Chapter 123: We Have A Common Enemy

He hung up and strolled towards the phone, then bent over and picked it up.

"Chris," he read the name sprawled across the screen and waited for the call to end.

Once it ended, he turned it on in hope it belonged to the werewolf who killed the Werewolf Hunter. However, the first thing he saw when he turned it on was the picture of the dead man as the homescreen's wallpaper.

He threw it to the ground and stomped hard on it with his boot, breaking it. Then he dialed Cleopatra's number again.

In a hotel room just two streets away, Cleopatra used her claws to scrape off the sizzling part of her palm. When she threw the knife, she had held its steel, which had wolfsbane embalmed all over it.

The screen of her phone, which was right next to her, lit up again. She glanced at Hezell's name on the screen for a second before reaching for it.

"I was wondering, did you forget to inform me you sent someone to the human city?" Hezell's voice came through as soon as she answered.
