Richard’s POV:

I was still running through the forest. My heart was beating fast, almost in time to the throbbing of the Alpha bond.

Hold on, I thought desperately, as I felt another sharp pain in combination with the throbbing.

Your Alpha is coming to help you.

I continued to move deeper and deeper into the forest, trying to trace out the location of my injured pack member.

I still had not even gotten to think about who or what might have been the cause of such pain in them.

But I would find that out, as soon as I found them.

I paused, trying to figure my way out from left to right in the darkness of the night, when a piercing scream shattered the silence that had been all around me.

At the same time, the pain doubled in intensity, almost making me bowl over with my hand over my heart.

“Damn it,” I growled out loud, before then looking up at the sky, devoid of stars and the moon in its waning crescent. “Where are you?”

It was then that I heard it; my ears pricked up at the sound of

Arielle’s POV:What the hell was wrong with me?I huffed, checking the patient’s files again. Devin, Richard has called him. And he had been found in the forest, bleeding almost to death.Richard had gotten him here in time, and it was only that which managed to save the life of this warrior. I had been able to stop the bleeding and stitched up his wounds. Luckily from what I could tell there was no internal bleeding, so I had faith that our injured pack member would be healing quickly in no time at all. However, that was not what was making me feel this way.Choosing to take a seat in the room where Devin was laying down at in order to monitor his condition, I began to play with my hair. It was a nervous habit that I tried not to show out to people. But now that I had barely even had any rest over the night and previous day, my inhibitions were much lowered. My mind was only on one thing - how much I had wanted Richard, our Alpha and my destined mate, to kiss me. My face warmed and I

  • The Rejected Doctor   Chapter 57

Richard's POV:"Why the effing hell would you wake me up at this time?!"I watched as my annoyed Beta ranted as he got dressed, and I fought within me to not snap at him. After all, Darren was right; I had woken him up in such a quiet time of night, just after midnight.I also suspected that he had to leave behind a disgruntled Lilian in bed. However I did not wish to apologize to him in any way."Would you hurry up then?" I finally shot back at him, my body tense. Ever since I had taken Devin to the clinic, I had been unable to relax. My own pack member and warrior was injured brutally, and I had just barely been able to save his life, with the incredible help of Arielle."You still haven't told me what happened," Darren grumbled as he finished lacing up his shoes and was walking towards me. We both left the living room of his own in unison, and stepped out into the cold dead night. "And why the hell are you wearing that shirt?"I looked down at myself, already knowing that I would f

Richard’s POV:“Mmm, Richard,” her voice had said my name in a breathy sigh, and I could not help the instinct that jumped out at me. I wanted to kiss her.Still, i had to be careful not to display too much of how aroused i really was. In fact, a huge part of me was angry at Darren so suddenly for being in the room, stopping me from reacting to her the way that I wanted to.My annoyance rose when I heard a chuckle from behind me - my best friend intruding on what was clearly a private moment. I made a mental note to get him back one of these days, before I then brought my hand up to lightly touch Arielle’s arm.“Wake up, sleepyhead,” I said to her, careful to keep my voice low so as not to startle her. “I’m here with Darren, love.”The endearment that was so new to me just slipped out of my lips like they belonged there. I couldn’t take it back, and I noticed how her eyes opened slowly, blearily looking into my eyes.It was an intense gaze she gave me, even as she was tired and clearl

  • The Rejected Doctor   Chapter 59

I was restless now; despite being very tired, that my eyes hurt and felt strained, I was pacing up and down the hallway of the clinic, passing the door of the room that Devin, the injured pack member, currently was. Richard and Darren were also inside, and that was what made me feel this anxious. Were they interrogating him?I brought my hand up to my mouth to stifle a yawn.I didn’t know whether or not Richard thought that Devin had done something that caused him to be injured. No matter what, I felt very protective of my patient, also because he was a pack member. I had felt his pain through the pack bond that I had in my chest. No matter what, his safety was somehow important to me.I was so endorsed in my thoughts that I didn’t even notice when the ward doors opened. I only noticed when the footsteps sounded in the hallway and I turned my head around, feeling the strands of my hair that had come out of its ponytail fan my face. I used my hands to tuck the strands of hair behind my

Richard’s POV:This was the night of shocking news it seemed, whether it was welcomed or not, and another surprise had just come out of my mate’s mouth that I certainly needed the time to process.I was speechless after she had finished her long explanation. At first when Arielle had looked extraordinarily serious, with her brows furrowed and her lips pursed, I had thought that she was about to tell me something grave. But to my surprise, it wasn’t a situation of life and death matters. Instead, she was telling me something that I had definitely not expected to hear.By the time she finished, I was thinking on what to say.“Arielle, you mean to tell me that you have these… abilities,” I began to speak and noticed how her face now suddenly looked so fearful. What did she think I was going to do to her?A wave of protectiveness rushed through my body and I touched her arm lightly.“Angel,” her eyes snapped to me. “Talk to me.”“I told you, Richard,” I was surprised by the tone her voice

Arielle’s POV:I think I was giddy with happiness. Even though I was tired, it was so easy for me to act so energetically, having only gotten about three hours of sleep the day before. It was now last 8am in the morning, and I was checking up on the other patient files that my assistant had so graciously arranged for me. We were not going to have too many patients, it seemed by the lack of a large piling of folders. But it was the thudding of the mate bond within me, and the feeling of assurance I felt through it, that made me feel ever better.Richard did not reject me.And I loved him.It seemed like everything was moving along for the better, now that I had finally gotten to tell him about my abilities and all that had come along with this mate bond. This was truly the first time in which I felt like I belonged in a pack. When I was in my previous pack, it always felt as if I had to work ten times as hard to prove myself, for the time I was a young pup until I left. But this was dif

Richard’s POV:It was certainly not a restful night for myself or for Darren. After I left Arielle, the two of us walked down the steps and out into the streets.“So,” Darren began to say and I could have glared at my best friend even through the darkness of this night, because I could tell by his tone that he was about to be mischievous.“Whatever you’re about to say, please drop it,” I told him, sounding strict. “Besides, we have to check out the forest. There must be tracks somewhere leading to where Devin had been attacked by this rogue.”“You’re right,” his tone suddenly turned serious. If there was anything I knew Darren for, it was that he cared so much about our pack members, just like I did. “Do you think it could be him?”“You mean Leon,” I replied after a few seconds. By now we were reaching the edge of the forest.I was not a fool; by this point I definitely knew that there was something connecting the attack of my pack member to that of Leon’s Rogues being present and cir

Arielle’s POV:What the hell, I thought to myself. But of course, Richard heard it too and responded with a chuckle.“Damn it,” I whispered out loud in the comfort of my office.A mind link. If being mates and suddenly developing these abilities was not enough, we just had to have one of the uncommon abilities for mates to share.I knew what it was of course, but I had never met anyone that had one at such a young age. Only fictional stories and historical tales of couples mates, especially those that ended up having a bond so strong that they ended up dying within minutes of each other during their old age. That kind of bond was hard to find in an instant. Especially with younger couples, such as Richard and I.It was usually taken as a sign of commitment and the deepest form of bond that mates could share. And that scared me. Of course I loved Richard, so much that it made my chest ache at the thought of it. But I wasn’t ready for such a thing. At least, I thought I wasn’t.I hated

  • The Rejected Doctor   MY NEW BOOK!

KELEIGH’S POV My father’s claws gleamed in the light of the overhead lamp of the room as he raised his hand in the air, preparing to swipe. My breath caught in my throat as I pressed against the wall he had roughly pushed me into in a rage after he had caught I and Jake in the act of canoodling. He roared in fury as he bore down on Jake. I could understand why he was so enraged. Jake was the Alpha of the Moonlight pack, and my father was the Alpha of our pack, the Wesselton Pack. Both our packs have been in a bloody feud for so long that no one even remembered how it started in the first place. Countless wolves from both packs had died for generations over this feud. And Jake was about to be the next person. “My daughter!” My father growled at him. "How dare you!" My heart galloped with panic as I stared at the scene in front of me. My father in a state of half-shift, his clothes already partly torn from it. Jake, pinned below him, his eyes filled with so much fear and shock as he

CHAPTER ONE A knock on the door disrupted her sleep, causing her brows to crease as she rolled to the other side of the bed. She scrunched her eyes up, trying to get back to her sleep when another series of knocking came after. “Hmm.” She groaned out, her hand fumbling on the bed as she reached for the blanket, throwing it over herself and acting cozy inside of it. “You have to open the door princess,” she heard her maid say from the door, causing the frown on her face to deepen.

  • The Rejected Doctor   Ending the war

Richard’s POV:This is how it ends.I transformed back to my human form, my chest bare.I looked around me, watching the Rogues being tied down around me. The death of Leon had caused an immediate and drastic drop in morale. The Rogues didn’t fight anymore, allowing themselves to be chained.Among them, were the Evans family too. They had been brought out by the warriors as per my orders. The night was still as I stood in the center of such chaos.I never knew silence could be quite this deafening.“The battle is over,” I said, looking around me with steely eyes to my tired warriors, but still victorious. I felt satisfaction in seeing all the familiar faces around me. Not many of them fell, to my joy. “We will dispose of the traitors today and rebuild our pack. This victory isn’t anything but a symbol of our strength, and our unity. For in our unity,” I rolled my shoulders back and raised my voice even louder. “We will never fall.”The cheers of my warriors were enough to dare me, and

“No! No! Father, you can’t do this to me! You can’t do this!” A tiny voice cried out, her voice echoing through the four corners of the room.“Stand up!” A loud voice boomed through her ears and ran through her body, causing her to hold her tears. He stood up from his throne, all tall and authoritative. The royal staff in his hand touched the ground and silenced everyone in the room. He studied his steps casually, walking towards her and sending streams of shivers down her spine.“Stand up!” He ordered. She didn’t need to be told twice. She scrambled up immediately, balancing her feet and lowering her head to the ground. He raised his hand to her, and she recoiled at the thought of him hitting her head, “Stacey, you’re nothing but a weak wolf. And your presence in this pack is not needed. I regret the day I gave birth to you. And today is one of my happiest days in this pack, to finally see that you have a use for me.” He said without mercy. She clenched her fist so hard her nails pie

Arielle’s POV:I felt so helpless, slowly walking towards the nearest safe house and holding a slowly bleeding Darren. The unconscious Beta groaned out loud and i bit my lip, looking down at him and adjusting my sweaty grip on him.“Don’t worry, Darren,” I said, feeling somewhat crazy to be speaking to an unconscious man. “I’ll get you help. You’re going to be fine,” my voice broke.Tears came to my eyes as I continued to step forward. Just one step forward I told myself.Oh great goddess, please help me. A tear slipped down my cheek as I thought of what Lilian would say to me if she saw her mate like this. I couldn’t do this to her. Please Darren be alright, i pleaded in my mind.“Arielle?” It was Ethan@/ voice that made me look up. Our eyes met and I felt small as he ran over to me, his own eyes wide with shock. “What happened to him?”“What do you think?” My voice sounded bitter and rough as I responded. Guilt and remorse filled my body all of a sudden as I saw Ethan look down. “I’

  • The Rejected Doctor   Fighting through the pain

Richard’s POV:I was running with fury at the forefront of my mind.I was such an idiot. I had made so much mistakes in the past few days. Now I had made the worst mistake.I had left my pack alone, at such an important time. Now they were being attacked.“Two of you go to the west gate and see what’s happening,” I ordered two of the swiftest warriors in my team. They nodded in unison and were off. We kept on going on our journey, and I began to feel dizzy for a second. At once I felt a burning sensation in my throat, as well as a sting on my arm. Then, a slash at my throat. My hands flew to check my Throat and found it unblemished.I was feeling the pain from my pack members.‘and it was a lot. I know fact, it was too much.I groaned out loud, trying to not let my sounds of pain get heard by anyone. I needed to get to the pack immediately.I could only hope that Darren had managed to stave off the worst of the attack I now knew that Leon was behind.Saying a small prayer to the moon g

  • The Rejected Doctor   The Storm is Here

Arielle’s POV:My heart was pounding as I said those words to my mate. In my mind it was like the world had come down on me. The alarm bells blares in my ears like a war gong, and I was left feeling helpless and lost.In reality, I was still in my office, with Meera looking meekly away from the glares of either myself or Ethan.Richard’s words came through the mind link that we shared.‘What’s going on, love? And I’m on my way. It was a trap,’ he sounded regretful, and there was a tinge of disgust punctuating his words. What had happened to make him sound like that?‘A trap?’ So this had all been planned.‘Elise and Hunter are working with the Rogues. They’re working with Leon. I think he may be on his way there now,’ he sounded like he was running while he spoke.I swallowed, the anxiety coming back in droves. Oh great goddess. In a shaky tone I replied to my mate, ‘I think he’s here right now. The alarm bells have been going off for nearly thirty minutes now.’ I paused. ‘What should

  • The Rejected Doctor   Diversion

Richard’s POV:We made our way through the shortcut that Falcon had proposed.Darren and I had quickly met with him when the team was put together, and we had decided that we would be taking that route. I didn’t think that it was certainly a trap or anything but it didn’t hurt to be prepared and use the element of surprise on our side. However much I wanted to believe that things would go smoothly with Elise and Hunter, some part of me knew that it was somehow doomed from the start. Of course I couldn’t just come out and say thy to everyone, so I kept silent. I think it was my serious expression that gave away that I was brooding, for none of my men spoke to me or questioned me at any point in time.Luckily for us that was what saved us. We were near the presumed location of Elise and Hunter and the sun was shining brightly in the sky.I heard a twig snap and my ears picked up at the sound of it. Someone was in front of us.“Stop,” I called out. Everyone of my warriors fell silent imm
