Chapter 2182

Author: Celestial Clouds
Adrian was enraged. Since Shaquille showed no mercy, he would not show any as well.

He stopped Shaquille’s horse. “Why can he go in as he wishes?”

“He’s of the Moon Tribe,” the guard said coldly, “People like him are welcome.”

Shaquille laughed happily. He lifted the horsewhip and said rudely to Adrian, “Step aside, peasant.”

Adrian stepped aside and tore the hem of Shaquille’s pants, instantly revealing the latter’s tanned skin. He scoffed and said, “But he’s from the Sun Tribe.”

“I…” The guard was at a loss. They knew Shaquille, but they did not know that the generous man was of the Sun Tribe.

Shaquille was furious from the embarrassment. He had not expected Adrian to do this. Fortunately, his men had not come with him. He would be humiliated if people found out.

“I’m sick!” Shaquille rushed into the city.

Matteo’s carriage followed behind him and Matteo said before heading inside, “I can prove that he’s sick. Also, he’s the one who got me all of these herbs. It makes sense

Andre had a smug look. He said smilingly when he saw how panicky Adrian was, “It’s over there. I planted them in those pots over there. I got someone to take care of them.”“But there’s nothing there.” Adrian had spotted the two pots earlier, but there were no signs of growth in them.Andre ran to the pots and was taken back to see them empty. He shouted, “Where’s my Green Plum Grass, Nico?!”“Mr. Leeroy took them,” Nico Glint, Andre’s butler, reported, “There was nothing I could do to stop him.”Andre was furious. Such a serious thing in the mere month he had been away, yet Nico had not told him about it. “I pay you, so why did you take orders from someone else?!” he thundered.Nico looked down at the ground, not daring to speak. He looked pitiful.Adrian was panicking. It was useless to scold Nico now since Leeroy had taken the Green Plum Grass. He was afraid getting it back would be a hopeless attempt.“It’s useless to scold Nico,” Adrian said calmly, “Don’t you have the Gree

He never expected a cat to run in and tip over the bowl. That was how the seeds fell into the gap. He moved the table away to prevent the same thing from happening again.“Let's see here.” Adrian quickly took out the Herb Compendium that he had brought along with him. He was elated to find that the plant had a similar shape to the Green Plum Grass. “Is this the Green Plum Grass?” he asked.
“That’s impossible,” Nico said decisively, “Green Plum Grass only sprouts in snow. My room is warm, so how would they grow?”Adrian did not care about that. All he needed was the leaf and stem. Since Nico denied that it was Green Plum Grass, he was free to take it. “Can you give me one?” he asked.“Of course,” Nico said without hesitation, “It’s poisonous though, so don’t touch it with your bare hands. I’ll get you some gloves.”Adrian was impatient. He plucked a plant from the window with the soil intact. He found two pieces of thin wood and lifted the Green Plum Grass softly. But before he co

“He’s over there.” The guard pointed at the turning. “Go look for yourself if you don’t believe me. We’re running a strict investigation, and we prohibit anyone from disguising themselves.”Curious, Adrian went to the turning and saw Shaquille on his horse. The latter’s expression was grim, and he said to Adrian through clenched teeth, “Happy now?”“Of course,” Adrian said with excitement, “You being captured is the thing I want to see most though. You’re only being chased out right now, so they’ve let you off easy.”Shaquille scoffed. “It’s too early to celebrate since there’s still two and a half months to go. If you can’t get into Debonaire City, you’ll have to obey me.”“That’s never going to happen,” Adrian said smilingly. Lionel told him that Rozi’s illness would be cured after another hour of the needle treatment and drinking the soup brewed from Green Plum Grass. “I never want to set foot in that stupid place.”“Have you forgotten about our bet?” Shaquille asked unhappily,

This would solve his biggest problem. The more he thought about it, the happier Shaquille got. The frustration he had was all gone now. He ordered his men to scatter all over to sow discord later.Adrian approached the carriage and asked, “Do you think we can save this woman, Dr. Lionel?”“Don’t worry,” Lionel said calmly, “I can stop the bleeding if it’s just normal bleeding. Get everyone to step back.”Adrian understood.Lionel had to stay in the carriage, but Adrian could save the woman if Lionel guided him. After all, this was Lionel’s expertise.“Everyone, please stay back!” Adrian shouted, “The patient needs air!”Shaquille scoffed. Adrian was trying to deceive them by treating the woman. Shaquille instructed his men to wait at the intersections so that he would have nowhere to run.Just then, Adrian recalled the Omnipotent Pill Lionel had given him before. It could last for six hours, so he thought he would administer it to the woman.“I’ll feed her an Omnipotent Pill,”

“No, that’s not necessary,” Adrian declined. Rozi would be treated soon, and they would leave as soon as they located the Abioyes. These lands would mean nothing to them then. “I was just helping.”Jim argued, “I’m a man of my word. The lands belong to you now. I’ll bring over the deeds. Wait for me here.”“I really don’t need them,” Adrian said seriously, “Nor do I need your repayment. Just bring your daughter home immediately.”Adrian then approached Shaquille. All he wanted was for Shaquille to fulfill his promise. The people were hitting him, it took the guard great efforts to get them to back down.Everyone was then shocked when they realized that it was not Shaquille that they were beating up, but a stranger. The person was dead. The crowd was dumbstruck. They had been hitting Shaquille earlier, so how did he turn into this man? Nobody wanted to take the blame. They wanted to run, but the guards surrounded them.“I’m innocent!”“We didn’t do this on purpose.”“You guys sh

This man had been following Adrian, so he must be one of Shaquille’s men. If that was the case, then he was not an insignificant hooligan, but someone powerful.Adrian turned to face Cody. Unfortunately, he had no weapons on him. He could only punch Cody with his fists, but he was worried that he would hurt the people around him.He gestured to Cody standing in the middle of the crowd. “Come here.”Cody put his guard up. He stepped back, maintaining a distance from Adrian. He was worried that Adrian would kill him. “Are you trying to kill me and run away?”“No,” Adrian replied in a relaxed manner. “Even Mr. Leeroy respects Dr. Andre, yet you dared to intrude on Dr. Andre’s house. You’re really something else. What were you trying to do?”Whoosh! The crowd scattered. Since Cody was a bad person, nobody wanted to be associated with him.Cody stood alone now, and Adrian no longer had to be careful. He rushed forward and slapped out. Just the wind from the slap blew Cody to the grou

Shaquille looked proud. He said happily while holding the Green Plum Grass, “I win.”“You’re shameless!” Rozi dared not move as there was a dagger right at her back. “You won’t win even if you kill me.”Adrian’s face sank. He glanced at Lionel who was lying next to the carriage and felt horrible. He should not have been reckless since he knew that Shaquille was not an easy man.“I feel embarrassed for you,” Adrian growled.“I’ll kill her!” Shaquille said ferociously, “Since you wish to destroy me, I will not show mercy!”Adrian felt his breath hitch. He could not lose Rozi, but if he looked desperate now, Shaquille would have leverage on him.He said coldly, “And I’ll thank you for that. There are many women all over Debonaire anyway. This is the perfect opportunity for me to get a new woman.”Shaquille squinted. Adrian was simply heartless. One would truly show their true colors in desperate times. However, Shaquille refused to accept the fact that he would lose. “Hear that, M

Adrian was shocked by Shaquille’s real face. There were tiny bumps all over and it was distorted. He was terrifying to look at.“What happened to him?” Adrian asked.“He’s sick.” Lionel sighed. “It’s a type of toxin. He became like this after years of negligence.”Marissa, who was sitting in the carriage, smiled. “I’ve finally gotten my revenge. This man tortured me so badly that I have yet to recover from the ordeal.”Jim squeezed through the crowd and approached Adrian. “Please come to my house, Mr. Adrian. This b*stard was such a pest, and we never dared to fight back against him.”“What about Mr. Leeroy?” Adrian asked, “Couldn't you have complained to him?”“Mr. Leeroy is ill, so he doesn’t have the time to deal with such insignificant matters,” Jim said pitifully, “My daughter refuses to leave if you don’t come to our house. She wants to thank you for saving her life.”Adrian looked at Rozi. They could not return to Medicis Manor yet as she was still recovering. On top of t

Adrian's expression turned cold as he locked his gaze on the steps ahead. Determination flickered in his eyes. "If reaching the top guarantees a reward, it doesn't have to be me up there. Adrian pondered his situation, his cold gaze reflecting simmering frustration. Yet deep down, he recognized that whoever had designed the staircase was far from ordinary.Creating such a formidable trial required unimaginable power.Even a pinnacle Void Stage expert—or perhaps someone of the Multiply Stage—might bow in reverence before the ladder's creator."He won't last much longer. The divine lightning in this void is utterly destructive. In moments, he'll be reduced to ashes," sneered the Holy Son, his sharp eyes gleaming with malice. To the Holy Son, Adrian's demise was inevitable.
