ELSA'S POV

I sat quietly for a while just to be sure I had heard correctly.

"Why and how the hell would Elton know that?"

"Well, it is an open palace, right? I guess he has his source keeping an eye on you. Creepy.

"It is creepy indeed. So he told you? He was cool with you knowing that he has that information?"

"He told Silas and Silas told me, everything. And I mean everything. I thought you said you set things straight with him."

"I did. I personally too him, there was no letter at work here. I had everything spelled out boldly for him, and here I am today learning that he has been spying on me." I said, the anger in me now tripling. I thought he and I were already done with that aspect and I found it hard to believe that he, of all people, would spy on me. I mean... I didn't know him that well but I knew that he was not a forceful personality. I was beginning to question that filed note. Maybe it was too much respect for a guy I did not know that well.

"Maybe you should talk to him

ELSA'S POVI guess meeting up with Elton was not such a bad idea after all, we all knew, I and Nia anyway, that it was best I dragged things out with him and then to let Arthur do it. As someone I considered a friend, I considered that as going extreme. A bit. As I made my way to the Conbraid's quarters I sighted him in the garden. Why was he always in that garden? I cornered and made my way to the garden, trying as much as possible to keep the stiff smile on my face. He raised his head and as soon as he saw me the smile that appeared on his face was as though he had just seen fresh daises bloom in a garden. That was bad."Hey... How are you doing?" He asked, shaking his head happily at me."Great, great. How are you doing?"

NIA'S POVToday was the day and the fact that I was not shitting my pants was a miracle. A big one. While I knew that, had talked highly of Summer, his daughter, didn't all parents speak highly of their children? Even though they were brats, they were all perfectly behaved in the eyes of his/her parents."Are you ready?" Silas asked me as we sat in the garden. I held on to the edge of the seat for dear life, panting. "I could have said let's forget it all but you know I can't, it's you and me in here, and she's out there, I can't call it off now because she's gonna find out and it's gonna look like I am lying or that you don't exist. What do you want?""I mean... I think I should meet her, I want to meet her. You have spoken so highly of her and I have concluded knowing that I want to meet her. Where is this sweet summer? Can I meet her already?" I joked, hoping that it would make the heavy air a little more lighter. Silas smiled at me and nodded, then raised a finger, asking for perm

ARTHUR'S POVMilk time was over quickly. Probably how the day had run past us all. I lay in my bed, thinking about the full moon and all the feasts that might happen when it is time. By that time, I honestly thought that Elsa and I would be planning our mating ceremony by now, which would have made me the happiest man alive. I wondered if there was something she was hiding because that day we spent at the dining table made me realize one thing; she loved me. Just one look from HR to me and I could see it, no doubt. There had to be something and I was going to figure it out. I was going to convince her, even if it takes spending loads of cash or fooling around just a little bit with Emily. Whichever of them as long as Elsa was mine.A knock."Come in," I called out and the door opened to reveal Emily wearing a tiny white robe. I didn't know what to say to that, my mind had been forming a word, but it seemed like my brain had locked it all up."What are you doing in here dressed like th

ELSA'S POVBreakfast be damned. I woke up that morning ready to punch someone, specifically the Lycan king and his side piece. Both of them could take a fumble to the chin from me. If it wasn't treason, it would have been the first thing I sought this morning as I woke up."So I made some inquiries yesterday and found out the address of the guy that ships the gun, maybe he could give us some information about the people that made the gun in exchange for a little cash, that is how all these dirty worlds play now," Elton said and chuckled at his joke. He turned to me when he saw that there was no atom of laughter on my face, the concern came to his face like a plague."Are you okay? You seem a little bit off today. Did something happen? Or are you developing cold feet?""Am I supposed to answer all those questions?" I asked, and he smiled lightly making me smile. "And no, definitely no cold feet. Just having an off morning and feeling like an idiot.""Woah, must be serious, okay first o

ELSA'S POV"It's gotta be the Rogues, for sure. Hundred percent almost sure." I said as we sat on the train taking us back to the castle."That's not even a thing," Elton said brows burrowed deep on his face. "I think I have heard that name continuously now for a long time to be curious. Who are the rogues and what do they want?""The rogue is more like a terrorist of these packs under Arthur's reign. It's complicated and messy, what they do to people. They are the only terrorist group that continuously attacks the people and will do anything to be on the headlines. I can almost swear it is them." I said, my knuckles crackling. My back ached from the way I was now rigidly standing. I did not know what I was going to do to them after we are sure it was them but it would not be good."Hey calm down, trickling Tessa. We have to continue with the investigation to know if our guesses are right or not. Trust me when I say it is never a good idea to attack without proof and evidence because

ELSA'S POVI had told him to go and he did. I asked him to leave and he walked out, no argument. No assurance. Nothing. I sat at the bathtub filled with bubbles and smelled like lavender and that was the only thing that had held me today. I was tired and confused and I was almost at the edge of giving up those tears that had been up my lids since today. Maybe it was a sign that I should accept his proposal and I would not. I got up from the tub and dried off my body. I stood infront of the mirror and gently touched my abdomen, wanting some sort of connection to my baby. This baby was the only thing that gave me strength and at this moment I believe I needed all the strength I could find. And not just because I had found out that the man I loved might be involved with his ex, but because I might have found the people that killed my parents.I pulled on some pajamas and headed towards my bed to lay down and cuddle up with the duvet. Maybe cry a bit and sleep. But my eyes caught a red en

ELSA'S POV"Are you sure you want to come to this dinner? You can stay here and I promise to still get you your food." Nia said, her back against my door as if that would stop me from leaving if I wanted to."Yeah, I'm going to be okay. You know why?" I asked and Nia shook her head."Why?""Because you are going to be there. I don't have to do it alone. It's just to stuff our faces and the torture is over right? I'm going to be okay. Great even. All I have to do is mind my food and enjoy a nice date with my shrimps." I said and Nia laughed. I had said that to calm her down, let her not worry about me and her shit at the same time. Miraculously, it was happening."You see the brightest situation out of everything, has anyone ever told you that? And I love that for you, it's therapeutic.""It is. Are you okay? Are you set to go? You know we could still Todd the thing right outside the window and go watch Sherlock Holmes together in my room, relaxed and all. Buttered popcorn and a cozy b

ELSA'S POVThe next morning made me feel a lot better than I had the previous night. I shook off the feeling of betrayal and sadness and decided I was going to have a great day. Nothing was going to stop me. Not even someone I loved.I decided to make a stop at the library and read some books. The halls were very big and the walls were tall. Incredibly so, I stood to admire just how a great job the builders had done. I walked to the history section as I was fully in the mood to get my mind off some things, fiction was the last thing I needed right now. I scrolled, scrutinizing. The historic district of the castle. The historic district of the foods. The historic district of the rules. Everything had their share of beginning and it was so cool. Just as I was about to move to the next shelf on that section to look for something I could keep my hands on, read, and probably finish that day, a large book fell off the shelf, coming down with such a powerful tumble that I jumped.I picked th

ELSA'S POVBy the time it was evening, I was sickly tired waiting for Arthur to show up. He had boldly asked me not to come, that I should enjoy my day but if I was honest, I swear that I had done anything but enjoy today. Be anxious? sure. Get mad? Definitely. Shiver? Hmm-mm. Get happy a tad? Sure again. I had rocked and rocked and rocked, getting so tired of waiting that evening. I was about to go west my fancy jacket and go have this uncertain conversation with him that is scary with him when the door knob turned and I froze. Arthur came in and to my pleasure and displeasure, he wore a giant smile on his face probably happy that he could finally see me, honestly after my mini-investigation in the semi-afternoon, I was not so sure anymore."Hey, well... Aren't you a sight for sore eyes. A kiss?" He asked, walking towards me in such a hurry, you might mistake me for the breath of life. He looked so good and I knew I could get easily distracted by that but I chose not to. I rose a han

ELSA'S POVOur wedding night had not been what I thought it was going to be. It was everything I imagined and more and the fact that I did not get any sleep was pleasing instead of stressful. When I opened my eyes the next morning, I could not find Arthur, I sat up, rubbing my eyes from the pleasing exhaustion at the same time. I looked around and if I was being honest just as I felt different, in a good way, the room looked different too. So different and good too. I flashed a smile to myself as I thought that of course it would look different because I was not in my room, I was in Arthur's room or if I was being accurate, I would say my room. I got up from the bed and walked swiftly to the mirror, naked. I looked at myself in the mirror and not only did I feel different, I looked different. There were hickeys on my neck and ear, it was certainly an interesting look. I wore the robe I found on Arthur's side of the bed, which was made and a white card that had little hearts on it. I

ELSA'S POVThe big wedding was in motion. I mean the planning was in motion but it was the same thing. Most people were so surprised when Arthur gave the announcement that day. Shocked to the brim and beyond while some smiled and nodded their approval. The rest just glared at me as though they would have loved to stab me with a knife if it was allowed. Shreds. And I did not even blame them, I was still surprised myself. I was so excited just as I was anxious. I still had a baby growing in me and I did not know the father and I was freaking out. I could scratch my own eyes out. Just as the wedding planning was in set, so was my running away planning. I needed to flee with my head still intact."What are doing in here staring at the wall?" I turned and saw Nia standing at the door with an amused look on her face. I flashed her a smile and shook my head slowly, thinking of what to say. "Arthur has been smiling since yesterday, I am so surprised that his jaw is not been hurting yet." She

ELSA'S POVI had no idea that there was a cabin back here. When Emily directed me here it was like she had been blabbing. I had walked this whole place and this was the first time I was seeing this place. I guess the structure of the house was weird. I stood in front of the 'invisible' cabin and searched for the most important words at that moment. I knew the words I wanted to say were that I loved him so much, that l was willing to put away the paralysis of fear that held me down, and that I wanted to be his wife. That I was going to be his wife. That was the most important one. I took three bold and quiet steps up the small stair that had its wood painted red. Nice.My stomach rumbled in fear and my heart thudded against my chest. I raised my hands to knock and surprisingly on the first attempt it landed on the door with a very faint thud, produ

NIA'S POV"I wanted it to be a surprise for you. But I just needed something to give me an edge and make you listen to me. I love you and if staying here will make you believe it then I'm staying here and I'm not leaving. But that depends on what you think of it all. I need to be sure that you are comfortable with it. I don't want to shove anything down your throat and force you to want this just because I do. Do you understand?" He asked and I nodded. A big smile on my face."Woah. I love how you put things and I love that you are doing this for me. You have no idea how much it means to me, Silas. I have never been in love and most importantly I have never had someone love me to the extent of wanting to make a big change as big as what you just announced to make me happy. And I love you too. So much." I said and he closed his eyes for a moment, s

NIA'S POVThere he was. Silas, sat at the edge of the large rock everyone seemed to like. I smiled lightly at the cliche of happy things. I had searched everywhere for him, now that I think about it, why did I not search for him here before going to their tent area? Silly of me.I walked further into the space and I saw a striking blonde woman, who if I was being honest, I had nothing on. Why was Silas talking to this woman out here in the love garden? And why was I suddenly comparing this woman whom I did not know to myself? Insecurities were never a friend. Silas turned to look at them and immediately stood up, putting a clever distance between the both of them as if they were close. They were not. So why was he tripping?"Hey! Um... Hi." He said, grasping for words to say. I gave him a tight-lipped smile and nodded to tell him that I had heard the first greeting and he did not need to repeat it."Hi, if you have a company that would stay long then maybe I should come back, I was th

URSULA'S POV"Woah, mum. You are not selling my sister and definitely not the same man you sold me off to. I will not let that happen. If you need the money do bad and Dad can't control his silly problem and you love him so much, why don't you just go get married to Arthur yourself." I said they both gasped. Okay even though I was angry at that moment I had to admit it was nice to actually get a reaction from my father. He was such a doll sometimes. But apparently, he was not when he was being irresponsible with his money, ordering the servants and selling off his children."You dashed everything I once wanted for myself a few years ago and I am not going to let you do that to Sasha too. You do not even ask us what we want, or what we need. You just know that you have to get your money up and running. Did you ask her what she wanted?" I asked and my mother gestured behind me."She's right behind you and you can use your ears to hear that she was okay with it." I turned around and saw

URSULA'S POVWe all just sat there, no words being said. I guess maybe we were all basking in the memory we had spent in the house. I could not just let the house sell, it was unacceptable, that was where I had my first steps, and said my first words. I opened my mouth, then closed it again. Convinced that even if words were going to come out it was going to be all memories and not help anybody in the current situation we were in. A question finally came out."Um... So how did this happen and why was I not informed sooner?" I finally asked, tired. My family had no perks, only disadvantages. It was maddening and annoying."Well, we thought we could fix it on our own and still think we can fix it, we just need time and six days is no time." My mother said, looking over her shoulders at my father who still had his back on the chair. I wondered how he was still calm enough after all this bad news, it was his farm and he had a lot of land to use. I mean I would not go hungry, cannot. I was

I wore a big smile on my face because that was enough proof to know that the story I had given her had worked. I wanted this meeting to have a very successful outcome and I knew that could not happen if the two key people involved could not deal with each other, it would not be a success. It would be a big disaster and I did not want that. Now that that seemed settled, I looked around, my eyes searching for Andrew. It was a dreaded day for Arthur, for everyone, but I bet he was with him. The event had already begun and the both of them were still not seen so I could bet that some pep talks were being carried out. There were a lot of faces here, a lot of young faces eager to be the lycan king's wife if only they knew that it was no fairytale but rather it was a nightmare I would bet my ass that they would not be here right now with big smiles on their faces.
