MILA

“Mila, this place looks amazing,” Laura gushed as I walked into the new headquarters of our operation. It had only taken three hours to bring everything over from the orphanage to the house in the woods. The transformation was astonishing: the once-empty space was now buzzing with energy and purpose.

I gathered everyone around the table in the living room that was covered with fashion sketches, mood boards, and other things in case someone came looking. I placed the board that mapped out the plan we had for everyone.

“Alright,” I said, my voice steady with determination. “Let’s go over what everyone is doing.”

Laura placed the touchscreen laptop in the middle of the table and projections displayed in front of us. “This is an outline of both MoonCrest and Grand Mountain packhouses and offices,” Laura said, pointing to the different areas of the outline. “We have the tech to eavesdrop if necessary but we have to get inside.”

“I’m sure I can get a meeting with both,” I said, glanci

MILAThis would have been the perfect time to have a decoy I thought as I smiled and waved at Tyler and his new woman. I have never seen someone clinged to another the way this woman was and Tyler’s face was definitely a cry for help. Help I didn’t want to give. The closer they got the more Tyler’s face changed from desperation to admiration. I wasn’t all that surprised. Camile picked out a cute ensemble today. She needed to be in charge of everything and it felt good being dressed since I do most of it when I’m working. Today she put me in a thin-knit turtleneck under an oversized boyfriend button-down, a leather miniskirt paired with tights, thigh-length boots. This was a season for layers and by the look on Tyler’s face, he was taking off each one with his eyes. This wasn’t good I thought looking down at the pills in my purse.“Mila. Fancy seeing you here.”“Alpha Tyler, I would say it’s a pleasure but you know,” I replied, forcing a polite smile. There was a quiet moment as the w

GABEI heard a crash from inside the office and instinctively stood in front of Noah. Mirabella scrambled out of the office, clothes and hair disheveled. I reached out to keep her from falling on the ground and she jumped away from me.“Mirabella, what’s going on?” I asked, helping her to a seat. She was about to say something when she looked behind me. I turned to see the concerned look on my son’s face and went to him.“Hey, it’s okay buddy,” I said, embracing him. He was never a fan of loud noises. “How about you stay out here with Mirabella? She can show you how to play those cool games on my phone, okay?”I ushered him towards Mirabella who gave me a sympathetic look. I knew that meant Arianna was in a “do not engage” mood, but I wasn’t that kind of partner. If she was in pain and I could help, I would always lend a hand. I cautiously opened the door and saw Arianna pacing near her desk, phone pressed to her ear.“I don’t care if she was more famous than the Kardashian sisters,” s

MILAAfter what felt like an eternity of waiting, I was finally granted access to the packgrounds and led to the packhouse. Even though I didn’t have many memories from before the accident, this place felt strangely familiar. The moment I crossed the threshold, I sensed a pull deep within me that I couldn’t quite describe. Even Rayne commented on it.“It’s not like a mate’s bond but more spiritual,” she remarked as I pulled up to the packhouse. The packhouse stood majestically at the edge of the dense forest, an imposing structure blending rustic charm with modern elegance. Its exterior was constructed from large, rough-hewn logs, giving it a sturdy, timeless appearance. Stone chimneys rose from the roof, which was a mix of wooden shingles and metal accents. The sprawling building had multiple wings, each with large, panoramic windows that offered views of the surrounding wilderness. Ivy climbed the walls, and flower boxes filled with vibrant blooms adorned the windowsills, softening t

MILA“Just act surprised.” Camila linked me, sounding calm and reassuring. That was all I needed to know to get into character.“Camila!” I gasped, allowing my voice to tremble with the right amount of shock. My eyes widened in shock, taking in the chaotic swirls of red, yellow, and blue paint that covered her from head to toe. Almost like a mad artist used her as the canvas for abstract art. It was almost comical, but the look in her eyes told me that this was all part of her plan.“I’m so glad you’re here,” Camila said, beaming as if this situation was the most normal thing in the world. “The tour was boring but the West Wing was interesting.” She gave me a pointed look, and I knew exactly what she was hinting at. That was our destination. “I wanted to add a personal touch, you know, so people could know I was here.”“Okay,” I said, looking at the behemoth that was standing behind her. His presence was commanding, and I could feel the weight of his gaze as he assessed me. There was s

MILAI barely had time to duck behind a nearby bookshelf before the door swung over. I cursed myself for not having a scent mask spray in my bag. I calmed myself, hoping my heartbeat was faint to their ears, though theirs were moving too fast for mine to matter.Where are you? He’s getting suspicious,” Camila said, her tone edged with urgency.“Just hurry up before Alpha Gregory comes back,” a woman’s voice urged, ushering a man into the room.“Why do we need all this information about MAD Stylez anyway?” the man asked, his voice carrying a note of frustration.“Who knows and who cares?” the woman snapped back, clearly eager to get out of there. I heard the sound of a drawer opening and then closing with a soft thud. “Wait, do you smell that?” The man asked, sniffing around the room. “It’s a sweet scent and the presence feels… off.”He moved towards my direction as I flattened myself against the wall. IF he got too close, I'd have to use Rayne’s power to knock him out, but the woman a

MILAI stood at the head of the table, every eye on me, waiting for my lead. I looked over the details and dossiers of my targets, feeling the pressure of this journey on my shoulders. This was my plan, my revenge, and I had to make sure it went off without a hitch. “Okay, people. Time for Operation ‘Get Daddy’!” I announced, trying to cut through the nervous tension in the room. Predictably, the room filled with groans and laughter.“No way in hell I’m calling it that,” Alex said, shaking his head.“More like Operation Zaddy,” Camila laughed, picking up Alpha Gregory’s dossier. “In another dimension, Alpha Gregory could get it.”“Hey, I still have young ears here,” Laura complained, shooting a disapproving look at Camila. “Can we not?” Jenna muttered, her face scrunching up in disgust. “I just threw up in my mouth.”“Geez, fine,” I smirked, raising my hands in mock surrender. “We’ll table the name for now.” The laughter faded, and I felt the atmosphere shift. “So, I have a meeting

ARILuna Emily truly outdone herself for the ceremony, transforming the typical sterile conference room into a curated oasis. The air was rich with the intoxicating scents of jasmine and vanilla, adding an air of sophistication to the already lavish setting. Every detail, from the sculpted hedges to the towering floral arrangements, screamed elegance and exclusivity. I moved through the crowds of industry elites, investors, and of course, the students of the school. I offered smiles and nods, basking in the admiration and subtle envy that followed me.Wearing one of my own designs, a stunning emerald-green dress that hugged me as if it were made for a goddess, I made sure every bead caught the light with each step. The diamond earrings I chose to wear were a quiet reminder to everyone present of the life I lived–the life they wished they could have. But as usual, my father’s voice cut through my moment of glory. “Make sure you’re on your best behavior at this ceremony, Arianna,” he sai

ARII stepped up blocking Mila’s view of Frances. “It is fine,” I said. “So, like I was saying Mister…”“Sorry, Arianna. I wasn’t finished with my point,” Mila said with a smile. Before I could stop her, Frances leaned in, intrigues. “It’s fine, Mrs. Aliz. I’d like to hear the young lady’s thoughts.”There was no way she knew anything about diamonds, even if she could probably afford one now. Mila’s smile deepened, her confidence probably bolstered by his attention. “Synthetic diamonds may be popular, but there will always be a market for rarity and exclusivity–things that cannot be replicated by machines.”She paused, letting her words sink in and the crowd around us was eating it up. Mr. Deveaux’s expression was neutral, but I saw a hint of approval. Again, I tried to take control.“Well, everyone knows…”“I’m still not finished,” Mila said, glancing at me before moving back to Mister Deveaux. “Since Mrs. Aliz has something important to add that just can’t wait, I’ll get to the point

The initial stretch brought me back into the moment, grounding me in the weight of his body beneath me, the way he filled me. I let out a shaky exhale, trying to lose myself in the heat building between us, desperate to drown out the memories clawing at the edges of my mind.“Touch me.”Alex's hand slid up my side, fingers tracing the curve of my waist. His mouth found my neck, nipping at my skin in a way that usually set me on fire, but tonight, the sensation felt muted, distant. I bit down on my lip, rolling my hips to match his rhythm, trying to force myself to feel more, to shut out the chaos spiraling inside me.But Gabe’s face wouldn’t leave me alone, haunting me. He’d looked at me that night with a mixture of frustration and longing that mirrored my own. And my father… how could he not know who I was? How could he just look th

MILA“Argh!!!”I threw the stack of sketches off my desk in frustration. I could barely focus on anything with my mind going over everything that has happened. I stood up, pacing, feeling my skin starting to heat up. I just wanted a moment of peace, a moment to forget it all.I closed my eyes and tried to pull myself together, but I couldn’t forget that my dad was alive. And yet, he looked at me like I was no one–a stranger. It hurted more than I realized, and Rayne’s simmering fury under my skin made it hard to keep it all contained.“I’m not angry,” Rayne protested. “I’m horny, and staying near HIM is not making this easy, Mila.”I scoffed at her, rolling my eyes. “I thought you were strong, Rayne.”Rayne huffed in frustration. “Strong? Oh, I’m plenty strong, Mila. But even the strongest of us have needs.” Her tone was edged with a dangerous hunger, a barely-contained desire that made my pulse quicken. “You keep holding back, pretending you can handle all this alone,” she continued,

GABEMila was amazing–for the company that is. I skimmed over the reports again, marveling at the publicity and revenue her spring show had generated. Not to mention how she was able to get her clothes to smell like the actual flowers without the overly use of perfumes. If she kept this up, we’d be out of the red and above ground by next quarter. It was a miracle, really. I should have been fully focused on the documents in front of me, but my mind kept wandering. From the corner of the room, I could hear Noah humming softly as he watched his shows and scribbled with crayons. His quiet presence was a constant reminder that life had shifted in ways I hadn’t quite prepared for. It was spring break for the kids, and while most of his classmates were probably out climbing jungle gyms or chasing each other around playgrounds, Noah had chosen to spend his time in my office. Part of me wanted to push him outside, tell him to go play, to run wild and be carefree like other kids his age. But a

MILAAri flashed a smug smile, glancing around the room like she owned it. Well, I guess she did since she was Luna of this pack. “Milan, your show seems to be going well,” she said, her eyes still scanning for someone.“And you’re back here because…?”“I wanted to wish Chelsea good luck,” Ari said, her smile growing wider, “but it seems I can’t find her. I do hope there wasn't any... drama that made her leave.”“Oh, I have something that will make her leave permanently,” Rayne growled in my mind.Ignoring both the urge to respond and the sharp retort on my tongue, I shifted my focus to the one I actually needed.“Amber,” I said, sidestepping Ari, “just the ‘it’ girl I was looking for,” “Me?” Amber blinked, glancing around nervously. “Why?”“It seems as if we lost a model,” I said, noticing her reaction as if she already knew.Amber raised her chin, nose in the air. “What’s that got to do with me? I had nothing to do with it.”“I don’t care about that.” I waved off her comment. “Right

MILASo far so good. I thought, checking that everything was ready for the show. Transitioning everything to the greenhouse was seamless, especially with Gabe helping out. He was the brains behind the entire construction, so he picked the prime location for each of the models. Each location had a model staged by a specific flower that was perfectly paired with my dresses, scented to match. There was a satisfied smile playing on his lips and my heart did a flip as I watched him work. I couldn’t help but admire the way his expression shifted when he was thinking deeply, how every thoughtful "hmm" seemed to weigh the world around him. He was so in control, effortlessly authoritative, and it took everything in me not to get distracted. This is pathetic, Mila. Why are you even pinning for this guy? Just reject him already. My internal monologue was relentless, but there was no escaping the memory of that night. The moment our lips collided, the surge of heat that followed–it wasn’t somethin

MILAGabe was still crouched by the tombstone, his brow furrowed as if trying to puzzle out the same haunting riddle. I couldn’t stay there anymore. The weight of the truth was suffocating, and I needed space. Away from Gabe. Away from everyone.I turned and started toward the woods, my footsteps quickening, but Gabe was fast. He caught up, his hand clamping down on my arm once more. “Mila, stop. You shouldn’t be alone.”“I have a safe place, Gabe,” I snapped, jerking my arm free. I wasn’t really mad at him, just this whole situation. “I just… I need to get away from here, Gabe. I need space. From you. From this pack. From everything.”“And you think that hideout is safe?” He challenged me. “At least, at the packhouse, you’ll be surrounded by people who want to protect you.”I let out a hollow laugh, stepping back from him. “Protect me? I’ve never truly been protected, Gabe. Not with you. Not within the pack. If I were, I wouldn’t be here, standing over my own grave, would I?”That hit

MILAAnd neither did my body. Even running back to the packhouse, Rayne couldn’t resist brushing against Spencer who didn’t seem to mind.Rayne, stop instigating before things heat up,” I reprimanded her.“What? It’s not like he minds,” Rayne joked. “It’s not like his stupid Luna’s satisfying him.”“So what? We’re not looking to fill that position.”The moment we shifted back when we made it to the packhouse, I could barely take my eyes off of him. I never took Gabe as a domineering kind of man, but more susceptible to ideas and ‘do-whatever-I-wanted’ kind of man. Though, the way his muscles moved when he stalked up the steps, commanding his warriors had me, or rather I say, Rayne feeling way too hot and bother. Even with Alex and Tyler at my back, I could feel Gabe’s presence tingling all over me. I tried ignoring her, but the next part nearly threw me at his feet. The door to the packhouse and Beta Brian rushed out, looking a bit panicked. “Alpha, I was just about to–” In a flash,

MILAAs we approached the cemetery, we saw him–a man crouched over a grave, his back to us. The idea of a rogue risking his life to be here struck me as odd. Though, the fact I still felt strong enough to take him on was odd too. Using Rayne’ healing powers usually took a toll on us, but we were able to heal three people and only felt a little weak. Hell, I was sure we could take down a small army if needed. “His scent is familiar,” Rayne said. “Maybe there's a connection.”As I drew closer, I watched as he placed flowers carefully on the grave. I couldn’t shake the unsettling feeling crawling up my spine. My instincts kicked in. Rogue or not, we had no idea what this man was capable of. I saw Tyler readying himself to step forward so I beat him to it.“Hey!” I called out.The man didn’t flinch. Just kept his gaze on the grave. “I’m not your enemy,” he said, his voice quiet, but filled with sadness. “And the others are not my friends. I just wanted… to be in her presence.” Slowly, he

TYLERMy heart clenched as I slammed on the brakes. I cursed under my breath and threw the door open. The smell of rot and decay hit me like a punch to the gut, and that’s when I saw it–well, them. Rogues moving through the trees toward Mila’s direction. Rogues were known for their chaotic nature, but lately, their attacks had become more coordinated, more calculated. Someone was pulling the strings, and I’d bet my rank Alpha Gregory was involved. My instincts flared, the beast inside me rising to the surface. I had to get to her before more of them showed up. Without hesitation, I shifted mid-stride. My bones snapped and rearranged in the familiar yet painful shift, my skin giving way to fur and muscle as Declan took over. The rush of power flowed through me like fire in my veins, and Declan hit the ground running, paws digging into the dirt as I sprinted toward the wreckage. Two rogues were moving around her car which had been flipped upside down. Declan bared his teeth, his growl ru
