She was surprised to hear that, and Evan had expected that; he was sure that Aaron was his son and he would soon confirm it.

"Bella's words got stuck in her throat."

Evan's eyes locked onto Bella's, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "He must be a bright and curious boy; may be he has your spark, your passion. And he's got my eyes, my smile."
