BLAKE'S POV

Confusion was our lot as we stood in front of the settlement that had become more quiet than it should. We stared at each other as we happend to have the same thought running through us. Without uttering a word, we dashed off as quickly as we into the premises and were surprised to hear the wailing sounds of women all over the place. My heart crumbled into a thousand pieces. The exact thing I was afraid of was exactly what happened and I just couldn't understand how it happened. Tears Welled up in my eyes until something struck in my mind.

"Where's my father? Where's sir Hardin?* I asked those who were standing close to me but they remained mute. Obviously, they had no idea where he was. I began to shiver.

"Oh goodess! This can't be. This can't happen!" I said with desperation as I went around, searching for him. The tears that had gathered in my eyes trickled down at once and I didn't make an attempt to stop it. I wouldn't know what to do if anything sh
