Alex’s pov.The conversations started becoming more and more lively as Lena began to share news. She talked about the pack’s latest community projects and she commented on how fast and rapidly our communities were developing.“I’m proud of our collective efforts in making sure that our communities are top notch and urbanized,” she said, the pride evident in her voice. “Hmmmm, enough of the talking about work pleasure,” Marcus interrupted her, he smiled and set his cuttlerry with a childish playful grin. “I want Alpha Alex and his ravishing Luna to tell us what the highlights of their beach day was.”Exalia burst into laughter, she looked at me and when she saw that I was smiling, she increased her own laughter. “Well, Alex brought up the idea that we build a small tiny cottage at the beach, something like a retreat from the outside cruel world.” Lena’s eyes lit up immediately she heard these words from Exalia. “Awwn, wow that sounds so romantic and divine doesn’t it?” She said loo
Exalia’s pov. That night was more cold than usual, it was too cold for a Friday. Fridays in the late spring were usually not this cold. This was the kind of cold that would sweep into your bone marrows and paralyze them. The climate was changing, or what was the reason for such cold during the late spring? I had just left Alex’s room, the memories of our just shared intimacy was still lingering in my head and I walked barefooted across the freezing floor and into my room.My long hair was a total mess, for it had been the victim of hard core love play, and I needed to comb it and make it fit perfectly, before sleep would finally envelope me and take me to dreamland. The entire palace was very silent and calm, and only the sounds of bats, owls and other night animals could I hear, I even heard dogs barking from other compounds. In the midst of it all, I felt something else. It was an undercurrent of something demonic, strange and paranormal, it was otherworldly. It darkend the au
Exalia’s pov.The night had become deep and there was now intense silence outside our room. The silent was really oppressive, similar to a situation where the earth was holding its breath and standing still. I was on full alert, gallantly on the watch out for any intruding prescence. My senses could detect the energy inside the room and feel the air in the atmosphere. I watched over Mabel as she lay peacefully on the bed. I kept on observing and I was on the look out for any form of ghosts. Slowly, the dawn started coming little by little and I could feel the lights as it arrived. I got up from the bed and walked to the window, i peeped outside and surveyed the environment, there was no trace or sign of any thing extraordinary. as I went back to the bed, there was Mabel. She had fallen into a deep sleep on the bed, she seemed so calm and peaceful and I was quite happy that she had finally found peace and fallen asleep. However, deep inside me, I knew that there were not yet a
Exalia’s pov.Mabel sat up straight immediately, her hands were gradually starting to tremble as Alex instructed her to narrate her nightmare to us in details. She told us that the scary ghost had been so malevolent and powerful that it had crossed from her dream and followed her into real life. “I felt like I was being watched by the demon, I knew for sure that it was looking at me. It knew me, this is for real, it knew all of us.” She said, whispering to Alex as her eyes turned eastwards exactly to the same spot where she had supposedly seen the spiritual monster. Alex was listening attentively to all what she was saying, his jaw was fixed already and positioned, set to fight, and his mind seemed to have already started planning and strategizing his next move. As Mabel finished talking, he calmed her down and sighed, then he took a deep breath. “We really do need to understand what this is, from what I have heard Mabel say so far, this is not just an ordinary earth bound spirit
Exalia’s pov.At the peak of the moment, Tara’s eyes widened immediately and her gaze suddenly flashed to the exact corner, the same place that Mabel had claimed she saw the ghost. “Oh my goodness,” she whispered, her body vibrating. “It’s here, it’s here, it’s here,” she whispered continuously. Her voice was filled with so much terror and awe as she alerted us of it’s prescence. All of us looked at one another, we were scared stiff to our bone marrows and we just stood there, having no idea what to do or say. Then something very scary and creepy happend, the temperature of the room dropped immensely and the candles started to shake as if their fire would quench. Suddenly, a very large and gigantic figure, very dark and horrible, came out from its own shadows and began to form in the corner where Mabel had seen it. Mabel shivered, pointing at it and claiming it was exactly what she had seen, “calm down , calm down,” Alex hushed her, for he himself was horrified and didn’t want u
Exalia’s pov Inspite of all the happenings, Yara seemed unaffected and she began to sing. Her voice was so loud that it became so noticeable, she was trying so hard to extinguish the darkness and give way to light once more. The irony of it wall was that the creature was not affected at all, it responded, and it didn’t retreat,It became more stronger and more menacing and horrifying. It had fully evolved into its true form that looked like some sort of humanoid from another galaxy. I was absolutely terrified and I lost my composure the moment I saw it’s eyes, they were green and blue, with a mixture of black. This was a very demonic god or whatever shit it was.“Exalia, what in the world were your ancestors doing with such a thing as this?” Alex asked me, whispering and deliberately trying to low his voice and not to be heard at all. I had been thinking about the same thing, ever since Oba made the revelation. What on earth were my ancestors doing with such a creature as this?
Exalia’s pov.Without further delay, we would begin the journey to locate the world tree, so that this madness would stop immediately. Alex took a few minutes to reset the pack before we took off, he called Marcus aside and left he and Lena in charge of the pack’s leadership while we were away. “Marcus,we’re going to have to do this for our own good,” he said to Marcus, explaining to him how grave the situation was. Marcus, his forever loyal servant listened to him attentively and promised him that he and Lena would lead the pack and govern well in his absence. “You have my wordy dear Alpha, everything will be just fine, and I wish you guys good luck in finding the world tree.” Marcus saluted his Alpha and left the room immediately. We soon began the journey to the heart of the world tree, and I must confess, it was not an easy one. It clearly wasn’t something to be taken lightly, as the Africans has asked us to carry along a lot of foodstuffs and weapon supplies. We prepared
Exalia’s pov.Yara was done listening to the ghost and I argue with one another, she moved towards tree and started to perform a ritual of purification immediately. Her hands glowed with light as she began her ritual purification excercise, and we wall watched on in awe. She started humming and dancing, then she began running around the tree and Alex and I thought she had run mad, but Kofi and Oba asked us not to worry, that it was all part of the purification process she needed to do. She began chanting words and casting spells that seems to penetrate as affect the very core fabric of reality before our very eyes. Alex walked up to me and stood beside me, he held Mabel tightly in his left hands and held me on the other hand, his touch was a reassurance that no matter the situation or the problem, we would always face it together and find a way to tackle it. Soon, Yara’s chants increased and her voice became louder. The ground began to vibrate and then shake like an earthquake, b
Exalia’s Pov. It was like a dream world and not real life, all these seemed to be happening in a dream. How could this even be possible? What kind of tree talked and spoke? What in the world was going on? At some point,I started to pray that i would wake up from the dream. An anger seemed to well up within me, and I began to blame my ancestors. What in the world were they doing with creatures like these? Were they mad or something? How did they even discover these kind of creatures? Let alone, make a pact with them, and why did they not continue to fulfill their own side of the deal? Why did they fall? It was getting late and I needed to stop blaming and take action to solve the problem at hand. But deep down, I knew it was a reality and not a dream. The water around me started changing colour rapidly, I had never seen anything like it in my entire life. I had become exhausted and tired, but I kept on pushing for my goal, I must achieve my aim.Something that was once black, wa
Exalia’s pov.The whole atmosphere turned humid and pale at the very sight of this creature. Alex froze where stood, he was way to terrified to move an inch. For the first time in my life, I felt powerless and defenseless, I knew that non of us werewolves stood a chance against this creature. There was no amount of clawing or biting that would make a werewolf defeat this creatures. They were way to spiritual and supernatural, and I don’t remember werewolves having the ability to fight spiritual beings. We existed in the world of physical matter, and we could only fight physical creatures and not spiritual beings that disappeared and and appeared randomly at will. This creature was a creature of nightmares, it looked so unbelievable. It was half tree and half beast, and it’s body was a mass of tree roots and more than five branches. It’s facial features were very grave and they bore an expression of agony and so much rage. “There, that’s the corruption itself, that’s the embodime
Exalia’s pov.The fall was so terrible and it felt like it would never end. There wa so utter darkness all around us, and i couldn’t see any one. No one would understand the fear and doubt that was going on in my head except me, I had thought that we were falling to our deaths and we would die in this forest. I thought we would never make it out alive and back to the pack. What if we died here? How would our people find our bodies? How would we be buried? Where we going to make it out of here alive ? So many thoughts went through my head and I could not help but panic. I was in so much doubt and terror, and my heartbeat was so fast and intense that I knew my chest was going to break at any moment. We had finally landed, but it wasn’t on the ground, it was inside water, I hit my leg on a rock at the shore and I had hurt my ankle. “Ouch!” I screamed, not expecting the landing at all. I gasped for air immediately, and I pulled my self together, finding out that we were in an underg
