Lenora's POV

The next morning, I woke up to the gentle tapping on the door, the sound echoing through the room. I stretched and yawned, but I didn't have any plans to leave the bed because I assumed that it was Alpha Zade. I didn't want to face him. At least not after what happened last night. I don't think I can face him this early.

“Who is there?” I asked just to make sure he wasn't the one.

“Good morning my Luna. This is Lucia, the head maid,” Lucia said with a warm voice.

My lips curved into a smile when I realized that it wasn't Alpha Zade.

I tossed off the covers and swung my legs over to the side of the bed, feeling the soft and plush carpet beneath my feet. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes as I made my way to the door.

I opened it to find Lucia standing in the hallway, a warm smile on her oval shaped face.

“Good morning, Ma'am Lucia–”

“Please call me Lucia,” She cut me off, that warm smile still on her face.

“Sure, Lucia. What can I help you with?”

Lenora's POV I stared at the mysterious door, my mind racing with different questions. What could be inside? Why was Lucia so adamant that she couldn't show me? I felt a shiver run down my spine as I wondered if I was missing out on something important. Her words replayed in my mind: “The King has ordered that no one should ever be allowed in there.” What could they be hiding? I stood there for a moment, my eyes transfixed on the door. I felt a sudden urge to open it, to know what was inside, but Lucia's warning echoed in my mind and I hesitated. Plus the door was locked! Unlike other doors which weren't. “I'll take my leave now, my Luna. Please don't hesitate to tell me if you need anything” Lucia bowed before walking away, leaving me alone in the hallway. I watched her leave, feeling a wave of frustration wash over me. Why couldn't she just tell me what was going on? I sighed and turned away from the door, deciding to head back to my room. I couldn't shake off the f

Lenora's POV My eyes narrowed as I took in the smug expression on my step-sister's face. Her blonde hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall, but her smile was more of a snarl, revealing perfectly white teeth. What a coincidence! Why do I have to see this bitch today of all days? “Melissa,” I spat, my voice dripping with disdain. “What are you doing here?” “Where have you been, sister? We have all been worried sick about you.” Her voice sounded sweet, but I wasn't buying it. She was never worried about me. It's evident that she was only trying to taunt me like she has always done. I scoffed loudly in annoyance, rolling my eyes. “Don't pretend like you were worried about me, Melissa. We both know that you are not,” The next minute, she burst into laughter. The sound of her laughter sent a shiver down my spine. “You are right, Lenora. I wasn't worried about you. Not one bit. In fact, I was even glad that you left” Her eyes were filled with malice and her hatred for me. S

Alpha Axel's POV “Don't you think you went overboard by sending Luna Lenora away?” My Beta asked just when we were returning to the pack house. “What do you mean by that?” I stopped walking and a sigh escaped his lips. “Nothing really. I just don't like the fact that you sent her away, just like that without any money to take care of herself while ignoring her countless sacrifices for our pack. That was uncalled for,” “Are you trying to tell me how to act in my own pack?” “No, not at all. Alpha. I can never tell you how to run your pack. I was just wondering. You know how much Luna Lenora has taken care of you, taken care of the pack, acted like a true Luna, but Luna Melissa is not even making any attempts to act like a Luna,” He said and I shot him a glare. “How does a true Luna act, Derek?” “Taking care of the pack, serving the people and not just sitting at home doing nothing like your new Luna. That's how a ‘true Luna’ acts,” He said, placing emphasis on the true

Axel's POV “That wouldn't be necessary, Beta. Lenora is with someone else now!” The familiar voice repeated and I turned around to see who it belonged to. It was none other than my pregnant Luna. “What do you mean by that, Melissa?” I asked as I took a step towards her, my heart pounding in my chest, even though I couldn't tell why it was beating fast. Why was I worried that she was already with someone else? Clearly, I don't regret sending her away, right? “Greetings, My Alpha,” She greeted with a slight bow and I nodded. I took her hands in mine and gave it a gentle squeeze. “Greetings to you too, my Luna. Care to tell me what you meant by that?” “Lenora is with someone else now.” She repeated and my brows furrowed in question. “Are you sure about this?” I inquired. “Yes, my Alpha. I bumped into her at the mall today.” She answered. “Wait a minute. Who is she with?” I asked. I could see the shock register on Derek's face too. Somehow I was glad that she was

  • The Rise Of The Betrayed Luna   HE WOULD NEVER RISK HIS POSITION

Melissa's POVI lay on my bed, surrounded by the remnants of my shattered hearts. The soft breeze blowing through the window was enough to calm me down on a normal day, but today, it did nothing to calm me down. Tears streamed down my face, soaking into the pillow as I replayed the hurtful conversation I had with him earlier:“The fact that I was the one who took Lenora's virginity on my bed is more than enough reason to trust her. If she wanted to cheat on me, trust me, I wouldn't have met her as a virgin.” What are you insinuating, Axel? Are you trying to say that since I wasn't a virgin when we met, I have a tendency to cheat on you?"I said what I said, Melissa" How could he say such a thing to me? I am Luna and the mother of his child for heaven's sake! How could he just disrespect me like that? I was still lost in my thoughts when the door creaked open and my mother walked in, a smile etched on her face. She had a bowl of freshly baked cookies on her hands and a glass o

  • The Rise Of The Betrayed Luna   HER DARK SECRETS

Melissa's POV I stared out the cab window, unsure where my mother was taking me. I felt a surge of confusion when I realized where we were. It was none other than the house of Elder Torrance, the Pack's senior elder. “What are we doing here, mother?” I asked as soon as the cab pulled up in Elder Torrance's driveway. We stepped out of the cab, but she just smiled and told me to be patient. “You will know when we go in, my dear!” She winked at me as she paid the cab driver. “Greetings, Luna! Greetings Ma'am” The doorman greeted us as soon as he saw me and my mother approaching the door and I nodded at him, while my mother just waved at him. “Is Elder Torrance inside?” She asked him and he nodded as he opened the door for us and we stepped inside. “Torrance!” My mother called out and shortly, Elder Torrance appeared from one of the doors with a smile on his face. “Matilda.” He said as he pulled my mother into a hug. I watched in shock as my mother and Elder Torrance share

Melissa's POV “Mother!” A startled gasp escaped my lips, but she just shrugged. “Don't judge me, baby girl. I am a woman who always does everything to get what she wants and whoever stands in the way of me achieving my goals would have to be sent straight to hell. There are no two ways about it.” She said those words like they were the most casual things to say. I just can't believe what I heard. I can't believe that my mother was responsible for Tricia's death. It was too much to take in. Didn't the autopsy report state she took a dangerous poison that killed her? Does that mean that the reports were fabricated to cover up the true cause of her death? “Wait a minute, mother, what about the autopsy report…..” I trailed off and she scoffed. “Isn't it obvious? I did what needed to be done. Those reports were fabricated by me. I couldn't let your father know that Tricia was murdered. Therefore, I paid the doctors to have it done” “Wow!” I mouthed in disbelief and she shot me a

  • The Rise Of The Betrayed Luna   WE HAVE TO KILL HIM

Melissa's POV. “Oh my goodness! Melissa!!!” Standing in the doorway was none other than my mother, her expression a mixture of shock and fury. The air in the room grew thick with tension, and even though I felt as though the ground had been ripped out from under me, I was relieved that it was my mother and not Alpha Axel. Only heaven knows what would have been my fate. What would I have said to him? It would have definitely confirmed his words earlier, that I had the tendency to cheat on him. “What the hell is going on here?” My mother demanded as she got in, closing the door behind her. My breath caught in my throat. I opened my mouth to explain, but no words came out. Damien stepped back, his hands raised in a gesture of surrender. “This isn't what it looks like, Matilda.” He said, his voice calm but firm. “I only came to say hi to Melissa and my son….” Very quickly, I slapped Damien hard across his face, thereby cutting him off from whatever he was about to say. “A

  • The Rise Of The Betrayed Luna   SEND HER AWAY

Zade's POVWith a scowl on my face, I walked in, following my Beta as he pushed open the heavy oak doors of the courtroom. The elders seated on the high-backed chairs, looked up at me. Then in unison, they rose from their seats. “Greetings, Alpha. Greetings Beta,” They chorused in unison but I didn't bother to acknowledge their greetings. Instead, my scowl deepened as I strode towards the throne chair. I sank into the chair, my fingers drumming against the armrest as I surveyed the room and their faces. “What brings you here?” I asked, my voice low and filled with an irritation that I wasn't even trying to hide. My raised eyebrows dared them to waste my time. Pedro, the council leader, stood, his aged frame trembling slightly as he cleared his throat. “Greetings, Your Majesty…..” “Skip the formalities, Pedro.” I cut him off in a sharp tone. “Get to the point. Why are you all here?” I asked even though my Beta already told me their reasons for being here. He hesitated, his e

Lenora's POV “What the hell is going on here?” He repeated in a low but dangerous voice, each word dripping with barely contained rage. Before I could even open my mouth to defend myself, Zariel stepped forward, his smirk widening as if he had been waiting for this moment. “Oh, brother, you are just in time,” he drawled. “Your little mate here was showing me how affectionate she can be. Isn't that right, sweetheart?” He turned to me, his eyes glinting with amusement. My blood boiled. “That's a lie!” I snapped my voice trembling with anger. “Zade, he's lying. He forced himself on me! I didn't…..” Zariel cut me off with a laugh. “Don't be shy, Lenora. You were practically begging for it. Isn't that why you called me here? To entertain you while your mate was busy playing the good and perfect Alpha?” I felt my stomach churned, bile rising in my throat. How could he twist the situation like this? How could he make it seem like I had wanted any of this? My hands clenched into

  • The Rise Of The Betrayed Luna   YOUR MATE KISSED ME.

Lenora's POV I woke to the sound of the door creaking open. My hands instinctively rubbed my eyes, brushing the fog of sleep. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the person who had just barged in. Standing in the doorway was a figure I hadn't expected to see. Ever! It was none other than Alpha Zade's brother. What's his name….. I trailed off as I tried to recall it, but it was out of reach. “Zariel,” Zoey whispered in my head and I nodded faintly, my heart pounding and racing with different questions. I thought Alpha Zade had told the guards never to allow him here. How had he gotten here without anyone noticing? The pack’s security was supposed to be impenetrable, yet here he was, standing as if he owned the place. “Look who we have here,” Zariel drawled, his voice dripping with amusement. He stepped further into the room after closing the door behind him. My instincts screamed at me to move, to defend myself in case he had any plans to attack me. Therefore, I shot up

  • The Rise Of The Betrayed Luna   GIVE US ANOTHER CHANCE

Zade's POV I had barely settled into the throne chair when the heavy mahogany door creaked open, breaking the silence of the Grand Hall and my Beta walked in. I was about to inquire about the task I had assigned him, to bring forth all the she-warriors, when the door swung open and they marched in, one after the other, their boots echoing against the hard ground. My jaw tightened as my gaze swept over their faces and I remembered the disrespect they had shown to my mate, their Luna. The memory of her hurt expression flashed before my eyes and a surge of anger coursed through me. My fingers twitched, itching to wrap around the hilt of the dagger at my side. The thought of punishing them for their insolence, of watching the life drain from their eyes, was almost too tempting to resist. "Easy, man. Don't let your anger get the best of you," Nathan's voice cut through the haze of my rage. His words, though soft, carried an authority that even I couldn't ignore. It was as if he

  • The Rise Of The Betrayed Luna   MINE

Alpha Zade's POVI stirred awake the next morning, greeted by the golden rays of sunlight that poured into the room, streaming through the slightly opened windows. The light danced on the walls, illuminating every corner of my room and pulling me gently from the remnants of sleep. I tried to get off the bed and that was when I realized the weight on me. At first, I was confused, but then, I realized that it was my beautiful mate. A soft smile tugged at my lips as I gazed down at her sleeping form. Lenora looked delicate in the pale morning light, her chest rising and falling in a steady rhythm. Her dark lashes fanned against her cheeks and her lips, slightly parted, seemed to invite me to pause and admire her. She was an angel, pure and heavenly, yet here she was, lying in my bed. She was mine and nothing can ever change that. How could anyone let her go? How could that brute, Axel, cast her aside so callously, as if she were nothing more than trash, broken too?? The thought of

  • The Rise Of The Betrayed Luna   YOU ARE ENOUGH

Lenora's POV I stood there watching Zade and his mother exchange relieved glances, their bond evident in the way they communicated without words. It was a connection I admired, one I hoped to have with her someday. But I came to realize that despite the calmness that settled over the room, a nagging feeling gnawed at the back of my mind. Talia's words, her venomous tone and the way she had looked at me like I was nothing more than an obstacle in her path, one that she couldn't wait to destroy. It left me uneasy. Merely looking at her, I could tell that she wasn't the type to walk away quietly. And Zade's reassurances, though comforting in its own ways, didn't completely ease my fears. “Lenora.” Zade's voice tore me away from my thoughts, pulling me back to the present. He was standing in front of me now, his bright eyes meeting mine. “You are overthinking again, aren't you?” I forced a small smile, though it didn't reach my eyes. “I'm fine,” I lied, brushing off his concern, bu

Zade's POV “What is she talking about?” My mother's voice cut through the air, her sharp eyes locking onto mine. I could see the confusion and suspicion in her gaze as she stared at me in close scrutiny. At that moment, I wished I could silence Talia forever and send her straight to the hell she deserved. She was really getting on my nerves. Talia walked forward, unaware of the tension in the air with a calm and self-assured attitude that was really annoying. “Yes, Ophelia,” she said, her voice dripping with a pretentious smile. “Zade and I are in a romantic relationship. In fact, we are almost done with our engagement ceremony. Zade can't be with any woman except me. That bitch…” she paused as she glanced quickly at Lenora, “Should leave. Her presence is not needed here, because, I, the rightful Luna is here to take my place as Zade's Luna” “Tell your mother about us, Zade.” She said as she reached for my hand, but I jerked away as if her touch burned. “Don't you dare

  • The Rise Of The Betrayed Luna   REUNITED

Lenora’s POV I couldn't believe my eyes. Standing before me was a woman I had thought I might never see again. Eight months had passed since that fateful day when I found her lying broken and battered on the side of the road, left to die by some unknown stranger. The memory of her frail body, barely holding to life, flashed vividly in my mind. I had rushed to her side, desperate to help and in that moment, I had felt a strange unshakable connection to her. Now, here she was, alive and radiant, her presence alone, commanding the room in a way I could never have imagined. “Ophelia?” I whispered, my voice trembling, barely audible over the pounding of my heart. “What are you doing here?” She tilted her head slightly, a soft smile curving her lips. Her eyes, warm and loving, met mine. “Lenora.” She said with that smooth voice of hers. “It's been a while, hasn't it?” I blinked, struggling to believe that the woman before me was the same fragile figure I had seen before. Lenora's POV The evening air was cool and quiet as I sat with Lucia on a bench. We didn't talk and the silence felt awkward. I had things I wanted to say, but I couldn't. The mean things the warriors said still hurt me and I didn't want to bother Lucia with my problems. Lucia had already done so much for me – confronting them, defending me — and I didn't want to burden her further with my pain. “See you later, Lucia,” I finally said, breaking the awkward silence. My voice sounded hollow, even to my own ears. It was better to go back to my room alone than to sit here and risk boring her with my thoughts. “Is there a problem, my Luna?” She asked, her tone laced with genuine concern. Her eyes searched mine, but I quickly shook my head, forcing a smile onto my lips. How could I explain the storm raging within me? The guilt, the anger and the grief. It was all too much to put into words. “Not really, Lucia. I'm just feeling sleepy,” I lied, the smile on my face feeling more lik
