The smile of relief I had on my face gradually faded as I watched them make their way slowly and carefully into the building.

“Lily,” Andre’s voice jolted me out of my thoughts and I had no idea how long I’ve been staring without blinking for until he called me and I blinked.

“I didn’t….. I didn’t know they were together.” He said and I lifted my gaze to see him looking down at me pitifully.

I looked back at Nikolai and Jenna and neither of them seemed to notice my presence. Nikolai was too busy taking care of Jenna to notice that I was staring at them.

Embarrassment washed over me as almost all of the maids could see me breaking, they stared at me like they were sorry I had to see something like that.

“Excuse me.” I coughed as I turned to make my way through the crowd and for a moment I thought I was alone until I heard footsteps behind me.
