Amante POV
“Amante, your human mate is by the lake, making a scene with some packmates. Fetch her up now!”, a sudden mind link from an irritated Beta Emir penetrates inside my mind as soon as I step on the territorial borderline.
I am taken aback by the tone of voice he uses at me. How dare he! I was just trying to get ahold of him to announce my arrival thru the mind link. I never expected to be barked upon by some jerk. I feel my heating blood rushing up my face. I am completely humiliated! Though the mind link is just between us two, I could not help but be offended. He's shouting at me like some petty doggie wagging its tail at his command.
