Avery's POV

"Avery," a deep husky voice called and I slowly opened my eyes only to see Alpha Red looking down at me with a worried expression.

"What's going on?" I whispered but he placed a soft kiss on my lips. "Alpha Red," I called, sensing the unsettling tension. Something was wrong and I could feel it radiating from him.

He seemed uncertain before finally replying. "Someone is here and she wanted to speak with you," he said, not meeting my stare.

"Who is she?" I asked, trying to read his expression a bit . Finally he dropped his gaze and looked deeply into my eyes. I sense his emotions. He was angry as I initially thought. He seemed... Happy.

"She claimed her name is Callista and she asked to speak with you soon," he said but I was already scrambling out of bed before he could finish his speech. I grabbed a robe and put it over my nightwear, rushing my way to the door but alpha red held my hand before I could take another step.
