CHAPTER 70

“the gleam in your eyes, the all so familiar mischief.”

Daisy’s POV

Things were slowly going back to the usual. Usual being, Hades submerged in work, and me hiding away in the garden.

“Don’t be mad,” Priya nervously muttered beside me, her fingers playing with the pebbles on the ground.

“What did you do?” I asked.

“Why would you think I did something?” Priya asked in a defensive tone.

I released a long breath, looking up to the skies and silently praying for strength to not hurt the wolf child I called my best friend.

“Because when you start your sentence with don’t be mad, it usually ends with one of us trying to rip the other off,” I said in a duh tone.

Priya had me questioning my sanity, everyday with her seemed like a test, a cruel game by the goddess you see how far I could go before I lost it and strangled her.

“This isn’t about me,” Priya sassed, rolling her eyes at my response.

“That’s even more scary,” I muttered under my breath.
