The doctor looked at George askance before he looked at the old man again. He smiled broadly at him to make him feel free with him and he smiled back. George was confused at their rapport and felt like a liar.

“What is the matter with you?” He asked jovially.

“I have been bedridden for some years. I can't talk, hear or walk.”

“You cannot hear or talk? But you can hear me and you are talking to me.”

“I did that for the first time a few hours ago.”

The doctor showed surprise and looked at George for confirmation.

“He is right, doctor.”

He pulled down his eyelids and confirmed that he had never been ill.

“Can you, walk?”

“No, doctor,” he answered sharply.

The doctor examined his leg and did not see any sign of limpness.

“Sit up,” the doctor requested and George tried to assist him but he stopped him.

“Let's see if he can get up by himself.”

“It is okay,” George said and stepped back and focused on him.

They watched him get up gradually until he sat down.

“Wow!” George exclaimed.

“This is serious. How can they be waiting for a witch?” Richard asked after collecting his phone from him. Tim smiled dryly and elucidated, “He is desperate. It is like he has employment issues.”“Can she give him a job? If she could, she would have helped herself?” Richard pointed out.“That is it. When one is desperate, they don't consider that.”“You are right.”“Remind me to call him tomorrow to discuss his employment. I wish to find out more about it.”“It's okay, Boss. They are nice people.”“You got it. Share the video with me.”“It is all right. I will do it right now.”Richard left afterward and he went to George's room to see how far he had gone with his father.“Ha! You did a good job, George by taking care of him quickly,” he praised him.George smiled and informed him, “Collins and the others assisted me,” he informed him.He took his seat on the couch and complimented them, “That is nice of them.”Likewise, he looked at the old man who was lying on the bed and asked, “H

The other workers laughed out loud and she showed guilt. The thought that whether she did well or not was insignificant when she had the backing of the Head of State and the President. “Just watch and see,” she stated and walked to the elevator. She got out of the elevator with a scowl on her face and the Corporals at the door were uneasy.“Good morning, Miss Dickson,” they greeted her one after the other.“Morning,” she answered perfunctorily and walked in.“Gilbert will stop coming to this office from this day forward,” she concluded within her and pushed the President's door open.To her thunderbolt, she got a hard slap from George that left her reeling.“How dare you barge into my office? Get out,” he barked and pointed at the door.“My eyes!” she placed her hand on her eyes and shouted in anguish. At that point, she jolted and discovered that she had been in a dreamland.“Oh!” she got up and hissed, “This pain in the ass again.”Sunday - Tim's HouseIt was a joyous morning for

He smiled broadly and stated, “He is calling again.”“Let me speak with him.”“But you have not talked to me on his behalf,” Richard teased before handing the phone to him and they laughed mildly.Tim picked up the call and Mark requested, “I apologize for bothering you, Major. “That is the question. We concluded that she was under when she wrote the exam because she was battling with her miscarriage and divorce issues.” “So, what do want?” George asked without emotions. “If you permit us, we could alter her result so that she could score at least forty-five percent …”“No, Capt. Jaja. Publish the results as they are. If the management wishes to consider her, it would be on compassionate grounds. That's my opinion.”“Your opinion is right.”“If you think so. But let's seek the opinions of the other managers.”“I will do that.”“It is okay. Meet with them quickly and let me know their opinions.”“Okay.”He watched him leave and mumbled, “So, she was married and divorced? She wants me dead because of her predicaments. We shall see.”At Tim's HouseHe had been monitoring George and was happy with his work. While in the toilet, Laura started to cry in pain until there was no energy left in her. Apart from the pain in her heart, her stomach was upset and she had to empty her rectum. To her chagrin, the sound from her anus was so loud. “Hey!” She exclaimed and feared that it could be heard by Gilbert and the visitor.Although, they did not hear the sound the stench was too strong and it filled the office. Gilbert searched the visitor's countenance and noticed that he was uncomfortable. Without words, he got up and began to open the windows.“This girl will not kill us,” he murmured. At last, she pulled herself together and got out of the toilet with an inquisitive look. She did not need a prophet to tell her that she polluted the air when she saw the disconcerted look on Mark's face while Gilbert was spraying the office with an air freshener. She swallowed hard and walked back to her seat. When she thought that she could cope with the embarrassment, the Personnel and Maintenance Managers

Tim parked across the street and began to wait.“What is my offense? When has using an old car become an offense in Canterbury?” he mumbled. While waiting for George, he called Gen. McDonald and informed him that he would be with him soon and he agreed. Nevertheless, he recalled that Laura had not called him and called the General back.“Hello, Gen. Williams. Did you forget anything?” Gen. McDonald asked.“Yes. Did you give the secretary my contact?”“Yes. I did.”“It's all right. See you later.”“Okay.”Nevertheless, after about thirty minutes, he saw George and a man in a corporate outfit walking happily out of the bank. The man showed worries when he tried to cross to the other side of the road.“Where did you park your car?” He asked curiously.“Across the street.”“Oh! At Laura's HouseIf crying could change anything, she had cried enough to retain her job.“Mom and Dad, everyone did well except me. That wicked Tim had put me into trouble,” she wailed.“Don't mention that unfortunate man here. Remembering him is nauseating,” her father blurted out.“Forget about him. He got what he deserved. I'm happy that you suffered a miscarriage and no child of his will remind us of him,” her mother added.“Your mother is right. He will not be remembered because of the evil he did to you.”Laura was aware of her lies against him but she was not remorseful and lied, “I would have scaled through the Aptitude Test if not for him.”“You are right. I advise that you look for another job since this has failed,” her father advised her.“It means we will leave this house. It is theirs,” she made clear. Her parents' countenance changed at once. He said many things and concluded with, "Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you, a new Mount Olive. It is a Dukedom that will surpass other Dukedoms in Canterbury."The other Dukes grinned at his boastful remarks and said, "Don't be too sure."He laughed softly and continued. "After ...""He is laughing like Oliver," one of the Dukes pointed out."Not just that. The voice sounds like his," another Duke responded."After we close, the dignitaries, my fellow Dukes, and elders will join me at my palace for lunch," the old man continued and confused them all the more."His palace? Where is it?" One of the eight elders asked his fellow Duke."The palace of course. Oliver's house.""Is it that dilapidated house?""Yes. Is it not better than going to Harry's house?""That killer? I wouldn't have gone ""You got it," the other admitted. The old man looked at the audience and said, "The others will have their lunch in this hall. I hope you are not offended?"He paused and waited for their reac

The question raised uproar among the youths who cheered up at once and shouted simultaneously, "Me."Just like a magic wand, the hall was electrified and the dignitaries were happy."It is good to know that all of you can. The first two people to get here will have the Mic," he stated.Despite the number that he mentioned, the youths walked briskly to the stage. In a jiffy, there were ten of them on the stage."Ha!" I want only two," he looked at their happy faces and stated. Then, he faced the excited audience and asked, "How do I drum the excess out?""By balloting," some shouted. The old man could imagine how they would feel if they were evicted and he intervened, "Permit all of them to perform.""Wow!" The ten youths shouted and appreciated him one after the other, "Thank you, Your Grace.""Thank you, Our Great Duke."He waved at them by way of response and they faced the host."Now, let us see you perform."At that point, Fabian was thrilled and wished to get back to the stage an

The Duke paused his goodwill message and looked at the big screen like the others. The film began when the elders, especially Elder Kefas, claimed that the building belonged to their brother.Such a claim did not go down well with the citizens because they were aware that they were sworn enemies."Your brother indeed," some murmured. It also showed how a fearful-looking woman was crawling and begging for her husband's corpse. "Hey!" They screamed when the building collapsed and someone screamed. They continued watching, and one of the Duchesses, who had been silent, spoke to her husband, "They did not even bother to take him to the hospital.""You are right. They are asking for his corpse because they are aware that they killed him," another person added."Can you imagine that? They were just waiting for him to die," another duchess said."And after his precious stone.""Hey!" The audience screamed when Elder Kefas and others admitted that they were praying for the Duke to die.Befor

Harry felt that he must nip the problem in the bud and called Tim again. The Dukes who must obey, began to file out of their seats. At that point, Tim's phone rang again and he decided to answer the caller before the Dukes would get to the podium. He brought out his phone quickly from his cross bag and looked at the caller.“Is he insane? Why is he calling me?” He asked himself angrily. To stop him from disturbing him again, he resolved to pick up the call and put things right.“Hello. How may I assist you?” He asked him.“Hello, Officer. Kindly inform the Head of State that things are going wrong in Mount Olive. You can come over and see things for yourself.”“What is going wrong if I may ask?”“The Minister wishes to install a fake Duke. You have to come over and stop …”“You are the fake Duke,” he interrupted him and declared. Before he could express his shock, Tim cut the call and focused on the installation. Meanwhile, to get a proper view of the podium, Richard got out of the b

Cassie was pleased and continued, “His Excellency, the Head of State represented by the Minister of Culture, the President of the Auxiliary Armory PLC, the Senior Police Officer among us, ladies and gentlemen, kindly stand up and honor the Duke as we usher him in.”Before the bewildered audience could protest, the Minister and President were already standing. The speaker picked offense and scolded him, “Watch your tongue. How dare you insult me. Have you hosted one before?”“Of course. Do you think that I am a village man like you,”A foul mouth deserves a slap. Unexpectedly, the last speaker got two slaps on his cheeks."Hey!" He shrieked in pain and pounced on the enemy.“Stop,” the other youths shouted and tried to separate the fight. They should not have bothered because the soldiers were all over the place. They whipped them mercilessly and shouted, “Go home. All of you." Unfortunately, all of them were whipped, and the innocent ones felt bad. They began to run and rub their backs at the same time.
