Chapter Eighty-six

ELSA'S POV

I and Nia laid there, no one said anything. I even had to touch my ribcage just to be sure that I was still breathing. Oh yeah, I was. Nia looked at me then cleared her airway and started getting up to, obviously, flee the scene. There was something unspoken there and if I was being correct I could also sense a smile coming on.

"What is with that look?" I whispered, not because I didn't want Arthur to think I was doing something wrong, I wasn't. But because I knew I didn't want to talk about him. And by that unresolved angst, I just felt, I knew very well that I should have finished that conversation I had going on with Nia.

"You sound ridiculous whispering right now. And also, why the hell is he on your doorstep by this time? I thought you said you both are not having sex?"

"What? A man shows up at your doorstep late at night and you're indulging in sexual intercourse with him? What kind of person do you think I am."
