Finally, unable to contain my curiosity any longer, I set my mug down on the nightstand and turn to Lily, studying her expression carefully. “Lily, is everything alright? You seem…… different somehow,” I venture tentatively, not wanting to overstep but unable to ignore the subtle shift in her demeanor.

Lily's gaze flickers up to meet mine, a mixture of emotions swirling in the depths of her eyes. She takes a deep breath, as if steeling herself for what she's about to say. “Savage, there's something I need to tell you,” she begins, her voice tinged with a hint of sadness.

My heart clenches at the serious tone in her voice, a sense of foreboding settling over me. “What is it, Lily? You can tell me anything,” I urge softly, reaching out to squeeze her hand in a gesture of support.
