BLOOM’S POV

A few days had passed and I hadn’t seen Grey at all. It seemed like he was avoiding me, and that was fine with me since I wasn’t ready to face him either. The embarrassment from his words the last time we saw him was still present.

I was going to push that out of my mind. My life had become more interesting now that I had people who cared and looked after me.

Kate had already gotten acquainted with the guys, and my guess about Greg stealing over everyone’s heart had been accurate. Anytime he was around and not at the Pack school, he was in everybody’s hair.

Also, I later found out that Ray was one of the strongest warriors from Richmond’s Pack. He had become the new Beta after Grey’s former Beta betrayed him.

The Packhouse had a different kind of vibe to it now as different people came and went. It was fun, but also overwhelming. Quite a number of people stopped by to check on their Luna. It was always a short visit, but it made me marvel at how cool Kate was. She was a

BLOOM’S POVI tiptoed to my room, trying to stay as quiet as I could. I could feel Grey was inside his room already and didn’t want to wake him up as I felt that he was already sleeping. When I slipped into my room successfully, I leaned against the door, my heart was beating very fast. I didn’t want to have to explain to him where I was coming from this late at night. My clothes were sticky and sweaty, so I took them off and threw them on the floor, and then I picked up my phone from the bed to check the time. It was just past ten. I already figured out most of the features of my phone, but using it was still a little bit strange to me. I had downloaded a bunch of fashion design videos on YouTube.I had a thing for it since I was young, but most of my ideas remained in my head as I didn’t have a way of implementing them. I had one sketch pad back in my former Pack given to me by Lydia, but I hadn’t been able to take it with me. The designs were still in my head, but I hoped no one

GREY’S POVSitting in the dining room to eat was something I rarely did. My food, anytime I requested it, was brought up to my office or room, so I had no reason to go to the dining room except during special occasions. But, I went there today. I tried not to give the people that were serving me the stink eye. It wasn’t their fault that they were surprised to see me there. I also surprised myself by going there. Why did I go there? I wasn’t sure either. A few moments after I started eating, Richmond and Kate walked into the dining room.“Look who’s here today,” Rich mocked as he settled into the chair next to me. I rolled my eyes at the realization that I had to listen to his annoying voice while I was eating. After what happened this morning, I had a bitter taste in my mouth, even as I felt bad for what I did. She had helped me, but I repaid her kindness by being a bastard. I don’t think she even realized how much she helped me. I’d been having a rough time recently because of lack

BLOOM’S POV All eyes were on Grey as he stormed out of the dining room. Or did he stalk out? With the anger seeping out of him, I would say he stormed out. “Are you okay, Bloom?” Ray’s voice brought me back to the present, and I looked up to meet the gaze of everyone at the table. Richmond wasn’t there, so he must have left while I was lost in thought. “What did you say?” I heard him the first time but acted like I didn’t to shake their gazes off my skin, still, they stared at me like they expected me to be rattled by my mate’s outburst. I from weeks ago would have been shaking and might have even burst into tears, but the present me, especially me from this morning was getting bored with his antics.“Are you okay?”“Yes, I’m fine. Why do you ask?” I deflected by answering his question with a question. Sure, I was meek, sometimes slow, but I wasn’t stupid that I didn’t know they knew what was going on. From the way I was stick-thin, to the way I covered up, to the way I stammere

BLOOM’S POVThis was bad. He shouldn’t have caught me here. What should I do? What should I say? Those thoughts ran through my head even as I tried to keep the panic I felt from showing on my face.“I said, what the fuck are you doing in my room?” He growled, and I rolled my eyes. Turned out I didn’t need an excuse, I just had to reciprocate his attitude. “I heard you the first time.” A frown appeared on his face. “Then answer the damn question.”There was no need to argue with him, I realized, I should just thank him and be out of his hair, possibly evading the question of what the fuck I had been doing in his room.Tilting my head at him, I said, “Thank you.” Keeping it short and simple was key. I could tell that he was surprised by the way he slightly moved back. “You’re thanking me? For what?” he asked, and I took a few seconds to think. Did he really tell Tina to make me healthier meals? Or did she lie?“Tina said you asked her to make healthier meals for me. I’m saying thank

GREY’S POVThe second she walked into her room, regret washed over me. My wolf growled at me. “I warned you not to say those things.” I ignored him and shoved him into the corner. Yes, he did tell me, but I still ran my mouth. Her expression from a few minutes ago flashed into my mind, and the regret hit me harder. Fuck. I really should have kept quiet. Her face had been so blank, and her body still, and if I hadn’t seen her eyes I would not have known she was rattled by my words. A few maids walked past, all bowing, and I jerked from my position, realizing I was standing out in the hallway with my mouth slightly open. I gave a wave of my hand, acknowledging their greeting, then entered my room and closed the door. Leaning against the door, I surveyed the room. Nothing was out of place, but as I walked deeper into my room and inhaled, I could still smell her scent. It was so sweet and I felt the urge to hold her in my arms and kiss all her bruises away. Where did that come from

BLOOM’S POVThe moment Steph, Kelvin, and Caleb saw me, they each shook their heads at Ray who stopped talking immediately, and clenched his hands in a fist, and turned around to face me.So as not to not make things awkward, I didn’t give any indication that I had heard them, but smiled in greeting and said hi. I gave a hug to Steph and got a belly rub in return, then a side hug for the rest of the men because I wasn’t comfortable fully hugging them. “Thanks for waiting for me. I took a little time because I couldn’t decide what to wear,” I said to Ray, and his eyes scanned my clothes.“I think you did well with that.” I blushed at the appreciation in his voice. “You look really good,” Steph said. “Tell me, what did you do with that horrible turtleneck?” An awkward silence followed after Steph’s question. “I mean,” she laughed nervously, “where did you find those leggings? They’re to die for.” “‘They’re to die for.’” I laughed when Caleb started to mimic her. “In my wardrobe,”

BLOOM’S POV“I don’t remember you,” I said, and he roared with laughter, sounding like this was entertaining to him. “Well, I remember you. You’re the one Stephan rejected,” Leo said. A flash of that moment replayed in my head, and I felt a wave of fear rush through me, but I immediately subdued it. I wasn’t going to be that scared girl anymore. Then with a smirk, I said, “Oh well, it’s his loss. My mate is better than he is in so many ways.” “How would you know? Did you do Stephan and then Grey?” He asked, a leer on his face. I rolled my eyes. I walked towards my mate, swinging my hugs slightly but obviously. Standing beside Grey, I wrapped my hand around his right arm. “That’s very disgusting and uncouth of you, but again, I’m not surprised. What else would one expect from the ruler of the rogue wolves?” It was obvious by the sneer on his face that my words bothered him. “Looks like you’ve met the love of your life, Gray. She has a sharp tongue like you do. Or maybe it’s al

BLOOM’S POV“I was defending you, but let’s put that aside. Are we throwing blame now? Then let’s talk about what you were doing there in the first place. Ray and Rich said you were expressly told not to come near that area, and to stay in your fucking room, so tell me. Defend yourself. Let’s hear your excuse.” Grey had a fierce look on his face and I took a step backward. He didn’t notice this as he was too blind with anger to realize that he was scaring me. “I don’t have to explain myself to you, Grey. Remember, you said I shouldn’t cross your path?” He scoffed. “So you avoided me and walked right into danger. I had to kill someone now.” I shrugged. “That’s on you. He attacked you because you pummeled him into the ground.” “Look, I don’t want to argue,” he began, and I chuckled. “Of course, you don’t because you’re not winning the argument. Look, I just want to lie down. Seeing all that blood made me queasy.” Then I started to leave, but he grabbed my wrist hard. “Where are y

GREYSomeone was crying. Whoever it was, I knew it was because of me, so I tried to open my eyes to see what the matter was, but when I felt a wave of pain go through me, I held my breath and waited for the pain to subside for what seemed like an eternity. Then I tried again. This time, I was successful. Bloom. She sat in a chair beside me, her head in my hands as she sobbed. “Bloom?” My voice didn’t sound like me. It sounded gravely and thin. Her head lifted as she gasped. I saw the moment her expression changed from worry to relief. “Grey? You’re awake?” I gave her a small nod and didn’t say anything. I held her hand, and I knew she understood me. “What about the Pack? And everyone?”“They’re all safe. You defeated our worst enemies,” Bloom said and I nodded just as the memories of the battle flooded back to me. The pain of Orion’s clawing through me came back. I didn’t even realize how Orion’s presence had been weighing heavily on me, but now that he was gone, I was finally able

GREYCapturing the children and women while I was still here? What sort of a sick plan was that? It seemed like I’d been too easy on Orion for him to think he could get away with that. Well, he had another thing coming. “Are the weapons ready?” “Yes, Alpha!” My army of wolves chorused. I got up from where I was and led them toward Orion Pack. They planned to evade ours anyway, why shouldn’t we do the same to them? When we arrived, not only were Orion’s wolves waiting, but also the rogues. “You could have chosen to do this in a better way, you know that Alpha Orion? You just had to get on my nerves.” I looked at the wolves and they didn’t waste any time in lighting the Pack up. We were going to be exactly like the rogues this evening and no-fucking-body was going to stop us. “Do you think I’m going to give in?” Alpha Orion roared from his balcony, his eyes glowing red with rage. “We will fight back!” His wolves were taken aback by his sudden change in attitude, even the Pack members

BLOOMGrey and I followed after Ray to find out what he was talking about, and were met with a shocking scene. He led us into a room, and as he closed the door behind us. Other than a lamp on the table, it was completely dark. But that wasn’t the surprising part. That would be Angie tied to a chair. Turning sideways slightly to look at Grey, I thought, What plan did they have up their sleeves this time?“I just found out the truth,” Ray said. “The child in her womb isn’t yours, Alpha Grey, she has only been trying to get you to marry her.” It was a blatant lie but Ray had no idea we knew the truth. Where was he headed with this? I looked at him briefly before fixing my gaze back on Angie. What did they have up their sleeves now?“She lied about you getting her pregnant so her child can take ownership of your seat before anyone else’s,” Ray added, and while I already knew this, it didn’t stop me feeling angry. Leaning forward, I grabbed her jaw, looking her in the eyes. It was then I

GREY“You know who this letter is from, Grey. I gave you an option of leaving your Pack peacefully, I guess you have turned down my kindness. Now I have no choice but to show you what I can do. Need I remind you that before now I’ve known and watched you for years? It goes without saying that I know your moves, every single one of them. I’ll invade your Pack relentlessly. Take this letter as a warning of what is to come. You’ve been a thorn in my side right from the time I used to be under your command. I made plans I was sure would completely destroy you and your Pack. How you survived remains a miracle… No, I’m certain your pretty little mate helped you with that. I should have stabbed you harder that day in the forest. Anyways, as you might already know, Leo, Stephan, and I plotted your downfall with the help of the Alpha of Orion. He supported us, giving us the power we needed to destroy your Pack. Now, I won’t back down until you’re six feet below the earth, Grey, and this time

BLOOMAs I shared what I heard with Grey, he stared straight at the wall with an expression of fury. Who could blame him for that reaction when he just found out the woman who claimed to be carrying his child, a child he had been fully prepared to accept, was lying to him? And not just that, but the actual father happened to be his Beta, Ray. “I knew there was something off about him.”I sat next to him, placing my hand on top of his. “Please before handling this case, you need to first be calm.”He turned to me with an angry look, but I knew it wasn’t directed at me. “He’s trying to have you by all means. You don’t expect me to sit and watch.”“We have more pressing matters at hand, Grey. They might have plotted against you, but they’re not dumb to believe they don’t need you. Think about it. The issue of the rogues is still on the ground so they can’t act without thinking. They’ll have to wait for the right time,” I explained. “Let’s also be strategic. I understand how you feel. I a

BLOOMUpon getting back to the Pack with Grey, I had reached the top of the stairs when I heard a feminine exclamation and turned around to see Angie clinging to Grey like a damsel in distress. Grey’s face was pulled back as he looked at her with disdain. Physical touches in general made him uncomfortable, so to be touched by someone he didn’t like must feel highly unpleasant.“I’ve not been feeling good these days, and still, you don’t pay me any attention. Do you still not believe the child I’m carrying is yours?”My hands squeezed into fists by my side and I gritted my teeth as I watched Angie caress Grey’s arms while batting her eyelashes. I was about to walk down the stairs and pull her away from him when someone caught my arm. Looking back, I saw Rich shaking his head at me. He seemed to know that if I got close enough to her, I might kill her. I couldn’t stand watching her do that to him. Just as I wanted to pull out of Rich’s hold, a growl echoed in the air and everything wen

BLOOMThe next morning, Grey and I set out for Montrose Pack after receiving news of a rogue attack. Upon our arrival, I was shocked at the sight we met. The rogues' attack had completely brought down the place. They left nothing standing. They had left so many survivors. Tears filled my eyes as I looked around. While this place had never been a home to me, it was still where I grew up and spent most of my life in, so it left me feeling broken. As I got to the place where the Alpha’s mansion once stood, my vision became blurry with tears. Most of the building had been reduced to debris. Remembering that my father used to keep a diary, I shifted into my wolf and sniffed the ground, searching for the book in the ruins. I moved through the rubble in my wolf form, my heightened senses picking up on scents, most of them being my father’s. As my paws trod upon the scorched ground, I spotted a fragment of charred wood that was etched with familiar markings and knew it was a scorched corner

BLOOMMy mind was on Angie. There was no telling what she was up to, and as much as I wanted to keep an eye on her every moment, I didn’t have any time for that. My gaze returned back to my sleeping child. My precious daughter, my Angel who I wanted to protect. I reached out to touch her toes when the door opened and Grey walked in. The weariness on his face and his tousled hair all pointed to the fact that he’d been up all night, but somehow even with all that, he still managed to look so attractive. After kissing me on the lips, he put out a finger to touch our daughter’s face, before sitting next to me on the bed and resting his head on my lap. “Did you find anything out last night?” I asked as I ran my fingers slowly through his hair. “Hmm.” Grey nodded. “Ray got more information about the rogue camp, and it was just as I thought. It’s clear now that Lewis is the leader of the rogues. We can’t just sit back and watch without doing anything. We need to strategize a way to capture

Bloom's PovGrey looked like he was a second away from ripping her head off. I was very sure that was the exact look I had on my face as well. I had people behind me anyways, that stopped me from making any further movements towards her. Like what the fuck?! I glared at her and could just imagine throwing her to the wall without caring whether or not she had a child. But I had to control my urges before I did something I'd regret. My wolf growled in my head. I pushed her back so she wouldn't take control of my body. This fool was trying to get my man to look at her. And here I was doing nothing about it. I growled while the guards were ready to hold me when the need be. They knew I'd kill her without effort. She stayed there staring innocently like a damsel in distress. What the fuck was she even thinking. That she can take my place? As what exactly? The Luna?"Get the fuck out of this place Angie," Grey growled. Even his wolf threatened to show up if Grey did nothing about this. But
