Exalia’s pov
During the journey, I kept on thinking about Alpha Alex and his sudden strange behavior.Mabel who sat beside me had been very quite since the journey began.“Hey how are you?” I asked her, patting her shoulders.Mabel smiled and nodded, “I’m good my lady, and you?” She asked. I looked at her almost unbelievably.“Well, there’s no way I can be okay. I wake up this morning and Alpha Alex starts acting strange all of a sudden and now he says I should be take up north”. I blurted out, desperately wanting someone to understand my feelings.Mabel looked at me, a warm expression on her face. Hopefully, she understood me.“Hey my lady, please don’t panic, maybe there’s a good reason for his recent actions and decisions”.What was Mabel doing?Oh, she was trying to be a good girl and comfort her mistress. If not, why would she say there must be a good reason for an Alpha toExalia’s pov; It was night, and Mabel and I had just finished dinner. We had mashed potatoes, prepared by Mabel’s expert hands. Not to exaggerate, but she was an excellent cook.“My lady,” she called out to me in a calm voice.“What’s up, dear?” I asked, looking at her.She sat on a wooden chair close to my bed.“About that stupid, idiotic girl who disrespected you earlier today—I’m really sorry about it,” she said in a soothing and calming tone.“Haha, where’s this coming from? Oh, come on, it’s not your fault, haba!” I laughed in reply.“I know, but I so badly wanted to beat the hell out of her.” I knew Mabel meant every word. It was obvious from the way she had pinned that girl by the throat and warned her never to disrespect me again. I was proud of Mabel; she could be a fierce little beast.“It’s all good; let’s not talk about it,” I said, shifting my pillow.“Yeah, sure, my lady,” she replied humbly.
Alex’s POVIt was Friday morning—a perfect day to enjoy freedom and impatiently wait for the weekend. After a long, exhausting day yesterday, I’d had a deep, much-needed sleep. As my alarm blared, I slammed it off with irritation, its vibrating sound abruptly ceasing. I sat upright on my bed, my mind filled with thoughts of Exalia. I couldn’t stop worrying about her. I knew she wouldn’t be happy with me for sending her away so suddenly. It had been abrupt—unplanned. The confusion on her face that day haunted me. She didn’t understand, nor could she. Perhaps it was time to bring my Luna back home.As I was lost in thought, a knock came at the door.“Who is it?” I asked briskly.“It’s your Beta, Alpha,” came the familiar voice.“Come in,” I replied. He opened the door and stepped inside.“Good morning, Alpha. Just a reminder—the Moon Ceremony will commence soon,” he informed me.“Thank you,” I said curtly, gesturing for him
Alpha Alex POV. It was Friday night, and I was finally back in my room after dinner in the dining hall. Exhaustion weighed on me, and all I wanted was to collapse into bed. But I couldn’t. I still had work to do. First, my nightly push-ups. Then, the more critical task—writing formal invitations to the top-tier Alphas and queens for Sunday’s meeting, only two days away. I dropped to the ground and began my push-ups, muscles tightening with each count. One hundred rounds later, I collapsed, sweat clinging to my skin. My body demanded rest, but the letters couldn’t wait. First, though, I needed a bath. Shedding my clothes, I sank into the warm, soapy water of the tub. The heat melted my tension, washing away the day’s fatigue. Once refreshed, I dried off, dressed, and sat at my desk. The first invitation was addressed to the Alphas, the second to the queens. By the time I finished, my letters we
Alex’s POV“Sir, he’s unavailable,” a guard reported. “He left with soldiers to finalize defense plans against the northern packs.”“Hmm,” I muttered. “Fine. Get Caleb. Now.”The guard darted inside, and moments later, Caleb, my Gamma, appeared. As usual, he grinned broadly, showing off his slightly crooked teeth.“Honorable Alpha!” he greeted cheerfully, saluting with exaggerated enthusiasm.“Enough,” I said, rolling my eyes. “Follow me.”We headed to my chambers. Once there, I turned to him. “Caleb, I need you to take charge while I’m gone.”His grin faded as he studied my face. “You’re traveling?”I nodded. “I’m going north to visit Exalia. I’ll return by morning. In the meantime, no rash decisions.”“You can count on me,” he said solemnly.“Good. Get my horse ready. Bring cigarettes and water, too.”Caleb sprang into action while I prepared in my chambers. I was
Alex’s POvPrincess Tatiana was more than a family friend—she was practically royalty in my world. The Alpha of the prestigious Silver Pack, Tatiana commanded respect wherever she went. Five days earlier, she had graced the Moon Ceremony Gathering with her presence, a rare appearance given her packed schedule. To my surprise, she approached unarmed and without her usual entourage of guards. The sight of her striding confidently toward me, her aura as commanding as ever, caught me off guard. She greeted me warmly, wrapping me in a firm embrace before I had the chance to speak."Tatiana, I must admit, I’m surprised to see you here," I said, taking her delicate hand and pressing a kiss to her soft fingers.A playful smile spread across her lips as she winked. "Sometimes, a leader needs to step away from the chaos and recharge. The responsibilities can be suffocating."I nodded, understanding all too well. "You’re absolutely right. As a leader myself, I can relate."Her smile deepened, an
Exalia's POV The betrayal stung like a fresh wound, sharp and unrelenting. I replayed the moment in my head—Alex, standing in front of Tatiana, smiling so casually as he denied me. Me. The audacity of him to dismiss me as just his maid in front of her, right to my face. And now here he was, pleading for forgiveness. “Exalia, please… don’t be like this. Calm down,” he said softly, his tone laced with desperation. I stared at him coldly, every inch of me resisting the urge to slap the smugness off his face. My disappointment and anger swirled together like a storm I couldn’t control. How could he reduce me to nothing so easily? Still, I let out a long breath, deciding to feign calmness. “It’s fine. It’s all good,” I muttered, my voice trembling slightly from the effort to keep it steady. The resentment slipped through anyway, poisoning every word. He smiled—actually smiled—and leaned forward to press a quick kiss on my cheek. “Thanks for forgiving me.” I forced a weak smile back. I
Exalia’s POV Mabel and I were chatting happily. She was telling me about some of her escapades, and I was doing the same. It was a very interesting moment for both of us. Just then, there was a knock at the door. “I’ll get it,” I said and quickly walked over to open it. It was Alpha Alex. He had a sinister look in his eyes. “Good afternoon, Alpha,” I greeted. He smiled at me. “You know you don’t have to be so formal, and you don’t have to greet me,” he remarked. I looked at him coldly before replying, “No problem. You knocked.” He smiled again before speaking. “Mabel, get Exalia ready, and you both tidy up your belongings. We’re heading back to the main palace.” Mabel saluted him and started packing our things as soon as he left. “Finally, at last,” I breathed a sigh of relief. Mabel looked at me and smiled. She knew all the suffering and endurance I’d gone through since my stay here. The worst of it all was the so-called bromance going on between Princess Tatiana and Alex.
Exalia’s POVTatiana was still in my presence, and she was starting to disgust me. I hated her more with every passing moment, minute after minute, day after day.How could she just show up and act like she owned the place? Worst of all, how dare she try to steal my supposed mate?If only I were wicked—if only I were mean, rude, and cruel like others—I would have done terrible things to her. But that wasn’t who I was.Nevertheless, I was still going to deal with her, just to make her understand that she should stop encroaching on other people’s property.“Hey, Exalia,” she called out in her usual happy tone. I turned and looked at her, faking a smile as I replied.“Yes, Princess Tatiana,” I said, walking toward her.“Oh, nothing serious, dear. I just wanted to know if you have a mate. I’ve been thinking about Alex lately, and I love him so much.”“Oh,” I said, pausing for a moment to let her words fully sink in.“No, I don’t have a mate. My mate is gone,” I replied, pretending to be s

Exalia’s POVIn the heat of the moment, Yara’s chants served as a shield for all of us. Yara and her Africans have really been a great help for us, because things would age been really tough for us without their help.Who knows where we would have ended up a long time ago? Oba’s staff was similar to a spear of light. What about Kofi? His strong ties and connections to the earth grounded us and aimed to make sure that the darkness would not succeed in pulling us into It’s abyss.Alex looked at my face, then he moved closer to me, and grabbed my hands.“How you holding up?” Alex asked me, with a tone of concern.I looked at him and smiled, and told him I was doing perfectly okay.“What about you? How you doing?” I asked him, he nodded his head and held my hands more tightly, I could see the urge in his eyes to protect the pack and all what we stood for. “It’s all good, we’re going to be just fine,” I whispered to him, hoping it would reassure him.But he just looked at me and smiled
Exalia’s POVAs all these was happening, i immediately countered, my voice was strictly firm inside my mind.“Balance does not necessarily mean domination at all. You have all been set free by the folly of human beings, but do not bother yourself, for we shall restore all that should be restored.”The beings began to hesitate, maybe it was because they could sense my connection. Maybe, they could sense the struggle I was facing with the darkness inside of me. Whatever their reason was, it was not know to me, neither was it known to any of us.But all we could see was that, they had hesitated for a moment. But all of a sudden, something strange and weird happened that got us startled.A lot of things had been happening recently, had gotten us really startled, but non could be compared to this one right now. Exalia’s POVWe soon made preparations to depart, and as we departed, the air felt very charged, and looking up into the sky, it was as if the stars had been hidden by the clouds. One could also tell that the sky was preparing itself for what was to come, and there where a lot of clouds in the night’s sky, which made me feel that it might rain.“There are no clouds,” I whispered to Alex as we traveled. He looked into the sky and sighed, but he didn’t say anything. “Do you think it will rain?” I asked him, he looked up at the sky and then shook his head.“I don’t think so,” he said, looking up at the sky again. “I think we shall have a smoot journey.” He added, he held my hands as we continued our journey into the unknown. We traveled on and on, throughout the night, our pathways lit by the moon when it sometimes came out from the clouds that covered it.We kept on moving and moving, until we got to a place that seemed like a sacred ground. “This seems to be a high place of power,”
Exalia’s POVKofi was doing a lot, you could see it from the pale facial expression he had, “My Luna!” He yelled, “The darkness that we faced inside the carven is also part of this.” He paused for a moment and then continued. “The ritual that we stopped, was aimed at weakening the barriers, it was to help prepare for the return and freedom of this entity.” We all looked at one another, as listened to what he had to say, Yara nodded her head, as she was the one who understood him the most.As he conveyed his message, it became clearer and more clear to us, we now had a full understanding of what was going on.After he Kofi finished speaking, the vision faded, and we were all struck with a feeling of incoming doom, we knew that something would happen. The entity that made that howl was not just a threat, to our pack.It would cause mayhem if unleashed, and it was a threat to the balance of all life. Such a creature was evil and malevolent, on no account should it be left to get its
Exalia’s PoV When talking about the howl that pierced the night, one could describe it as being unlike any other howl or sound that had ever been heard as a howl.It sounded to scary and eerie, and anyone who was not a supernatural could have become deaf after listening to it, because it was so loud. Thanks to our werewolf nature and abilities, we did not become deaf as a result of the loud howl, but we were rather terrified and worried about it’s origin and intentions. Alex and I were both werewolves, and we knew the sounds of the howls of our fellow werewolves, this one was totally different. This particular howl came with a feeling of something ancient, it was like something out of the natural, was being summoned.Maybe a ghost or a spirit or something of such sort.“Do you think it’s a ghost or something?” I asked Alex, trying to hear his opinion. “ I don’t know if it’s a ghost, and I don’t know what it is, but what I’m sure is that It’s unlike anything I have ever heard in my
Exalia’s POVAnd the letter went thus; Alpha Alex, Luna Exalia,*This is to inform you that your actions have consequences, and you shall face the consequences. You have come in and disrupted more than you know, what is your problem, for crying out loud? The balance that you so badly want to protect is not even yours to dictate, next time it would be advisable for you to mind your business. Tell me why you would just come to somone’s property and feel that you can just mess it up and do as you please. I don’t know the reason why you should have such effrontery, like the audacity to do such a thing. Perhaps, you are all mad.Prepare for the repercussions, prepare to face the consequences of your recklessness and stupidity, next time you will learn to mind your business, bunch of idiots you are!*The crazy thing about the letter was that it was sealed with blood.Blood was what they used to write the seal of the Crescent Moon Pack. “Alex, look, I’m wondering why it’s all coloured and
