Narrator's POV
Allyssa's awakening ritual finished before the break of dawn. Her clan members came back home safely although soaked in the blood of their victims. To where they released their appetites was a mystery to her.
Everybody slept in the whole day. The island was quiet and peaceful. Not a trace of what transpired last night can be found on the grounds. Even the tower looks like a great edifice to view.
Before everyone wakes up, Allyssa took off to her playhouse in the garden. It was mid-afternoon already. She cherishes the flowers on her way. This was her paradise. The view was still fantastic. It was well-maintained by

Narrator's POV Allyssa had been staring intently at the bed inside her underground escape room on the campus. It wasnât anything she had ever imagined. It had been past an hour since Mr. Guibert ushered her into her new room. She was instructed to strictly keep it a secret. From her room on the second floor of the building, a narrow alley was connected from her huge wardrobe down below an underground space. It was a rectangular, spacious, and well-equipped compartment. Coated with silver all over the place, she was informed about its perfection to defy against other beasts. It was modernly designed and high-tech in every sense of it. There were CCTVs around the campus she could access through the monitors on the top part of th
Narrator's POV Another five years passed on Allyssa's life. She was a month away from her nineteenth birthday. Yesterday was her last day in Chateau De Letrante as a student. All her years of stay there was a memorable experience for her. She learned so much, academically, and was able to gather all information she needed to know about humans. She'll be gone by midnight. The private plane she would be using later for her travel back home was already at the soccer field inside the campus. Her friends had set up a going-away party last n
Narrator's POV Allyssa couldnât believe it. She needs to check out the strange occurrence. If her hunch was right, then, she got a werewolf as her mate. She removed the silver bracelet thatâs lethal to werewolves. She intended to touch the wolf without inflicting pain. She was told sheâd be able to feel something strange once she touched the one she believes to be her mate. She opened the door and slowly walked out into the open field. The cold winter breeze sent chills down
Narratorâs POV Allyssa felt devastated by the thought of her mate being dead after saving her from drowning. She just had met him. Her heart crumbled into pieces when she realized she hadnât even get a chance to see his human face. Itâs only been hours ago from the time he had found her but she felt like all her life has always been made for them to be together forever. It was unfortunate to terribly end like this. If only she had been stronger and more than a human herself, she could have figured out how to keep herself safe and thus, wouldnât be needed to be rescued by him. They should have been happy by now, in each other's arms. &
Narratorâs POV Allyssa felt the freezing coldness of the surroundings. She doesnât have any idea where she was. Her mate suddenly leaps out of the hill and frantically rushes to this frozen land. They were running so fast she was seeing blurred images of the path they were taking on. The falling snowflakes made it even harder for her to open hey eyes as it keeps hitting her on the face. Although the wolf's body was warm, it wasnât enough to save Allyssa from the menacing torture of the ice-cold climate. She was still a human. And she doubted she could survive even if she was in her beast form.
Narratorâs POV She was left alone with the tanned girl who was still busy attending to her wounds. She gazed at least to the point of seeing genuine care on the brownish orbs of her lady savior. âCall me Marina. Good to finally meet you Allyssa!â, her voice that was sweet and gentle made Allyssa more resentful of her. Allyssa's voice had always been powerful and loud. Even when she had just been whispering, it would sound like thunder to those whoâs hearing her for the first time. She had once been a vocalist of a school band her classmates had organized for a group project. But she was never into ballads.
Narratorâs POV She found out Amante took off on another journey somewhere. It was apparent that he wouldnât be back in a couple of days, and it was an opportunity for Allyssa to take advantage of the situation. She put on her thickest garments and had begged Marina to let her have a look outside. She had her convinced with her superb acting as a pitiful battered wife. She lured her into thinking that she was about to snap out of sanity because of the traumatic injury she had been. She planned to get near a body of water, a pond, or a lake which she could hold out her hands and create signals to Tak
Narratorâs POV Irna left Allyssa behind and headed somewhere near the training grounds. She met her mate, Benedict Lambertine, and went inside their humble room. âThe human had awoken. She's calling out for Marina.â, she uttered as if reporting about an incident to her superior officer. The man headed towards the end of the bed and motioned her to come closer. They clung to each other with disturbing smiles on their faces. âItâs time, then!â, he whispered in his mate's ear that made her giggled childishly. They had kissed for a long time. They seemed to be having the best of their time. Suddenly, Irna remembered her secret mission. She pushed her
A year later, under the glorious moonlight, two shadows can be seen lurking at the top of Empire State Building in New York, USA. It was Amante with his mate Allyssa. They were observing the people gathered below for the New Yearâs eve celebration. Right after the magnificent fireworks display, they stared at each other with generous smiles plastered on their faces. âTime has come, my love! Iâm happy to be here beside you right now!â Amante whispered lovingly on his wifeâs ears. Allyssa giggled like love-struck teenager when she felt butterflies in her stomach because of her husbandâs words. âI love you!â was all she could answer to that. They lovingly wrapped each other in tight embrace. Amante mind linked his Beta, the eleven year old Kelvin who showed him that age was nothing but a number. âEverybody on their places, Beta Kelvin?â âAye, Alpha King Amante! W
Amante POV âTake a look at that, Maziar. Those were the human beings werewolves have been wary about all their lives. Most of them does not even believe our kinds do exist.â We were at the city center, fitting ourselves with the bustling people around. I could sense Maziarâs discomfort. He was extremely anxious. âServes him right.â The amusement in Amaltheoâs chuckle made me smile unconsciously. I turned towards the corner of a street where a street performance seemed to have caught everyoneâs attention. Maziar followed behind hesitantly. I was not bothered by the idea that he might try to escape, and I guess, he knows why. As the night started to fade away, the crowd on the streets finally began to diminish as people go their separate ways. âSee that, Maziar? Nobody notices our existence within the human populace. There was not a reason to hibernate in that barren, frozen la
Amante POV“Come with me, Maziar. I can show you the world, the real world I wanted to conquer the most.”Although I haven’t tried it myself, an idea of transporting with someone from place to place has a good impression on me.And because this was just a trial and error phase, there’s no one other than Maziar Brennan who fitted the most as my companion.I could boast my powers right in front of his sulking face and I could simply ditch him somewhere barren to die alone and miserable. The look on his face was satisfying. This time I’ve transformed back into my human form and I quickly grabbed him by the neck. There would be no place for him to but with me.With nothing on, I did not hesitate to summon my teleportation power. I know the place very well, so there was nothing to worry about being seen by another in my nakedness. The electricity travelled all t
Amante POVHaving been a quisling myself, I’ve masterfully acquired the tacit ways to get someone fooled; one, was to make the fool believe what isn’t true, and, the other was to make the truth as unbearable misery as possible that the ignorant would refuse to believe it himself.Maziar Brennan has the nerve to put me in such dilemma. If his goal was to plant doubts and mislead me, he had already succeeded halfway. My rationality was clouded with his poisonous truth, so intense that I almost found myself collapsing on the ground.I never wanted to be seen weak and vulnerable. It was degrading on my part to slump like the whole world has fallen down on me.But what else could be done?Maziar Brennan. The traitor that dared to kill me, stole from me, and challenged my ascendency was my first and only blood cousin!I have always thought I was the last of all Del Fuegos.
Amante POVMaziar Brennan remained silent for a while longer. He seemed to be on his own world, contemplating on his next move. Even his followers were quiet and did not attempt to move a bit far from where I found them when I first appeared in front of them. I kept myself at bay, taking the risk of being too exposed but not at the mercy of any werewolves who would dare challenge me.Amaltheo, my spirit wolf on his glorious magnificence, was totally intimidating and looking as menacing as possible without much effort. The silver fur was glistening at the flickering firecrackers made by the bonfire at the center of the cave. The calf they were roasting was burnt for being left untouched from the fire consuming its shrunk meat. No one cared, or if there might be, they forcefully convinced themselves to stay away and let it burn and
Amante POVIt would remain a mystery on me how Maziar Brennan became the traitor I have been before. It was the tag I used to carry discreetly all through out the years I stayed with the Irati Nardus Pack. The things I did, the secrets I hide, and the betrayals I concealed before become his to endure, and as charged to my past experiences, it would lead him to nowhere but doom. There were so many things I would like to ask him. I should have it all written down on a piece of paper so it would have been easier for me, as I only needed to read it aloud. It was because, right now, I suddenly felt stupefied in front of him. I maybe as stunned as his petrified condition which made us both silent for a couple of seconds.Only the cracklings of the burning firewood and the heavy breathing of the werewolves inside this cave was the only noise that echoes around. Rather than attacking me as I had an
Amante POV“I would go and confront the traitor, Maziar Brennan, all by myself!”My words were instantly shunned with exasperated gasps from everyone, most especially my mate, Allyssa Lausanne. She jerked out of my arms with shaken standpoint.“What are you talking about? You know very well that I would never let you do this without me by your side. What were you thinking, huh, Amante?”Her voice were filled with disappointments and disbelief. I have already anticipated her extreme reactions way before I have even got the chance to voice out my perceptions on the problems we were facing because of Maziar. There would be no other way out of this, but to patiently persuade her to comply, as this would be the only chance we got to ensure the success of capturing the rotten bastard.“Calm down and hear me away first, Allyssa!”I have never tried to use
Amante POVAs the night deepens, the discussion went on. Allyssa come before in time when I was about to ask about Omega Irna.“We found out that Irna was killed when she returned to the pack, and Maziar ordered Roman to drop her body along with the others, in the trap sink hole for our group. How do everyone reacted? Does any one of you aware that she was the one who really killed Marina?”Alpha Vincent shifted nervously before replying to Allyssa. His anxiety was visibly pasted on his flustered face.“I would start by begging for forgiveness. I am truly sorry, Luna Allyssa, but the truth was, except for Alpha Mayor who was settled at the island of Cape Narciso, everyone knows that you were not really to blame for Marina's death. Despite that, we proceeded on your unfair trial. The council was convinced that it was the best way to get rid of you or at least get you kicked out of
Amante POVIt was getting dark outside when we finished cooking up the moose meat. The whole process was filled with laughter and I enjoyed every second of it. We were like a real family having the best day of their lives together in the most common yet fulfilling corner of the house, the kitchen. As we started moving out, I scanned my surroundings. The bright moon had half appeared behind the darkened clouds. It was not very common to see stars in the sky of Antarctica. It was simply because of the harsh and most often violent climate of the weather. In here, the snow does not stop pouring throughout the year.I felt the chilly breeze from the icy squalls that dances along with the gentle wind.Mixed with the pungent and familiar scents of my packmates was the savory aroma of the roasted meat prepared by Kelvin for his sickly friend Lyka, the unica hija of the former Beta of Alpha K
