**Author's POV**

Xavier left what he was doing and turned to face Scarlett. He claimed her lips instantly and she kissed him back with enthusiasm. His hands were in her hair, his fingers dancing at the roots of her curls where they came out of her bun, tangling as they moved further up to caress the soft, sensitive skin on her neck. He felt her moan against his mouth and deepened the kiss as his tongue slid past her lips seeking entry. She moaned louder, a throaty sound which sent heat coursing through his body making it tingle pleasantly in places that made his groin ache and his erection throb.
