Chapter 30 – Hot Spring Catch-Up Fingers drawing soft circles on my skin wakes me from my deep sleep, my naked body pressed against another, their scent wrapping around me, making me feel safe and secured. I sigh happily, snuggling closer to Ariven as he chuckles, placing a soft kiss on my forehead. “Good morning Darling.” He whispers, his hand moving from drawing circles on my skin to running through my hair. “Good morning Handsome.” I reply with a yawn, opening my eyes to find my mate staring back at me. The early morning breeze brings the scent of wildflowers to me, reminding me that we spent the last week hidden away from my wolves and Hidden Claws lost in the pleasure the heat brought. My body is sore, my neck slightly throbbing from being teased and bitten where my mark is as Ariven and I claimed each other day after day. The hunger the heat brought on felt stronger than ones experienced in the past and the only theory I have is b
Chapter 31 – An impromptu Meeting After realizing that Lupus is after me, Ariven and I quickly rushed back to the guest house while I linked for Lace, Mika, and Lena to join us in the meeting room there. After changing into clothes quickly thanks to Maddie and Matt waiting for us just inside the building with said clothes, the four of us joined the Hidden Claws wolves right away. “What is with this impromptu meeting?” Mika asks as soon as I enter the room, grabbing a blueberry scone on my way to taking a seat. “I’ll explain later but first I need some details on the two small attacks while I was undisposed.” My reply is straight to the point and I look to Lena, the she-wolf looking between Mika and Ariven as my former mate gives my new mate a death glare. “There were five wolves each time. At first there were no signs, no scent of them. It wasn’t until Lena and I were nearly on top of the first group during the end of out
Chapter 32 – A Fiery Introduction "You sure she is coming?" Lace asks as her, Mika, Ariven and I relax on the steps to the pack house. I roll my eyes, leaning into Ariven and yawning. Since realizing that Lupus wants me for some unknown reason nightmares have been plaguing me. “Geminie is nothing if not punctually late. She also keeps her promises and promised me she would be here today.” My response is lazy, not caring to explain how Geminie operates considering she is one wolf that scares me some days. Being a trained Tracker and Alpha as well, Geminie has been my best friend and confident when I needed some advice. As well as being a fellow rejected, she understood the pain I went through for the last three years. Ariven’s arms tighten around me, pulling me closer to him as his lips place a gentle kiss on top of my head. I smile, the sparks from our mate bond tingling along my skin. “How will we know she is here?” Mika grinds out, hi
Chapter 33 – Clashing Opinions “I just want to say, thank you for coming to help.” Lace starts, directing her attention to Dominic and Amberle. I see my friend beaming at the blond Alpha Female, but Mika just has to ruin the moment by scoffing. “What, you got a problem with me coming to help Pup?” Amberle growls out, glaring at my ex who glares back at her. I frown, looking at Dominic who sends me an exasperated look as well as the both of us get ready to play referee between these two. “Yes I have a problem! No one really asked you to be here!” Mika calls out in anger. “Actually, I asked her to be here. Her adopted father was the one to come up with the theory of Soulless making an army and Amberle has been researching it with the Temple of the Goddess for the last five years.” I cut in calmly, raising an eyebrow and waiting for him to retort. Instead Lace gives Mika a warning look and to my surprise, he backs down and s
Chapter 34 – Calling in Maverick Lace returned quickly after Amberle and I discuss Crystalline being the Lost Princess, the true heir to the werewolf throne. Unfortunately, there is no way to know for sure, not without talking to her and being able to hold the Moon Strone. Of course, we kept this between the two of us, wanting to discuss this topic with Mother and Ira. After lace and a few Omegas set the table with food and drinks including coffee that I quickly down a cup of much to Amberle’s disgust, Dominic and Mika return followed by Ariven with a frown on his face. “Ira says she will have to search through the archives. They have been digitalizing everything in order to have backup copies of history, but she did confirm one thing.” He states, taking my coffee from my hand and gulping down the hot liquid. “What did she confirm?” Lace asks, worry in her voice. “Lupus is one of the oldest wolves alive. No one knows when
Chapter 35 – Kidnapped My breath comes in short pants as I push myself hard running through the forest, my head filled with the many thoughts of Lupus, the Soulless and now Princess Crystalline. There seems to be too much to deal with in one shot. [You safe Gem?] Ariven’s voice calls into our link and I slow my run to a walk, taking a deep breath. [Yeah. I needed a run.] I answer, leaning against a tree for support as I think of what to do next. [I understand. That was a lot to take in.] [It was. Amberle thinks that Princess Crystalline is the Lost Princess.] I spring the news on my mate as he has been helping me search for the Lost Princess and the Moon Stone necklace. Being as two-thousand years have passed since her disappearance caused by the First Prince has me questioning if Crystalline is a distant relative of the Lost Princess. [Any plans on returning yet?] Ariven asks after a mom
Chapter 36 - Lupus I slowly open my heavy eyelids feeling as if some one had glue them shut while I was unconscious. My body feels groggy, limbs unable to move. It feels like I had been rejected again minus the pain that had me wishing for death, but the mate bond hummed inside me even if it is so faint, I can barely feel it. [Ariven?] I call out through our link, praying he hears me. In the end nothing but silence answers my call. My senses are blocked, and my guess is wolfsbane. It’s the only substance that can harm me in any way. I need to get away, to heal and find my mate. A door to my right opens and the stench of rot and decay wafts through. Some one had entered the room. “Glad to see you are awake Future Goddess.” A man calls out. Fear takes hold of me causing me to shiver as I recognize who has walked in. The man that is building an army. The man causing havoc in the werewolf world. The man that raped me as a child because of a
Chapter 37 - Captive Blood drips down the right side of my face, a throbbing pain from where Lupus punched me, his gloves cutting my flesh. Glaring at the man defiantly I silently focus on removing the wolfsbane from my system feeling the last of it almost gone thankfully. Escape will be soon. “It’s been a week and you still dare to defy me?!” He screams out in anger. I want to chuckle but know that doing so will lead me to being stabbed with the knife held firmly in his hand. I can smell the wolfsbane on the blade knowing full well on slice will cause my progress to go back and I will be trapped her another week. “I will never bow down to you Lupus!” I growl out, my head turning to the right as his fist collides with my jaw seconds after my statement. I growl, turning to face the man before me with immense hatred, wanting nothing than to destroy him right then and there. “How about I take you right now and fuck you hard.
Hello every one who has made it to the end. First off, I want to thank you all for reading my novels and joining me on a journy of rejection and finding one's true strength. I started this series as a way to cope with growing in a bad household and feeling like I was never good enough because of how a parent treat me while also dealing with the treatment of being rejected and cheated on.Writing about Amberle, Geminie and Crystalline gave me the strength to become a better, stronger version of myself and tought me about self love and finding those who I can call my family. In the end, I wanted to share this with the world. As you noticed, I call this a series because the truth is this one lone novel is actually 3 books in one. 3 books that I have taken the time to edit and rewrite to publish on reading apps like Goodnovel as well as publish them on amazon. It is thanks to amazing readers like you that I am now able to turn a hobby into a career as an author and publish my books to m
Chapter 38 – A New Destiny set in Motion "Mama who will be Queen?" Turning away from the window as I wait for Albot’s return, I look to find my daughters playing with their dolls by the thrones, their white hair resembling mine while each sport one brown eye like their father and one prism eye like me. Walking towards the twins, I crouch down to look at Arora who asked the question, slowly playing with her hair. Depends on who is fit for it.” I answer, standing up straight and picking Arora up in my arms. “Being a ruler isn't just about pretty dresses and golden tiaras. In our case, silver tiaras. We have to be fair and just rulers to the many packs. We have to solve problems and disputes before a war can start." I answer, gently tickling her sides as she lets out a giggle. I smile at my four year old pup, placing a kiss on her forehead as she giggles some more. "I hear giggling." Albot's voice calls out, a squeal of sur
Chapter 37 – Soul Returns Homes A soft steady beeping mixed the soft steady hum of another machinery floats into my ears, waking me from the deep sleep I had been put under after my visit with Morai. I groan, not wanting to be disturbed and feeling sore all over my body. Opening my eyes to see where the noise is coming from, I wince and quickly close them due to the bright light overhead. "Crystalline you're awake!" Albot's voice, although rough and hoars, fills my ears and a small smile plays at my lips. My mate is here, but he sounds tired. I feel his hand clasps mine and a kiss on my forehead leaving tingles where we touch. Definitely still my Mate. I try to say something, my mouth opening and closing but no sound comes out. My throat is sore and dry, as if I haven’t had a single drop of water in a long time. [Lights are too bright and I need a drink please.] I send to Albot through our link, squeezing his hand gently. There is so muc
Chapter 36 - A Date with Destiny I open my eyes to find myself in a room filled with books. Light filters in from above and I look to see an endless sky. Looking around confused, I wonder if my father sent my soul in the wrong place. "Sorry little wolf but I intervened for a moment." A childish voice has me turning to face a girl about fourteen years old as she carefully writes in an old leather bound book. Her hand flies over the pages, her face filled with focus on her task and I wait silently for her to be finished. With the slam of her book closing, I take a few steps forward. "Who are you?" I ask, watching the girl tentatively. Her violet eyes are soft and all knowing, as if this girl is someone who has lived many adventures. She stares at me with a serene smile, her little body slowly walking towards me until we are standing just a foot apart and she takes in my appearance from head to toe. "I'm gla
Chapter 35 – The Royal Family Bright light forces the darkness to fade and I find myself standing in the field of moon flowers I had just fought in. There is no signs of war before me and I wonder if what happened was a dream. “I see you are awake.” A voice I have longed to hear once more calls out. Turning around, I find my father leaning against a tree, his eyes filled with warmth. I rush to his side, my father pushing off from the tree to catch me in his arms as he hugs me tightly to him. The scent of the moon is on him and I smile, feeling the comforting embrace of a parent calm me. “You did good my pup. I am proud of you.” He whispers, stroking my hair. All I can do is nod, my voice constricted as I allow the tears to flow down my face. “Am I dead?” I finally am able to ask after some time has passed. “No. You are just in the in-between right now as your body heals. Now you have some people that want
Chapter 34 – Coro’s End The Trackers quickly descend from the trees surrounding the meadow, their agile bodies making quick work in slicing open their unsuspecting targes throat before they move on to the next. The hunters have paired up with a Royal Soldier, taking turns in attacking and defending the other as piles of dead Rogues fall to the ground. All around me are furs of various colours. At one point I caught sight of Amberle's fire coloured wolf and Dominic's ice coloured wolve rip apart a black Soulless before they disappear once again. I know my white fur is an easier target as I dodge and fight off multiple Soulless at a time. I find myself in an endless cycle of dodge, claw, bite, kill and retreat while leaving a trail of dead Soulless in my wake. My muzzle is now stained black by the foul blood of the decaying wolves but sadly I have grown used to the stench after an hour had passed in the battle. Witches began popping in and
Chapter 33 – The Final Battle The sounds of muffled footsteps behind me both in wolf and fur form reminds me that the final battle is only moments away. The sky is fading from the indigo of night to a darker blue with hues of red, purple and pinks on the horizon. [Remember to keep the link open to receive orders.] I hear Albot state through the open link, a resounding “Yes sir” from the hundreds of wolves joining us in this battle replying back. I smile, already seeing how great a King Albot makes. Once this war is over, I can plan his coronation and then together we can plan a wedding. It isn’t long until we make it to the meadow, the flower buds still closed waiting for the right time to bloom. I think back to the first time I met my father, watching the scene of my adoptive mother finding me in this verry field as well as the memories I have of the two of us running around and picking these flowers to decorate the palace halls. Now on the edge of the meadow, I can see Coro on
Chapter 32 – The Dawn of War Standing in the thrown room, a white suit with a white cape draped over my shoulders, I look outside the window as worry settles in. The stars are still out but as soon as the sun rises, all the moon flowers will bloom and the final battle in this war will begin. “You okay Darling?” Albot asks, walking forward with a mug of what smells like to be peppermint tea in his hand. I take it from him, thanking my mate before taking a sip of the much needed drink. “I’m nervous.” I sigh out, leaning into his touch as he wraps his arms around me. “I know. But we have been preparing for this moment Crystalline. We will win this.” Albot reassure me. Taking in his scent, I continue drinking the tea as we enjoy this final moment of calmness. Our scouts have already linked us that Coro is on the move, an army of Rogues and Soulless following behind him. It is only a matter of time before we have to leave and
Chapter 31 - A Sense of Normalcy Throwing Amberle over my shoulder, I smile triumphantly as the fiery haired she-wolf lets out a wince. For the past two days of training and meetings, she has teased me about Albot and our matting. How she expects to have her band of nieces and nephews grow soon after the war. This has just fueled me to want to kick her ass even more. “Geeze Crysta, go easy on me.” She groans out, pushing herself into a sitting position as she eyes me. “Are you going to stop teasing me?” I ask instead. “And ruin my fun, nope.” “Then I guess you are going to have to get used to finally having your ass on the ground all the time.” I shrug, getting a playful growl from the Alpha wolf in response. I roll my eyes, holding out my hand and helping Amberle to stand. Although I have been besting the she-wolf, I still sport a few scrapes and bruises myself from sparing with her. “So
