History of the Land

In the earliest times, the Motherland was united as one. It was ruled over well by the Empress Calista, a powerful sorceress, who claimed the throne when she decended from the Mountain where the other gods lived. Legends say she was beautiful and fair, treating all of her subjects with kindness. Many men came from across the land to seek her hand, but the Empress remained uninterested in marriage for many years.

Until the day she saw him. A young man working in her stables caught her eye. His name was Anthony, and he was from a family of no consequence. Calista did not care. Against the advice of her fellow gods, she chose Anthony to be her husband.
