Chapter 31

Bella opened her eyes to the dawn. She sat on the bed because she hadn't discovered her husband there. She saw her old Evan, who truly looked out for her, last night when Evan prepared her a sandvich.

She can't recall how or why Evan behaved badly toward her, but all of a sudden she remembers how he treated her. She can't recall anything, and everything is so hazy that it feels like a dream.

She can no longer tell what is real and what is a dream; her intellect tells her that everything is genuine and will occur someday, while her heart assures her that everything is OK and that it's all just a bad dream.

She got out of bed and went downstairs to look for her husband. She was certain that he was at home because it was Sunday. She steps toward the kitchen, where she finds her husband cooking, after catching the lovely fragrance of food. She gave him a quick glance, grinned, and then swiftly forgot what she had been thinking.

"You woke up, baby; food is almost ready." Evan replied, glan
