“You can’t keep this hidden forever, Stephan, we cannot sit here and decide the boy’s future, it is his life and we can do nothing, but guide him.” Jayden Fenrys spoke, while sitting across from the Alpha and Luna of the Calyx.
“I know Jayden and trust me, I’m his father, I would never want to dictate my son’s life, but he is the most vulnerable and sensitive soul, I can’t help but want to hide him from all evil.” Stephan expressed gravely, while Diana rubbed his shoulders in silence.
The three adults were seated in the living room of the Marrok residence, the calm weather outside contrasting the raging storms, in the hearts of two worried parents.
“Alpha Fenrys, Elio is still very young and unaware of all he can do and all others can do to him,” Diana spoke for the first time, since Jayden has arrived.
“I want to be able to help him and always support him, I am a mere Omega but I will not hesitate to stand against anyone who tries to hurt him in any way.” Diana made direct eye contact with both Alphas, as she voiced her opinion.
“My son is special, he is blessed by the Moon Goddess and I want him to be able to live with that with pride, all I ask of you is to never let him forget that, because there will be many who will try and make him believe otherwise.” The Omega requested with glistening hazel eyes, as both Alphas listened attentively.
“Elio’s life is going to be full of inevitable obstacles and so I want him to be trained in that way.” Diana finally spoke what she has been meaning to say to her husband, as well as the other pack Alpha.
“What do you mean Diana?” Alpha Marrok asked, holding his wife’s delicate hands.
“Train him like an Alpha, Stephan.” The Omega tightened her grip on her Alpha’s hands, hopeful eyes trained on her husband.
“I agree with your Luna, Stephan, there is no harm in preparing your boy for a better future.” Jayden nodded his head in understanding.
“However, one problem remains; The Council.” Alpha Fenrys pointed out, deplorably.
The Werewolf Council comprised of the heads of six major wolf packs, surrounding all the four directions and the one main leader of the central pack, which was the largest.
The packs were namely the Calyx and the Nova in the east; the Orion and the Juniper in the south; the Delphine in the west and the Spruce in the north; with the Cypress at the center.
All pack leaders were responsible for decision making and were entitled to their own sets of morals and opinions, which often clashed with each other.
Omega's were always a sensitive topic and both pack Alpha's knew, there would be major setbacks of revealing the current situation.
“I will deal with them when the time comes Jayden, you for a fact know, what I am capable of.” Stephan Marrok smiled at his old friend and his Luna, despite everything. He knew that above all, he had the support of his close ones.
“Count me in, Alpha Marrok, pack Nova is and always will be, an ally.” Jayden smiled back at them.
Stephan was immensely grateful for a friend like Jayden, he knew he could trust the impeccable Alpha in any situation.
While the pack elders were having their discussion, their children were playing in the fields without any care. Anyone could take one look at the joyous faces of the young pups and decipher how much they were enjoying each other’s company.
Elio had refused to play with his other friends and gave all his attention to Adrian.
None of the children minded, except one person. Ashton Marrok, who was Elio’s cousin and an Alpha.
He didn’t like the fact that the Omega was only playing with the other pack Alpha’s son.
He approached the two boys, playing on the wooden swings and glared at his cousin.
Adrian was pushing the swing while Elio was shrieking in happiness, feeling as if he was flying.
“Why are you pushing him so hard, he will fall!” Ashton scolded the other Alpha boy, who was the same age as him.
“I won’t let him fall, don’t worry.” Adrian reassured politely, with a smile.
“Elio I will tell Aunt Diana, you are being reckless.” Ashton warned, making Elio frown and jump down from the swing.
His mother was very protective over him and she would not let him play anymore if his brother Ashton would go and complain.
“Why are you here Ash, go play with Alwyn and the others.” The Omega whined at his older cousin.
“I want to play with you.” Ashton said, while ignoring Adrian completely.
Elio tilted his head in confusion, Ash never played with him, he always said that he didn’t want to play with an Omega like him.
“No, I will play with Addy.” The Omega stubbornly replied and clasped Adrian’s hand dragging him somewhere else, leaving an irritated Ashton behind.
Elio had become fond of the young Alpha from pack Nova, in a very short time and he was enjoying his calming presence.
The Omega happily showed Adrian around the pack house as promised, skipping along the rows of wooden houses and flourishing fields.
When they reached the training grounds and saw the pack wolves training, Elio suddenly halted, watching in awe.
“I want to transform too.” Elio mumbled, pouting his rosy lips, watching the wolves participate in a playful fight.
“You will, in a few years time.” Adrian told the Omega, who turned his unique, maroon eyes towards him.
“Can you transform?” Elio questioned the Alpha expectantly, he knew Adrian was eight years old, which was a standard age for the wolf to start transformation training.
“I did start training after my eighth birthday.” Adrian spoke with flushed cheeks, while scratching the back of his neck.
“That is so cool Addy!” Elio replied, totally flattered.
“It will take some time to perfect my form though.” Adrian explained quickly.
“Oh, so you can’t show me right now.” Elio sighed softly, in disappointment.
“I will complete my basic training till the next full moon, my father said I’m a fast learner.” Adrian said trying to make the Omega happy again, but failed.
“But you still can’t show me.” Elio whined.
“We can meet like last time, near the waterfall, I can show you then.” Adrian suggested hopefully, the last time he had met the Omega in that particular field, they had a pretty good time together, playing hide and seek.
“Oh yes! I will meet you there when the next full moon comes.” Elio's face immediately lit up and he smiled so radiantly at him, that the Alpha forgot to blink for a few moments.
“But it will be our secret meeting, okay?” Elio asked and Adrian, once again nodded without hesitation; unknowingly starting a tradition between the two, which would one day, turn out to be their most cherished memory.
“You’re my best friend Addy, you never say no to me.” The Omega declared, while intertwining their hands together and the Alpha felt honored to befriend him.
Adrian didn’t have many friends and nor was he a very talkative person, but ever since he met Elio, he wanted to be around the amiable Omega.
“Really?” Adrian smiled at his new best friend.
“Yes!” Elio giggled and nodded his head vigorously, his brown waves shaking with the movement.
None of the two were sad when they parted that day, because they knew they were going to meet again.
The cracking sounds of bone joints echoed, as the young wolf turned back to his human form, his exceptional glowing eyes, turning back to the original black color, which was a sign of strength, in the werewolf kind. Only the most powerful kind of wolves were able to change their eye color on transformation and Alpha Fenrys was proud that his son had inherited that from him. The Nova pack was the second largest pack in the werewolf community and being its head Alpha, was not in the least bit easy. Jayden Fenrys had to prove himself time an again, to earn the leadership of the pack from his father and it made him the experienced and competent man, that he was today. He wished the same for his son, who had already made him proud in everything he did. Adrian was such a good son; it was almost impossible to tell that he grew up without a mother. The Luna of pack Nova had parted from her family the same day Adrian had arrived into the world, the pack Alpha still remembered the last con
“A flower smells the sweetest, the day it blossoms, Lucifer.” A deep voice rasped, that dripped with malicious amusement. “What do you mean master?” The wolf called Lucifer, spoke in a sepulchral manner. “The right time, Lucifer, the right moment to strike, where victory is guaranteed.” The master grinned, eyes hooked on the two distracted pups, who were too engrossed in each other to care about the danger lurking around. “Let’s retreat for now, before the night patrol catches our scent.” The two giant wolves concluded their exchange and disappeared, deep into the woods. As the days passed by, Adrian and Eliot met each other every month, on the day of the full moon, reuniting in the same field each time and they talked and played to their hearts content, until the near break of dawn forced them apart. In all this time they spent together, the Alpha realized how different his friend was from other Omegas. Elio would catch his scent from miles away and he was not even at his transf
The Calyx pack members swore to keep Elio’s transformation a secret, when requested by their pack Alpha. Stephan made sure to keep the vulnerable identity of his Omega son, eclipsed from the rest of the werewolf community for the time being, in accordance to the plan that he had discussed with his friend. The Alpha did not want to compromise in any form when it came to his family’s safety, he had one son and he was ready to raise hell in his defense, if the need would arise. Elio was still young and the journey of facing the world had just commenced, he was still learning about his own self, exploring the extent of the unmatched power he was blessed with. The Omega’s strength was equal to that of a full-grown Alpha at the tender age of twelve and there were mixed reactions from the people of the pack. The number of friends Elio had, decreased day by day, the cause being his own elder cousin, trying to convince everyone how hostile and tainted he was. “Even the Omegas don’t want y
“Alpha Ryan, alert the frontier wolves, I’m sure it’s the night patrol and the border guards who are engaged at present.” Diana promptly analyzed the situation, stepping into the responsibility of leadership in the absence of the pack Alpha. “That’s right Luna, the alert has already been issued.” Alpha Ryan replied, he too had immediately taken the required action, as soon as the news of the attack reached him. “That is good, dispatch a warning to the pack members, none of the Omegas, children and juvenile Alphas uncapable of combat should step out of the homes, tell them to secure their houses.” Diana instructed as she locked her own house securely, with her sleeping son inside. “I have done that as well; five Beta wolves are already running the perimeter around pack borders, to assess the numbers of the enemy.” Alpha Ryan informed, as he accompanied the Luna towards the main packhouse. “You are extremely reliable, Alpha Ryan, if not for you and with Stephan missing, we would have
The three wolves turned in unison to face the glowing scarlet eyes, as a medium sized wolf emerged from the middle of the Oak trees, its silver fur standing out in the dark. “Didn’t you hear me?” the voice of the young wolf bellowed in their minds again, “I said step away from my mother, you filthy creatures!” The Omega shrieked at the wolves encircling Diana. “This has to be some kind of joke, an Omega pup is here to save the day, quick, act scared.” The Alpha holding a grip on Diana spoke up, “I guess it’s my luck-” The wolf didn’t get to complete, when suddenly, the white wolf lunged forward with blinding speed and lodged its jaws into the Alpha’s free forelimb, earning an anguished growl. Before the Alpha had time to react, Elio jerked his head with full force to the side, making the Alpha wolf tumble a few feet away, freeing his mother from the painful grip, as he rushed towards her. Elio nudged the blood-soaked snout of his mother’s golden-brown wolf, lying weakly on the grou
“Maa, open your eyes, talk to me please, don’t leave me, NO!” Elio screamed awake, panting and sweating, feeling as if someone was pounding on his head with rocks, “Ughh,” the Omega groaned, clutching his head. “Elio, are you okay, does it hurt anywhere!?” A familiar worried voice asked, the Omega rubbed his blurry eyes and blinked to see his friend Alwyn sitting on the corner of his bed, concern etched on his face. “Alwyn?” Elio asked in a daze, as he slowly looked around and realized he was in his own cozy bedroom, but then again, the events of the moonless night hit him like a boulder, his heart rate became rapid at the recollection of his mother’s state. “Maa!” Elio gasped, “Alwyn, where is my mother!?” The Omega asked, his body jolting in worry, he was so stupid, how could he have collapsed like that when his mother was bleeding so much, she was alive right? Alpha Ryan had come, he had saved her right? Elio’s thoughts were in absolute splits, he wasn’t even able to hear what A
“How dare that low class, wretched male Omega speak to me in that manner.” Alpha Darius grumbled while stomping through the main gate of the Packhouse of the Calyx. He was fuming in anger at the insulting behavior of the pack Alpha and his lowborn son, they had the audacity to tell him, who was an extremely respected member of the Council, to leave in such a rude manner, it was absolutely humiliating. Darius was walking across the field towards the guest lodge, simmering in his thoughts, when he felt someone following him. The Alpha turned abruptly to face a young black haired Alpha boy, who flinched when Darius had turned all of a sudden. The older Alpha’s enraged expression transitioned into an irritated one, as he raised his eyebrows questionably towards the timid looking, lanky Alpha boy. “I wanted to tell you something, mister Darius, my name is Ashton Marrok, the one who is going to be next pack Alpha.” Ashton spoke, trying not to show how scared he was, but his confidence c
Several thick layers of snow covered everything in sight, from the bare branches of the humongous Pines, to the jagged rocky lands and hill slopes, the solitary flowing river nearby too, was encased in frosty glass. The freezing cold vast stretches of the oddly aligned peaks, that were collectively called the Snowy Mountains, truly lived up to its name, providing a perfect set of conditions to ensure, that a werewolf either gets trained to its best abilities or dies of frostbite, and fortunately all the Alphas that were receiving the training currently, did not experience the latter. The special training camp for Alphas at the Snowy Mountains housed candidates from all places far and wide, almost all of them being absolute strangers to each other, but as the years passed by, most of the Alphas had formed a great bond together and despite being of a reserved nature, Adrian had befriended some amazing Alphas too. “Finally, we’re back, no matter how many times I do this, I’ll never rea
Adrian gently pushed the door open into his spacious room, as he put the smiling Omega back onto his feet, on the soft hardwood floor.Elio inhaled the refreshing, mahogany scent of the Alpha that lingered everywhere in the room, it was an oddly familiar feeling, coming back here again after a handful years. There was the same large bed next to the wall, the dark curtains that swayed lightly in the moonlit breeze slipping in from the full-sized sliding window of the empty balcony, and the metal wind chime that tinkled along, most of the things in this room were the same as before, at first glance, yet there were a few changes. The little things that Elio observed, showed that the Alpha had grown up with time. There were twin longswords hanging on the far wall, a small writing desk with a stack of scrolls and papers, occupied a warm corner by the hearth. The rosewood shelf across the room was bigger now and fuller with different books and metal badges, signifying Adrian’s various achie
Adrian, Elio, and their friends reached pack Nova by early dusk, they were warmly welcomed by the representative pack members and everyone seemed elated to be in their presence. The residents of the Nova pack were very excited to meet their Alpha heir’s friends, they pretended to go about their everyday chores out in the fields, with an actual intention to catch a glimpse, of the most famous young wolves of their generation. There were hushed noises of awe, surprise, and heartfelt gushes, especially as the wondering eyes of the crowd fell over the chattering Omega whose hands were entwined softly, with their brightly grinning Alpha. Elio and Adrian were in the spotlight even as they merely walked towards the Fenrys residence. The people had not seen Adrian be this comfortable with anyone other than his father, everyone could immediately tell that Elio meant a lot to him. There was no denying that there were substantial rumors about the male Omega, ever since the events of the rog
Elio had been to the Nova pack, a couple of times before when he was younger, but this time, felt a whole lot different for him. They were going to Adrian’s pack to meet his friends according to what they had planned, and it pushed the dainty little Omega’s nerves to the edge, thinking about all sorts of things, while sitting cross legged on the bed. What kind of impression would he have on his Alpha friends, would they judge him? would he be able to act normally in front of Alpha Fenrys? Will he end up embarrassing everyone? All these questions were driving him anxious.“Elio?” Adrian’s voice snapped him out of his internal panicking and he turned to look at the Alpha who had just stepped out of the bathroom. He was freshly showered, his hair dripping wet, dampening the plain white shirt he had on.“I asked you for a towel,” The Alpha repeated and purposely ruffled his drenched hair to sprinkle droplets of water on Elio, who giggled and reached for the towel near the cupboard, but th
“Let go of me, please, let go!” A high-pitched voice resonated amidst the deserted forest, situated near the pack borders of the Cypress that appeared dark and eerie, surrounded by dense vegetation clogging the moonlight.“What did you think, you could escape you disgusting little wench!” A deeper voice answered and the sound of agonizing screams accompanied, as the two bulky figures began kicking a collapsed whimpering bundle on the rocky ground.“No, please!” The petite male cried, “please let me go, I won’t ever try to run away again, I beg you!” The young boy pleaded clutching his abused stomach, and weakly struggled to a kneeling position, using the leftover strength in his frail, bruised arms.“This is what you deserve, you thankless whore, we have shown mercy letting such a lowlife breed like you to stay in our chambers despite being rejected twice and this is how you repay us!” The taller
Elio was impatiently tapping his foot waiting for Adrian to return from the infirmary, since he had got a lot of rest the entire day, the petite male couldn’t sleep a wink, and he was only looking forward to spend his time cuddling with the Alpha, while being all warm and snug in his safe arms. It was a little selfish on his part to make Adrian stay the night, but the Omega couldn’t help it because he had really gotten used to the Alpha’s calming presence. Honestly, if it were up to him, the Omega would have preferred for the Alpha to stay forever, but then again, he didn’t have the courage to say that to him, nor the right. Adrian was an Alpha heir, and he definitely had more important responsibilities than to hang around a silly Omega, who was secretly crushing on him. Elio had finally let himself admit that he had a crush on his best friend, which was obviously only the half-truth, the Omega still didn’t allow his heart to proclaim the more transpa
“I was not like this a few years back, I actually quite detested my father for never loving me like a son and always forcing his decisions on me,” Enrique Czar spoke in a tired voice, “I didn’t ever object his behavior too, because I knew it was no use, my mother had abandoned us when I was too young to remember and I was thoroughly lonely for most of my life.” The Alpha let out a sigh. “But then one day, when I went for a casual run in the forest, I stumbled into the most beautiful Omega wolf I had ever laid eyes on, its alluring scent instantly enraptured all my senses and I couldn’t help but want to get closer, but the blue-eyed wolf ran away the first time.” Enrique recalled and Elio didn’t miss the way his lips quirked up in a small smile. “I daily went to that same place, wanting to see that cream-colored wolf again and after a few restless weeks I finally managed to catch it one morning, which is when I witnessed his human form; he was a male Omega,” The Alpha
Enrique Czar’s dark grey wolf took two steps back in pure fear, his instincts were screaming for him to back away from the fiery red eyes that had ignited with raw fury, after rising from its fallen state. The glowing silver wolf bared its blood smeared jaws at him, making shivers run down his spine, as Elio’s deep voice invaded his mind. “I hope you remember every degrading word you have used for me and every other Omega, Czar, because it is time to pay back.” Elio growled and attacked the Alpha with lightning speed, while surprised gasps resounded through the crowd. The Omega rammed his claws in Enrique’s shoulder and stabbed him deep, earning an anguished howl, while he flipped the Alpha mid-air, making him tumble with a harsh crash, a few feet away. “Look clearly Alpha, who is the weakling here!” Elio spoke, while pouncing again, this time snapping his jaws on the darker wolf’s limb, and dragging him to the middle of the field mercilessly, ripping
“This is definitely that Council member’s doing, he knew Czar would lose in a fair fight, and so he took my sister.” Alwyn spoke with gritted teeth, fisting the bedsheet on Elio’s bed. “We will have to find her, there’s still time till the afternoon, we can do it before that.” Adrian said, from where he was standing. “Yes, we have to, I’m sure they have her captive somewhere around, we all parted at almost daybreak, she must have been taken away after she went in her room to sleep, in the early hours itself.” Alwyn stated, restlessly standing up. “Right, the letter said that we are being watched, meaning they have someone spying on us too, we can’t take the risk of telling anyone else.” Adrian spoke, as he glanced at the Omega, who was leaning on the window sill silently. Elio had not said anything since the letter arrived, the Alpha could guess what he was thinking, while he walked towards the maroon eyed boy and gently took his hands in his, gaining his attention. “It is not you
Elio had never thought that there were such heartless and filthy people responsible for the leadership of their kind, he couldn’t get himself to believe how and when the society that they were living in, had grown so tainted, that he felt ashamed of being a part of it. Corrupt minds and rotten souls were unjustly depriving wolves of their basic living rights, while exploiting their ranks and power from the top. Looking at the obnoxious file still in his hands, Elio felt extremely revolted and furious. “Addy.” He called out to the Alpha on the other end, his voice sounding hoarse to his own ears. “This file.” Elio spoke agonizingly slow, as he showed and explained everything to his Alpha friend, who’s expression transitioned from concern to absolute horror. “They’re kidnapping and selling Omegas, and we don’t even know what for, yet.” Elio whispered in disbelief, as a single tear rolled down his cheek. Adrian immediately engulfed the Omega in his arms tightly, feeling awful, witne
