The other workers laughed out loud and she showed guilt. The thought that whether she did well or not was insignificant when she had the backing of the Head of State and the President. “Just watch and see,” she stated and walked to the elevator.

She got out of the elevator with a scowl on her face and the Corporals at the door were uneasy.

“Good morning, Miss Dickson,” they greeted her one after the other.

“Morning,” she answered perfunctorily and walked in.

“Gilbert will stop coming to this office from this day forward,” she concluded within her and pushed the President's door open.

To her thunderbolt, she got a hard slap from George that left her reeling.

“How dare you barge into my office? Get out,” he barked and pointed at the door.

“My eyes!” she placed her hand on her eyes and shouted in anguish.

At that point, she jolted and discovered that she had been in a dreamland.

“Oh!” she got up and hissed, “This pain in the ass again.”
