Chapter 100

Maybe Damien felt he couldn't love anyone because some bad experience he had. As I listened to him, it made me sad to think that this world was being unfair to kind people. I wanted to talk to him about it but it was a step by step process. I didn't want to come at him like I was curious about his personal life.

I wanted to know because he was my friend. He looked sad when he spoke to us about it.

“Well, if you don't want to tell us what really happened, the only thing that would happen is that I'll have to find you a girlfriend.” Laura replied. She was now feeling much better than how she was earlier.

“What?” Damien asked.

“Yes, that will be my goal in this journey. To find my parents and find you a girlfriend that would eventually become your wife.” Laura said walking faster and ahead of me and Damien.
