" Felix calmly pointed toward the herbs laid out on the table. "The force inside him is definitely strange. It triggered a memory... I once sensed something very similar, and it came from within that herb. It was purely instinct—when something feels familiar, there's a chance it might work."The Flame Monarch shifted his gaze to the herb, then said flatly, "Start from th

Felix gave him a direct and honest answer. "As long as I have enough herbs. I can treat him. I won't promise a full recovery, but one thing I can guarantee you is that this man won't die."For now, that was the best possible answer anyone could offer. The Flame Monarch replied, "Good. Begin. As long as you can keep him alive, you'll be handsomely rewarded."It seemed the Flame Monarch already knew something and never truly expected anyone to completely cure Christopher. Preserving his life alone would already be a feat."Flame Monarch, please reconsider!" one of the elderly doctors suddenly cut in, seething with resentment. "This boy is barely grown—how could he possibly possess such remarkable skill in medicine?"The Flame Monarch turned and gave him a cold, mocking glance. "If he can't do it, then can you?"The old man went silent. Perhaps fearing the loss of favor or acting out of sheer pride, he hesitated. Eventually, he found the courage to speak again."I admit I can't, bu

The Green King's expression changed instantly, and he turned to Felix in a hurry. "Dr. Zeller, please come with me to greet him.""Of course," Felix replied. For anyone in Aquamarinus, getting the chance to see the Flame Monarch up close was like a once-in-a-lifetime dream, and people would probably die happy just for that. Naturally, Felix put on a show of reverence as well, even if he didn't feel it deep down.As they reached the front gate, Felix saw several figures striding toward them with heavy steps. At the front of the group was a towering man, nearly nine feet tall. Even someone as built as Dave looked like a delicate bystander next to him. What stood out the most was his bright crimson hair, which flared upward like flames, making it look like his head was on fire. His facial features were fairly average, but the power behind his gaze radiated pure, undeniable authority. So, this was the Flame Monarch?Felix studied him closely. He suspected the man had cultivated some

According to the rules set by the Flame Monarch, the position of Minor Kings rotated every five years. Those who made outstanding contributions could keep their titles, but anyone who fell short would have to fight for their place all over again. The Green King knew he wasn't particularly strong—he was painfully aware of that. And with the next year marking the fifth year, the pressure was mounting fast. So when Christopher appeared, it felt like fate. If he could heal this man before the Flame Monarch arrived with his elite doctors, the credit would be immense, and his reappointment would be virtually guaranteed. Anyone who had never held a Minor King title wouldn't understand just how many perks came with it. If they did, no one would give it up willingly."I can treat him," Felix said calmly. "But I can't promise a full recovery."The Green King smiled. "Do your best. Even if you can only keep him alive, that alone is worth it."Two doctors before had said that Christopher's b
