Father-daughter Time

No matter the way Alaric kept me warm the whole night, stayed by my side, pacified me, and kissed me again and again; nothing could change the fear he experienced when I suddenly left him. I could see it in his eyes. The spark was replaced by anger. He didn’t vent it out. He reserved it.

The morning was on the horizon. We lay in each other’s arms. The night went by staring at the sky. It was dark, starred, and red. The red never faded. It was there. Always.

I woke up from my nap with Noah clearing his throat. I was snuggled in Alaric's arms with the same cloth wrapped over our bodies. It barely covered us both. I looked at Noah with sleepy eyes. He bowed.

“Luna,” he said with a blushing face. Alaric was sound asleep with his arm resting over my belly and our legs intertwined. I poked him softly. He groaned and hugged me tighter.
