Chapter 4.

Damian’s POV.

I bumped into a small body immediately after I got out of my room. “What the fuck!” I thought.

I looked down to check who it was I bumped into only to see a pair of blue eyes looking up at me.

Those eyes looked too familiar...

“Damian.” She says

“Allison” I called back.

She looks very much different now, more beautiful. I could get lost in those beautiful eyes of her. She looks so innocent.

I do not understand why I feel the way I feel and why I’m having these thoughts. I was about to turn away when my breathing suddenly stopped.

A sudden uneasy feeling draped over me, a sort of exciting feeling.

“Mate,” Said my wolf, and I didn’t know when I uttered the word possessively.

“Mate!” I say.

She gave me a confused look and that’s when the situation at hand dawned on me.

Allison is my Mate!

This human is my mate!

I don’t know why I feel happy about this discovery. I want to kiss and hold her so badly. I don’t know why I feel like this because I do not like the idea of being mated to a human. I guess it’s that’s the work of the mate pull.

She was about to say something when I turned back and left. I have to leave before I say or do something stupid.

I entered my room and shut the door, I still can’t believe she’s the mate I’ve searching for all these years.

I picked up my phone and dialed Alex’s number, he picked up after a few rings.

“What’s up, man?” Alex says.

“ I just found my mate,” I say.

“Wow!” Alex exclaimed happily. “I’m happy for you man. And who’s the lucky girl?” He asks.

I pause for some second because I say with a low voice; “Allison. It’s Allison Alex.” I answered confused.

“I knew it!” Alex shouted happily. “Congratulations to the both of you man.”

“You’re happy it’s her right?” Alex asks when I didn’t say anything for a while.

“Surprisingly, I am Alex. But I’m not sure she feels the same way.” I say.

“Why do you think so?” He asks.

I ran my hand through my hair confused. “ I don’t know man, maybe it’s the way she looked at me when I called her mate. You know she can’t feel the mate pull because she’s human.” I said in frustration.

“Calm down Damian, you can’t say for sure,” Alexsaysy. “Just calm down.”

“Alright man. Thank you so much.” I said and ended the call.

I don’t know why I feel so uneasy. Alex asked me to stay calm but I don’t think I can. I guess it’s the stupid mate bond.

I guess I just have to wait and hear what she has to say about us. being mate .

Alex’s POV.

I was busy playing games on my phone when Damian’s call came in.

“What’s up, man?” I said immediately I picked up the call.

“I just found my mate,” Damian says at the other end.

I sat up and smiled immediately I heard that my best friend had found his mate after all these years of searching for her.

“Wow!” I exclaimed happily... “I’m happy for you man. Who’s the lucky girl?” I ask him.

There was a pause from his side for some seconds before he finally answered; “ Allison. It’s Allison Alex,” Damian says confused.

“I knew it!” I shouted happily.

I’ve always had this strong feeling that both of them would be mates. “Congratulations to the both of you man,” I say again.

“You’re happy it’s her right?” I ask when Damian didn’t say anything for a while.

He sighs before saying; “ surprisingly, I am Alex.” But I’m not sure she feels the same way.

“Why do you think so? I ask

“ I don’t know man,” he says ...

“Maybe it’s the way she looked at me when I called her mate. You know she can’t feel the mate pull because she’s human,” he said with frustration.

“Calm down Damian, you can’t say for sure,” I say to him. “Just calm down.”

“Alright man, thank you so much.” He said and ended the call.

I looked at my call log to be sure it was Damian I just spoke to. I shook my head and smiled. Who knew finding his mate could make him this humble and vulnerable?

I wonder what fate has in store for both of them. I thought as picked up my phone to continue playing games.
