Chapter Hundred and Twenty-one

The minute I said that Silas frowned and then scratched his head like he had an idea why I was there. Elton just looked on.

"Is this for what I think it is?" Silas asked me, avoiding my gaze the whole time. Why was he acting like I was some sort of assassin on his tail to murder him? I had just asked a question and he was already avoiding gazes.

"It depends on what you think I'm thinking." I threw back at him, my gaze that was on his face never wavering.

"Well... I... Erm... Okay. I guess we can have this discussion. Elton, can you please give us some privacy?" Silas said to Elton, who nodded and walked into the garden that was not too far from where we stood but far enough to keep him from hearing us. Bullshit, the walls were not sound proof so I could bet my entire savings
