Chapter Seventy-four

NIA'S POV

The garden looked great enough for Silas and me. I made sure of it. I had maids that I could ask for an underground favor. In this case. It was exactly what I had done. This was my first date with this guy and I didn't want to push it with him. I was not even certain it was a date but I dared to dream. All I had to do was wait for Silas. If this was going to work, I had to come up with ways to tell Arthur I had to annul the marriage, after all, I wasn't his mate and we weren't even in love. I heard footsteps approach which pulled me from the thoughts, I turned around and found Silas staring at me then diverting his gaze immediately after mine met his. He was nervous, steadily clenching and unclenching his fists almost straggling the single rose flower he held. Didn't the thorns hurt though?

"Hey. You made it. I'm glad." I said. I was more than glad, I was ecstatic even. I had spent many hours with Elsa, and that was how I settled for this red designer. It was a dress I saved
