Chapter 77

Audrey’s POV:

“No, get away from me!” I screamed at the top of my voice as I sprung out of bed.

I jerked awake, panting like I had just run a marathon and glanced around myself only to discover that I was still in my room and on my bed, and not in the makeshift pack I’d seen myself in only a few minutes ago… in my dreams.

My lacy nightie was soaked through and through with sweat and even my limbs still shook, probably due to how fast I’d been running in my dreams.

“How’s this even possible?” I muttered, slapping against my chest and stomach looking for signs of the cut I had sustained but sighed when I felt nothing.

The hell?

I’d just awoken from a nightmare, a nightmare where I was being chased around by a fire spitting Shantel who had somehow managed to morph into something that was neither a beast nor a werewolf but was scary all the same.

At one point, she had almost killed me but I’d barely escaped when some sort of force had made me spring up from my bed.
