Chapter 29

Third POV.

Josiah frowned as he had not imagined that would be the case. Now, he understood why Leila said she believed him yet looked at him in suspicion. Looking at the two girls and feeling everyone's eyes on him, he didn't feel so comfortable as he knew that he was in trouble since he knew that they would not believe him despite what he said.

He cursed inwardly as he never thought that his flawless lie would lead him into another deep of shit. He looked at Elvis' daughter with hatred.

"As I said, my adoptive parents found it in the basket that I was laid in as an infant after being picked up," he said calmly after a while.

"Does that mean that you are a garbage that was picked up out of the trash? Or was it, dustbin?" Marcus said mockingly as he sized the old man.

Josiah glared at him since he had never thought that the young man would be so arrogant and oppose him. How he wished that he didn't owe anyone anything making him not go through the humiliation he was in.
